Hutch's Perpetual Grow Journal

I hope you and yours have the best Christmas ever, Hutch!

Hello everyone, the AK-48 and Lambs Breath are in the jars!

Things went badly in the drying tent. I had a small fan blowing on the floor of the tent but not on the buds and a little usb fan in the roof for a little exhaust. Well, I guess I didn't need the floor fan. Buds were bone dry after three days and looked like the terps were gone. I did notice the humidity in the tent had dropped but assumed that was due to the ambient humidity dropping.

I had enough hygrometers and after 24 hours 3 jars were around 60%, three were low 50's and two mid 50's. I put Bovedas in the 50's and by today they are all up to the low 60's so it looks like we saved the crop. I was afraid I'd lost those terps for good in a few of the jars but all is well.

Not sure if it was the Bovedas, maybe it was just the moisture deep in the bud coming out but I ditched the Bovedas as soon as I could. I can't stand the smell and the difference between those that had them and those that didn't was very apparent when you opened the jars. Still, I think they are a valuable tool. BTW, Bovedas seem to retain themselves pretty well sealed tight in Mason jars.

So the final (very) dry weights are:
  • Lambs Breath: 59.0 grams
  • AK-48: 103.6 grams
That would be 5 3/4 ounces of very nice sativa dominant bud!

My previous two Lambs Breath yields were 31grams and 40grams respectively so this grow was a 50% improvement! I attribute this mainly to the new lighting from @Budget LED and of course Megacrop. It's hard to judge how much the Megacrop helped but it eliminates mixing mistakes lockouts etc. that are hard to quantify.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone.

Big shout out to @HutchBenedict for the awesome grow journal. Love the pics and updates. I hope you are loving the light.

Everyone have a safe and prosperous holidays with your family. If you need anything from us, please tag us and someone will hop on and help out.
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Your light really made this fall/winter grow a lot of fun and way less frustrating. Hope you'll stick around in the new year!

The White Widow Autoflower was started earlier and I've tried to keep it somewhat even with the main attractions but it has been a challenge - mostly for the WW. For the first time I'm trying supercropping. It took courage, especially when I realized I'd really have to apply some pressure!

I tried yesterday and it bounced back but i think I was a little more gentle.
