Dude, you are going to love those COB's!! they rock!! I love the modular design too so you can add GOD modules for a extra hint of blue/purple too... (this will be my next test).

Glad your diggin the grow :) I can't wait to try these nugs :) not going to rush it this time and really hope to max out those amber trichomes (at least 20% or so) and then harvest :) need some new strains to smoke too... tangie is amazing, but also I need my heavy indica too :)

Icemud if you were to only keep one of these for flowering wich would it be the all white cob or the other? I'm in the market for a better and higher end led and cob specifically. Your journals have been a big help in many areas for me and my garden.. Thank you!

Thats a great question! sort of tough to choose. I'm impressed with both COB and "blurple" lighting (red/white/blue). Ideally I think that my choice would be mostly COB, but I would have added red and blue in their as well. I would say probably 3/4 of the lights would be cob, 1/4 would be "blurple" would be my ideal situation. I think that the COBs really are similar to HPS in terms of yield and bulk, but something about the added 660nm red, seems to really bring out the trichomes... I think it would have to be a mix for "ideal" in my opinion but I still am sort of deciding that for myself as well. After I finish this next COB grow flowering, I will be removing 2 modules from each light so I can make 1/2 COB, 1/2 OSRAM panels, which I think may be ideal, but still up in the air.

Both by themselves have worked wonders, so its really a hard choice, but I do thing a more full spectrum COB is the best option with "enhanced red/blue".

Also I know BM are bringing out a horti cob soon and that should be the perfect balance with some red and blue etc :)

Today is the day!!!

Harvest time in the GOD tent :)


Well after checking all the trichomes and looking at the bud formations it seemed that its time to take these ladies down :) Last night I chopped all the plants and they are currently hanging to dry.. should be about 1 week before I trim them up and then jar them for curing as well as I will take measurements on weight and g/watt to see how they GOD's did.

My current impression is, I'm very impressed..LOL The buds were all extremely dense, and frosty and they smell unbelievably stinky so all good signs in my book. The buds were smaller than many of my other grows, but for using only 340W I think they produced extremely well.

Millertm.....I think Ice said he got those results with 340w. Even more remarkable he didn't need 1kw to do it.

Thanks Millertm!!! I am definitely happy that this grow turned out great and about 2 weeks from now I will sample the goods :) btw the grow only had 340w total (170w x 2) :) Thanks for the compliments :)

I was debating on waiting another week or so, but the trichomes were all cloudy and some amber which is perfect for me so I decided it was time :) Really excited to try these new strains as they smell amazing :) I love the colors too :) that purple pheno of tangie is beautiful :)

I'm definitely loving the fact my electric bill is much cheaper than it used to be with the 1000w hid running :) impressive to see how such little amount of watts produced very nicely :) can't wait to see how this grow rates on the gram/watt :)
