AK-48 Autoflower Day 43/75 - 36.5" tall - 48,000 lux - 9.5" from light (Feed: 7g/gn MC, 8L water)

I was expecting this cola to have become more /\-shaped by now but it still has a week or two to fatten up.

White Widow Autoflower - Day 19 - 4.5" tall - 22,500 lux - 20" from light

I will be letting this White Widow grow out without topping or training. This is my fourth WW but I have always trained previously. It will be sharing the tent with two quadlined photoperiods and the CPK which will also be grown straight up. Light management should be fun!

Environment: 26c/54rh

The big news in Hutchworld, we have clone roots!

ch3Day 11-3.JPG

She's the only one with roots so far. Also one of the clones is shriveling up to probably die. But all we need is one viable clone to keep the Chocolate Haze going.

Here's the group photo. The clone with roots is the one with the blue tag, it is noticeably paler then the rest. The clone that is apparently dying is CH4 front right.

The clones ...

ch4Day 12.JPG

Still only the one cutting, ch3, with visible roots while ch4 continues to shrivel up. Fed both their first feeding of 2g/gn Megacrop, 24ml and 10ml respectively.

The rest of the clones seem to be chugging along. I think ch1 and ch2 will show roots in the next couple of days.

Thanks for dropping by!

clones...

ch3Day 13-1.JPG
ch3Day 13-2.JPG

Our Chocolate Haze clone continues to grow. It greened-up a little from its little MC feeding. Could use some more nutrients but we'll wait until it dries out a bit.

ch4Day 13.JPG

This little clone is still shriveled. The MC we fed her yesterday has had no apparent effect and I have no idea how to save her. Now we have two more that are starting to shrink:

AK-48 Autoflower Day 47/79 - 37.5" tall - 45,000 lux - 9" from light

We have been planning to chop this AK-48 on December 15th from the very beginning so it looks like our timing is right on. I'm not really good with the jeweler's loop as the trichomes always look cloudy to me but I couldn't see any amber. Nirvana Seeds says seed to harvest in 11 to 13 weeks and we are now into day 2 of week 12. I will be checking daily now as I want to cut at first sign of amber. I prefer a heady stone to couch lock.

White Widow Autoflower - Day 23 - 7.25" tall - 25,000 lux - 17.5" from light

Topped the WW yesterday removing the 7th node. I was going to let this one grow straight up but I don't want it growing into the lights. It's only in a two-gallon so it should stay fairly small anyway.

Veg tent...

Yesterday we re-potted the Phantom Cookies Domina and the Chocolate Haze. Here is the PCD after re-potting.
Day 49-3.JPG

Then we gave her a haircut and tied her down a bit.
Day 49-5.JPG

This morning she seems to have recovered just fine. Just doesn't seem possible that she could grow this much overnight.

Here are the pictures of the process with the Chocolate Haze though this time I managed to get the roots.

The Clones...

Chocolate Haze Clone #3 Day 15 - 3" tall - 10,000 lux - 28" from light

While I am more than happy that this clone has survived, rooted and started to grow, I am disappointed with my results. True, none of the eight have died yet, but the first batch is 15 days old now and I would have expected roots by now with the other three. The PCD clones are ten days old so roots should be showing by now although the clone above that rooted should its roots on day 11.

This little gal is barely on life support.

Chocolate Haze Clone #4 Day 15 - 1" tall - 9,000 lux - 28" from light

I will probably be taking more clones in a week or so when we give the CH and PCD their final haircuts before the flip. If things haven't improved we may invest in proper cloning products such as cloning gel, rockwool cubes and fluorescent light. I don't really believe they are strictly necessary but I would really like to understand why one worked and the others didn't.

Thanks for dropping by!

Better cloning in Promix HP in a solo cup with single cob light 28" above. Megacrop nutrients are at 2grams/gallon. With no cloning gel or powder:
  • start with larger cuttings
  • cuttings from the bottom root quicker
  • remove most of the leaves
  • trim tips of remaining leaves
  • plant in unmoistened soil
  • add about 10ml water at base of stem
  • mist frequently first couple of days
  • cover with solid dome
  • mist at least twice a day, every day
  • use vented dome after a couple of days
  • around the fifth day add another 10ml water around the edges
  • around the eighth day a little more water with Megacrop
  • harden off around day 10
  • be patient, 2 weeks or longer are not unknown
My cuttings were too short, too many leaves were left on top, soil was too damp, I didn't mist enough (why they shriveled), dome off too much too early (also why they shriveled), inconsistent feeding, improper watering (still damp), improper hardening off and way too impatient.

CH3 kind of stands out in the crowd! After 16 days for the CH clones and 11 days for the PCD's they are all still alive

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hey Hutch. Your autos are all looking great you’re in for a terrific harvest there.
Your clones are cool. Just gotta be patient and let them chug along. Leaves are supposed to look like crap when they get all used up so shrivelling is allowed. I’ve had some take 6 weeks. I’ve put dead looking ones to one side for binning, then forgotten about them only to find they bounce back. Never say never. :)

Thanks! That gives me hope. My problem is watching the pot so to speak. I'm just boiling with impatience!
