As long as the Chemdog is good that’s all you need!! :rollit:

^^^^ What he said.... congrats on the harvests and MOM... awesome job buddy!

Moldy buds... shit that sucks. I've never had that problem after harvest but I get extremely paranoid about it. I watch the weather extended forecast and wont harvest if there's going to be 3 days of rain... also keep a fan blowing on the hanging buds 24/7... then when I trim I put them into a cardboard box instead of a jar for the first 24 hrs and even sometimes put a fan on them in the box.

They get a little dryer but then after jarring, they rehydrate up to about perfect 62%.. still need to open the jars for several days ... then good to go.

There are mold spores everywhere. Tossing stuff and bleach cleaning... may help a little bit. My opinion is to keep environment in a state where the mold spores don't start growing... RH >60% if I can and LOTS of wind. I spray my plants with Horsetail Fern Tea starting in VEG - that puts the keibash on the mold from the get go. If you have mold in the flowers after harvest the spores were there from the beginning of flower. They didn't somehow burrow their way into the flowers after harvest. The environment changed to a point where they were happy to start growing and the plant could not fight them off since she was chopped.

I bet this issue is a lot more common that folks would like to think!
I'm now off to check all my jars....

Good job and congrats on the award! Well deserved my friend!:high-five:

I know that disappointed feeling of putting so much into it only to have it ripped away before you get to enjoy it. It sucks and like you, I didn’t have it in me to spend much time here looking at everyone else’s successes after I was done.

No need to apologize, everyone understands I’m sure.

Your Chemdawg will make you forget all about it. Maybe literally! :D :ganjamon:

Smart thinking on the rain forecast though as humidity spikes cleaver man

Yes mold spores are every where i know. The foundation of my basement is cracked and is just bare concrete floor. Gets wet all the time and theres some funky shit down there... sucks living in it.. probably not good for me lol. Think about it A LOT and know no amount of cleaning will help. I read you cannot clean mold as it will grow back given the right environment like ya said. Musty hay like smells in buds are common signs of the mold, aspergillus. Which is the most common type of mold found on weed. I remember smoking quite a bit of moldy shit when i moved here. This place kinda sucks to grow weed in i guess lol.

Thank you guys so much for cheering me up.. been in such an awesome mood today! Woke up early excited to use my new machine and to work on the garden. Having a perpetual grow is difficult and i went kinda crazy. You really need a plan like van stank showed in his journal last week i think. Helped me understand what i need to do if i want to keep this going.

Do yall know if the pollen in the flowers of my spider plant will pollenate my buds? I dont think it works that way but fuck if i know lol. Veg tent is still a jungle.

Yea im over it and ready to move on.. thanks fellas! New testers from the lost coast and chemdawg are so damn good. That helps too lol. Tells me they are ready. Trich check this morning comfirmed that for the lost coast but the chemdawg needs another week or so. No ambers yet and about 75% cloudy 25% clear. I noticed the trichs on these organic buds are way fuller and more robust and the high from them is better too. Could be the strains obviously but the weed is way more sticky and resinous then my previous grows using synthetics.

Yea it sounds like a mini chainsaw when the blades are on lol. It is a really great machine!! Im kinda messed up now after ingesting so much oil and have to drive over to my parents house for dinner. Wish me luck!!

Added some shakey trim to the mix and kinda ruined the clearness, lack of a better word, to the oil. Strained it twice, once through cheesecloth but still had sediment. Oh well tastes like weed even more lol.:yummy:

Took newtys advice and put the leftovers in boiling water.. thanks newty mmmm!:high-five:

Don't worry, if you are like I was back in the day, you will drive REAL slow anyway.
