Ice, how long to you typically let your plants veg for?

I am debating about doing four plants with a four week veg, or one plant with a 10+ week veg that is mainlined/flux/manifold.

Not sure which to do next.

Well there isn't really a typical but I would say on average about 2 months (from clone rooted and placed into 2 gallon buckets)

Mostly what determines my veg time is my flowering tent availability so typically about the same flowering time is how long I veg (60-75 days avg) but sometimes I don't time the cycles right, or other things throw off my timing like LED testing and such so I don't have a "set time frame" i guess.

I've actually debated whether or not vegging them 2 months as opposed to 1 month veg and flowering smaller plants...but haven't actually tried it out yet... I think I actually am hindering my yield by having 6 very large plants in a very small grow area which limits the amount of light that can reflect off the tent and illuminate under the canopy... after I saw Curso's 1 huge plant in his 4x4 tent and his yield... I think I may try reducing the amount of plants I flower, but increasing the pot size to see which provides for a better yield..

I think that I may actually get a much better yield reducing my plant count to just 1-3 plants vs 6 in my setup..but still haven't run my cycle this way so the results in comparison to my other method are yet to be determined...

Once I decide on a few strains whether I keep them this cycle and next...then most likely I will be doing the less plants method because I really feel I could up the Gram/watt of my grows on average by doing this...

Very good question but unfortunately I haven't experimented enough in this area to know how to answer you with fact on this... maybe some others could chime in with suggestions... I actually would love to see what everyones replies are as well as I too am curious what would be the best way to max out my grow for yield... and I think the fewer plants, llarger pot might be the key

Still figuring out how to get superior yields in small grows indoor. Growing outdoor vs small Indoor is far more different then I anticipated.

I may just go for the long veg, and give mainlining a shot. I have seen really good results with that style of LST'ing.

Probably another 20 days or so.. usually I wait until around day 60 of flowering but some strains have gone as long as 80-100 days... I will start checking trichomes around day 60 and my goal usually is about 15% amber.

You're in for a nice haul there. Wow I'm at day 59 and have been checking trichomes for the last week. All my girls are at different stages but one is way top heavy and 90% cloudy and really lookin ready to harvest. She's doing the bud flop, I should have put some bamboo in the pots to hold them up...prolly too late now. No worries.
Your grow is going greaaaat man wow ... nice.

I love the XTE's! So far I think that what I am seeing is much better than any other LED's I have used, but again its hard to say without the final harvest, but based on plant health, bud density, looks, trichome formation, I have to say so far the XTE definitely are showing why advanced LED has been around for quite a few years... they rock!

Your very welcome. As you probably have seen me say now hundreds of times in my journal I am very happy with the Advanced LED lights, as well as everyone that I have come across that uses them. I think you will be happy. Which ones did you go with?

Well folks....today would make day 47 of flowering and things are still moving along really good.

I noticed about a week ago that the leaves were curling downwards and that could be usually a sign of overwatering or too much N, so I have pretty much limited my watering to about 1 cup per day and drastically reduced the amount of N that I am giving the plants and they have seem to start perking up again. The last 3 days of feedings were a very very light dose of Dogget Simpson nutrients and water with no other additives. Today I am mixing up a compost tea that will last about 3 days and then I will go plain water for the following 3 to start letting them use up what is in the soil as they get closer to the finish line... I am estiimating still another 2-3 weeks for most of the strains, but will start checking trichomes in about a week to see where we are at.

You know I've been thinking about that sleep pattern. I think I would rather sleep five hours at night then take 2 little naps in between, it feels more natural and I feel better but I could just be getting old.
