Imtoasted's Journey Of Perpetual Bliss

Nice like seeing how deep a snow drift is... awesome joe great advice.. thank you guys so much! i feel much more confident about this and im gonna give it a go. Im busy today and im not sure if ill have money for the saw depending on how much something like that costs. The collar cant be too much i hope. Im excited hopefully it will disperse the heat and my tent cools down about five degrees. I need it to be able to go under 80 when they flower. 82-84 is unacceptable and i decided i dont wanna mess with co2 as i wouldnt want to turn that exhaust fan off ever lol. Gotta remember to get another air conditioner filter to put on the end of the ducting that will be in the attic.. who knows what would crawl in there. They would have to get past the air movement and the spinning fan blades though lol

Yea i remember yours hermied on you bignugz, thanks for the warning. I wont do any changes after i flip them. Thats good the ib takes a beating.. my phenotype seems to be hella bushy so shes gonna get it here soon.

Sweet i was thinking of doing that so.. how else would i know where to clear out the insulation from lol. You guys are giving such great descriptions though! Ill have to remember that and pack it back around and keep the ducting above it. Now i just wanna get it done!

Just take a big bread knife with a serrated edge. Will do the same thing. Even a steak knife from your closest restaurant will do. Can't believe I made that suggestion. .

So ive been looking at lights and i like the looks of this perfect sun dwarf star.. it has twice the red spectrum intensity rating as the viparspectra 600w. Costs about $250 more however. But uses less watts 230-260 it says while the viparspectra uses 270. I could buy the viparspectra in two weeks or wait an extra two weeks and buy the dwarf star. Also im thinking the dwarf star would be good enough by itself in the tent but i could add the 300w viparspectra if i think it needed it and the heat doesnt get to be too much. Plus its American made and that is very appealing and the guy who makes the light is an awesome dude.

Buy the Perfect Sun. It is the spectrum and penetration that just sets it apart. Wait it will be worth it. You did great with the lights you have. One month you will have it just in time for flower. Doesn't matter if it uses less power it would probably beat the 900 Viparspectra. My next lights will be Perfect Sun. Also he does a ton for the community would like to give my money to the guy I follow his method. He just didn't have any of the Cob units when I went to buy.

Shit i didnt make the connection earlier that the neil dude who is growpotcheaply on youtube and who is ledrf on here makes those lights.. that is really awesome!! I just watched like 3 hours of his vids.. obviously got tons of great knowledge there as well as a tip on how to get rid of hiccups haha. I think i will definitely get it.. he has an even smaller, perfect sun mini too but i think the dwarf star will be perfect by itself in my tent with two plants. Its gonna be worth the extra money.

Get them from Walmart. Culligan usually has a stand there if in Canada. Just dump out the shitty water in there and go fill at a reputable RO station. Love using RO makes it super simple to be consistent. Always the same ph and under 15ppm. I just measure my ph adjuster in ml and it tests within 1 point every time. Actually knew my ph pen needed calibration because of it.

I have an RO unit. it produces 0ppm, I maintain it every 6months via bleach and carbon, DI (2 stages) and prefilter changes, every year the RO membranes are changed.

I will add that my wife's lab tested several batches of the local wal-mart brand "drinking water" (not spring) and found it to be lower ppb ranges than what they were buying for their lab....it may vary from region to region, but the stuff in our market is as clean as it gets.

It was some of the distilled, ozonated and RODI.

Apparently its day 42 of veg.. i cant wait to be able to start my plants out with a better light. They are both now seeing good inner growth, probably due to the better lights. I rotate them every day so one doesnt stay under the mars too long lol. Going to start training them tonight since i just watered today. Was gonna try ponytailing before i lst but i think ill skip it. It seems too late, i need to start training them before they get too big.

Now is the time, spread them out, open them up and top, top, top, in a couple more weeks they will look like this with lots of bud sites reaching up!:thumb:

What is used to secure the wood used there to the pole looks fairly easy to do I need to get one built. For my fall grow that would be awesome if you can tell me what you used to fasten hold the wood in place thanks. Beautiful nice dark green

It was a on the cheap scrog...in my case it cost me $14.00 and 45 minutes to make... 1 pound box of 1" construction screws, 4 cheapo 6"x8" shelf brackets in the corners, a 250 yard spool of nylon bricklayer string, (4) 2"x2" furring strips and (1) 1"x2" furring strip from my local big box home improvement center.

My room is homemade and is 60" x 10' with a 4x4 veg tent using the other half and a 1' or so between to walk into and attend to it. I used the 1"x2" as a stop to set the finished scrog on at 10" above the top of my pots/buckets so add the 1 1/2" of the 2"x2"'s and the height at the top of the screen is 11 1/2".

If you are using a tent, just measure the space you have between your corner posts and make it that size, use a couple zip ties on each corner to secure and instant scrog...you might have to remove the plants/lights before you put in a tent, you might have to do the 45 degree or more thing to clear the opening as I had to raise my lights all the way up to get in my room as a completed unit.

The cheap shelf brackets are the same width as the 2"x2" (1 1/2"), and the screws to hold the string are 3" apart on all sides from the opening...weaving the string took the longest...you want to make it as tight as you can and wrap it twice around each screw while keeping consent pull...over/under each string to get a strong weave.

So far very effective and probably the cheapest thing I have done on this grow!:smokin:

Awesome info old timer.. nothing better then a cheap build that will get the job done like anything else. Well explained too.. the furring strips are the wooden pieces right? Good stuff man!

So i lsted them i think this time i will train out each individual branch as much as i can to keep the plant short.. once they branch out a little more. The new tops on the ib are growing new tops out of their first nodes already lol.
I really bent the vk over cause she is taller, shes on the right.
