Just to see if there really is a difference with taste, terpenes, trichomes. No purpose but to see for myself.
Go for it! But unless you're working with clones it's all just for fun.

Also, trichome ripeness is judged on the calyxes rather than the sugar leaves, so see if you can get some pics of those since sugar leaf trichomes ripen first.

I'm thinking check this Friday again and if not ready I'll harvest the following Friday if more than 70 percent of trichomes are cloudy. I might wait to get some amber trichomes as well, haven't decided.
I'd say you have a week, but it doesn't cost anything to check daily unless you're renting the loupe!
