I need a good super soil recipe

Everything came in. I have another question , If I mix the coots stuff up and store it in my garage until the middle or end of March will it and the Oly mix be OK? I live in Ohio so it gets cold through the winter. Will that hurt the soil or do I have to store it in the house due to the cold ?
It should be fine unless you're talking it being so cold the bags turn to permafrost blocks.
I think I would go ahead and fill the 20 gallon bags and start a cover crop put the worms in and grow soil for a few months.
That way when it comes time to plant you're ready to go and the worms have already added a nice thick layer of Unicorn Poop.

It Looks like there are different products to use with the Brix system kind of like Fox Farm Big Bloom or Grow Big etc. so is it a living soil you use additives with or what and how do you measure the Brix ? what is a Brix Refractometer ? how does it measure ? I'm not sure I really understand what it is I have looked through post on High Brix method and read stuff on their web site it looks like you just use their products am I missing something:goof:
Pretty much all of these things listed in this article are exactly what you do in the average Living Organic Soil grow anyway.

Thank You for the link. I was thinking about filling the 20gal. pots and put the worms in them and plant the clover so because you suggested it that's what I will do, will the worms do ok over the winter in fabric pots out in the garage ? Also should I add a little Gro Kashi in the soil or just top dress with that and a compost tea ?

My recipe is 1 big bag greenhouse quality potting soil, with no added nutes!, just good sterilized soil. Then 2.5 pounds of worm castings, 1/3 the volume of added perlite, 1/8 cup bloodmeal, 1/8 cup bonemeal and a sprinkle of Epsom salts. Mixed really well in a rubbermaid tote. This last batch I also added mushroom compost. It's all inexpensive and the bone and blood meal bags will last you a long time. So will the salts unless you have spondylitis like me and then they also go in the bathwater. lol Later on when I fertilize I'll add myco and molasses mix from Dr. Earth, get it living. If you let these mixes set about a month to make sure they aren't too 'hot' it's a lot safer. I burned a hash plant with a too hot mix, it grew crazy and did try but never recovered. I'd show you a pic but it's horrifying.

Little sprinkle in the soil wouldn't hurt.
Can you hang a HPS light in the garage?
That would keep the soil and worms warm and cover crop growing.
Then start the plants around January and transfer outside depending on weather.
I don't have a HPS light I will get the stuff for a tent after I recover from all the other stuff I bought Lol. I do have a heat light I can try to keep over the pots it may keep them from freezing along with the clover cover crop.

Thank You that sounds like an easy soil to make up

When you run a proper living organic soil your Brix should be pretty decent anyway.
Mine seems to stay between 10 to 12 on my brix refractometer.
Not super high, but not bad either.
And I do nothing to try to specifically raise my brix.
I figured it out. I found a couple more articles on High Brix so I understand it a little better now. Is the High Brix products sold on the Am azon any good ? would it be worth buying a refractometer down the road ?

Here's the one I bought.
I've never checked out the high brix system so not exactly sure what's in it.

If its anything synthetic or salt based then I'd say dont use it in a Living Organic Soil.
All you really need is coconut water, aloe vera, some organic corn and alfalfa seeds for sprouted seed teas , yucca extract, mycorrhazae inoculate, Gro-kashi, big 6 micronutrients + humid acid, Optiveg for Chitin, buildabloom, and a bag of Craftblend amendment.

I thought you were using the Oly Mountain mix ? The only thing you mentioned that I have is the Gro Kashi , alfalfa Meal , Mykos , and Humic acid , I would have to buy the other stuff is Amazon ok to find the rest of what you mentioned ? I just put the Oly mix in a fabric pot and added the worms and put the clover seed on top and spread it out so now my worms wont die and I hope to have some cover crop come March weather permitting. Do you add the Craft Blend as a top dressing for the Oly Mix ?

I am using the Oly Mountain modern mix 2.
Not sure what that has to do with amendments, all living soils needs some amendments.
"Alfalfa meal" is not the same as organic alfalfa seeds, sprouting the seeds adds a lot of enzymes and Triacontanol.
I would buy it from buildasoil during their black Friday sale since you dont really need it for like 6 months.

I also used Subcool’s recipe. Take a look at my grow journal to see pics of 4 plants in greenhouse. Be prepared for a laugh...it’s an out of control jungle in there lol. Still working out the bugs and learning how to supercrop It’s been a steep learning curve on the grow side....they are massive.
Highly recommend this recipe for soil. I’ve used nothing but water on the bag plants and the plants in ground have sourced there own.

From page one.

I figured out what else I need and ordered it so now I will have the Oly Mountain Mix , Coots Mix , Subcools super soil , and the High Brix system so I should be set Just got to order more EWC they are on sale right now on Amazon :rollit:

I put the Oly mix in a 15 gal. pot and put some clover cover on it and the Fox Farm mix of Ocean Forest and Happy Frog the Clover is covering the Oly mix Thick the clover in the FFmix is covering but not thick all over like the Oly mix . Oly for the win :goof:
