I'm lazy, so I would go straight to the 3 gal smart pots. Actually, that is what I do anyways. I'm sure others will disagree through lol
 
Ok great thanks for your input guys.. when i transplanted before i flipped them last grow my plants were pretty big and hard to transplant. So i think thats the decider and you are right 3 isnt much bigger then 1.5.. i read you always want to transplant into a container 50% bigger so thats why i think the 100% increase from 1.5 to 3 gal is justified. But ill take the easier route this time lol
 
Ok guys stayed up late lastnight getting the tent put together after jarring my buds up that were drying in there. I moved the filter and fan into the tent more but sideways so i have more room to move the lights over. I wanted to do this initially when i got the second light but got lazy. It may not be taking the heat out as well though darn it. Stupid heat, i think im gonna get another viparspectra and get rid of the mars, cant stand the heat output of that older model or maybe its the brand in general not sure which. The extra red lighting does nothing imo, just adds light.

The ladies are adjusting to their new home.. They will be droopy and sad looking for a few days. The light under the leds is over ten times brighter and is full spectrum lighting compared to the veg box lights. The ib's inner growth is looking really strong, i think it will go nuts with the new lights. Ill be transplanting them later today as well so im putting them through all the stress now so i should be able to flip them in about a month i hope. The stalks of both plants are very strong, cant wait to see how thick they get.

Im thinking of getting a 600w viparspectra and avoiding the extra costs of the dimmable slightly better par700 model. 900w, around 400 true watts, in my tent should be perfect and i could daisy chain the two lights. Not sure if the slightly better wattage, red spectrum and dimmable features is worth the extra $150. Opinions?

Hey Toasted! Sorry so late getting ready for my first harvest. Think m gonna go with Dr. Ziggy low n slow methid in the fridge. Gonna dry some the normal way also. But hey i took my older mars 600 out jus because of the heat it put out. It was crazy because it had the same watts at the wall as my dormgrow but five times the heat!! I do want to use the light but have to figure the heat it puts out maybe use it during the cold winter months. Glad u got things looking good. M bout to drop my Jackalope (jack smack crossed with chocolope) this weekend and start me a new journal soon. Cant wait till m trimming buds and have a pyarmid of bud like u!! Oh yea great haul last harvest m sure ur gonna do better thus go round!! M subbed!!
 
Thanks pino glad to have ya back! No idea what the dr ziggy method is.. ill have to check it out for next time. You dry it in the fridge? Sounds so crazy it just might work lol. Yea it must be the older models, i don't see people complaining about the heat output of the newer ones. Yum that strain sounds good man and i cant wait to see it going! Youll have a big pile of frosty buds soon pino!!

Got those new epistar 160's and the heat from them is nothing. You can barely hear them running as well. They really pump it out though. The COB chips seem to be more efficient than the older or the reflector models.
 
Hmm ok thanks so.. thats the same price as the par700 and it may be too much for my small tent with the other light. The 600w viparspectra is $189 i think. Ill have to look at the specs closer. Plus i cant keep the lights too far away i dont have much head room.. only 60" in there lol its like bending down to kiss a short girl when i put my head in the tent lmao

I grew these bad fuels with 2 600w Viparspectra in my 4/4 they have been great.
 
I use one mh/hps with one viparspectra 600w and have great results as well . Last run i was on 400w hps with the 600 vipar and still got killer results .
 
I have the viparspectra 600, not the dimmable one, I have the ones with the veg and bloom switch. I actually have 2 of them. I really like the fact you can keep them only 18 inches from the plants. My galaxy hydro is supposed to stay much further away than that. Plus I just used the veg switch during veg to save energy and promote tight node growth. With my 2 viparspectra's I believe I am around 550 or 600 actual watts.
