The 26g? gallon sterelite totes are ideal for storing and cooking soil.
Easy to warm them up with a seedling heating pad underneath - every grower should have one anyway.
I've also successfully cooked the last two weeks in individual 6 gallon pots - with plants in them. The progression in the plants was obvious and entertaining.
My soil was only 2 weeks into the cook and I had to upcan, so ... I did a Ziggy and potted 'em up, heheh. I don't recommend it - there's some funky chemical reactions going on in the early cook that'll kill a plant dead - but I got away with it. So I think yes, you could recook in pots, but no, you're better off with a bigger volume as Doc said.
I keep all my soil in totes and simply wet them down and heat them when they come up in rotation. Throw some leaves in there, close it up and check back in a week or so. If the leaves are gone, you're good to go.
[Edit] Sheesh, nice plants, Aruu!
