Icemud's Organic SCROG! Grow 3.0

I'm having the same problem with my plants leaves yellowing...I'm also doing hi-brix and I'm also using myco madness...I've fed my plants a crapload of nitrogen to offset the problem to no avail....I think the microbes are eating all the nitrogen??? So I've stopped the myco

Do you have a journal going? How far along in flowering are you? Yeah I'm really not too sure if its the normal yellowing that happens around this time of flowering, or if its lack of N in soil or what..?? I know I have a lot of azabactar bacteria in my soil which is N fixing so I didn't think I would have a problem, but the coloration change started when I did a re-mineralization of my soil.. I have already done it 3x previously so I might have raised the EC levels too high with all the CaCo3 in the soil... I am hoping that with the teas and light N fish fert I have been adding that they will get better. I usually defoliate around this time anyways, so a little natural defoliation I guess wont hurt.. :)

I'm actually in 7th week of veg outdoors and I recently transplanted from 3.5 gallon pots to 7... Thinking that they may be root-bound because of the myco... So I inspected the roots... there are alot of roots but were'nt rootbound... So I've stopped the myco for a while to figure out what's going on... I hit it with a large amount of bat guano intentionally trying to burn my plants but no burn occured which leads me to think that the microbes are eating like crazy... I might of over done it with the myco? Unfortunately I dont have a grow journal as this is my first grow and didn't want to document a failure... Hope this information helps

I also top-dress soil with azomite and chicken manure every 2 weeks or so

Hey bro,

I think you're on to something there. I think I've used too much tea before, and in smaller containers the soil was just getting gobbled up. Once they die, the nutrients are released, so you can rebuild the soil pretty easily, but I've made some adjustments to the tea strength.

Re: Icemud's indoor organic's, V-Scrog, dual spectrum lighting

Hi mate,
Damn.. You must have bought stocks in plant fertilisers! lol.. I use basically some similar nutes and soils, but i havent got many liquid N,P or K solutions, mine are all like a powders i mix in, is there much difference? And also is it true to not use large amounts of bat guano in ur soil, and ive heard some bird guano's may contain traces of ammonia.. but theyre dodgy ones. Perlite is good to mix in, i just use a basic potting mix, sum sand, a little cal mag, pea straw mulch and my girls like that alot.. Dont go overboard, just put together what you feel is adequate, and just keep track of the nutrients you are feeding her, the trace elements are good to kno also, i had a bit to learn bout nutes and still learning to diagnose plant probs by looking as i had few nute isues here and there but a flush usually saved the day! Anyway hope all goes well, Goodluk and Happy Harvesting;)

Here is my updated grow video everyone... This is my 1st attempt in using magix, I am an audio engineer but video very new to me so bare with it.. I shot it in HD on my cameraphone 1080, but for some reason when I converted it, it only allowed 720 and youtube only took it in at 480... if anyone could help with that I would appreciate it... anyways..enjoy!

I also have a feeling this is whats happening, ever since late veg, every time I used a full or 1/2 amount of Earthjuice in my tea's (full line) my plants usually a few days later were really shiny. Especially with these smartpots, I am sure the roots have sucked a lot of the nutrients out of the soil. I am going to give them another good feeding next watering with approx a 3-5-4 ratio from the ingredients I mixed in so we will see how they react. Thanks everyone for the help as now in the flowering I think I am going to alternate my feedings and do a tea feeding every other, and hit em with the earthjuice on the other feedings.

Here is the photo's for today...Enjoy...Don't forget to check out the video above either :)

Looking really nice. Great video. I have been thinking about high brix and that I may be doing it inadvertently thanks to Foxfarm... but I don't know for sure and I am not a big tester unless it is in my bong :cheesygrinsmiley: This is what I am thinking, during my current grow I am trying to square S Girl so I have started plants from seed, girls so far, 12/12 in Foxfarms Ocean Forest. I now know this mix to be "hot" so I did not give any nutes ... at all. It has been right on the edge and maybe still a bit too much nitrogen but it has taken it pretty well I still think she will suffer lockouts at the end ... do you find this happens with your mix?

Thanks everyone for the awesome comments and kudos!!! Much appreciated !!

Also, don't forget to vote in this month's contests and to check out my youtube videos!! Cheers!

Hey Buckshot... yeah the bong seems to be the ultimate test tool :) lol I know each time I get a new strain from the dispensaries, a small "snap" loaded into my bong will tell me a lot about the high :) Testing Brix levels with a refractometer is a very good way that while the plant is growing you can determine if you are feeding things the plant likes or not. High brix is all about soil health, balance and mineralization with special foliar sprays to boost the production. As far as nutrients running low mid to late grow, its hard to say because there are a lot of variables at stake with this grow... 4 of 5 of my strains currently are showing no forms of stress however my silverback og is showing much ligher shades of green and yellow, does this mean the nutrients are used up..?? probably because most guano's are only good for 1-3 months and right now is about the time to restructure the soil... Its really hard to say though at this point because it is only my 3rd grow and a lot of things have been changed between each grow, so too many variables to see a consistant pattern yet...

How much longer till you harvest?

It will be quite a while.. I am only on day 25 flowering and so at least another 1.5 months for the sour bubble, blackberry kush and platinum bubba's. OG's usually take longer and so I probably will run them close to 100 days...

Nice Ice...Deadly lookin grow there mate!! Im really tempted to start a scrog.. Have seen sum awsum grows ay. Good luk and Happy Harvesting;) My last girl..
