I know it's been awhile, so here's a
HYENA'S GROW HOUSE update!
Actually it was Wednesday that I went up to the GH to do the Lord's work once more, I have just been really really busy so I have neglected to post it but things are getting interesting once more!
Starting with the youngsters in Tent #2...
This canopy is already too big I think, it grows so fast I realized it is past time to flip them to 12/12. Done.
Otherwise, these clones of clones are amazing, almost like automatic weed. Add water and watch. The beauty of having just one plant in essence is the purest form of indoor growing. Everything perfect always. No differences in phenotypes, or nute sensitivity, or height, or anything. It's literally one big plant.
So nine weeks until a room of fat buds. I know because it looks like nine weeks will be the number for the Tent #1 girls...
They are swelling like there's no tomorrow. I cut samples and looked them over under the microscope and all clear trichs still which means I can give this two more weeks no problem, which would make it nine weeks total flowering time when I chop. Almost twice the yield and nine week finish, hard to go back to 12 week-in-flower Sativas when you have strains that do that.
This entire tent runs on one 55-gallon reservoir...with this large biomass and Summer temps of low 80s in the tent, there is only about 10-15 gallons max left in the barrel when I arrive. That means they only get a true fill up for 3-4 days then gradually have to settle for less and less. Doesn't seem to hurt anything by the look of the buds! But the PH spikes to over 7 when the res gets that low.
The PPM also gets above 2500. But all these things are okay once the newly filled and balanced res fills everyone up again. So my theory that a range of PH over a week's time allows for fuller-spectrum absorption of nutrient elements seems to hold. At least it doesn't seem to hurt.
So we are reaching the point where the nug shots are getting really amazing. Here are some to enjoy...
Hope you enjoy those...I will do a totally amazing set of final portraits as usual in about two weeks. Right before I go officially insane having to trim up another, even bigger roomful of budz. I have the chop day scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th. Hell day. All alone, with a two-inch pair of scissors, one man against 12 huge plants. It's a bitch. Without even a dog to keep me company. But I have learned that dogs may be loyal and all that, but you can't completely trust them...
Guard your stash. Until next time.
Peace, Hyena
