How to Make Feminized Seeds With Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro LED

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Sorry for the distraction but I am only the messenger/grower and not the namer of the strain.

BTW she is in the colloidal silver experiment I am running.

No worries bro! I've seen much worse. Nobodies in trouble.

I got a few female subscribers here also tho. Lets not forget that.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I harvested some non feminized seeds over the weekend. The plant will be harvested this week.

She is a ruderallis and is crossed with a Afghan Kush from White label seed co.

How long do I need to let the seeds wait until planting? I want to see if the auto traits are present.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Seems to be at least 30 days at room temp.

That cross sounds awesome. Good luck with that!

Getting it to full autoflower takes many generations of breeding.

Grow them out in a 18/6 light schedule, and rebreed the one's that flower.

Looks awesome dude. Is that part of your feminized seed colloidal silver project?

Here's a photo of one of my next generation of Pink Salad. Supercropped, and looking good.

What I should have mentioned when I did it was I've used this plant for a Colloidal Silver experiment.

I spent a long time researching Colloidal Silver seed feminizing before ever attempting it.

I swear I've must have read every line in every post I could find about Colloidal Silver.

One thing I've read more a few times was some people who tried Colloidal Silver feminizing,

But decided to give up on they're Colloidal Silver project after only a few days of spraying.

It was never the author of the journal, but just regular growers making a one line comment.

They said they got pollen sacs anyway on plants that were sprayed only a few days.

It was pretty easy to dismiss this idea, because I'd never seen photos of those results,

And the author of every Colloidal Silver journal I've read sprays for weeks like I do.

But the ideas stuck with me. Mostly because I've seen the occasional comment more then once.

Well I decided to try it on this plant a few weeks ago. I guess I should have announced it then.

But I never thought it would work, but after only three days spraying a few buds with 60 PPM CS,

And waiting a little over two weeks I've got pollen sacs!!

I'm clipping these sac filled buds tonight, because I don't want to contaminate my Buddha's Cross.

The next auto up for a seed run I'll try this again. The next run up I've got lots of great looking seeds.

I should have a lot of females to work with. I'll spray one like I've been doing, and another like this one.

See if I can do this again, and if the results are consistent. It could be a real Colloidal Silver breakthrough.

Here's the two buds I clipped.

I'm sad to cut them from my plant, but I did it in the name of Colloidal Silver science!

My nanners look like they are popping out of the female calyx. Finally getting new growth from over CS'ing my female.

That is awesome . That will be my next experiment. Just spray a couple of branches for a few days. Thank you for your dedication to propagation. You are very helpful toker and your plants look amazing.

This is BADASS!!! very cool potential breakthrough!

I put 10 of my Fem seed cross..Berry AK...into paper towels and one popped last night. i hope more will so i can get some CS spraying of my own going again.

I will be trying this too to help test/ retest the idea. talk about a big time saver and material/money saver as well!!!

Im impressed even if it only works this time LOL!!!

Well maybe I have sprayed too much.

Sprayed the whole plant the first day then tried to only hit the nodes after that. I have been spraying for a week now.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Are they in flower yet? Spray only once a day, and make sure you just hit the leaves only once.

After that before buds form hit just nodes on the stem. When buds show hit buds, and nodes daily.

I give them the tiniest spritz by coming in close, and not depressing the spray trigger fully.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I didn't spray yesterday. I normally spray at the end of their day of light.

Since they are so young there are still leaf tips at the nodes.

Hope they are still OK. I do have more Golden Goat that I can use also.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Well I'm just worried about your leaves, and plant health.

Let the leaves grow a bit before you hit them.

But mostly it's about nodes, and buds tho.

You need the leaves healthy to help produce buds, and sacs.

The overspraying of your plants only seems to delay sacs forming.

We all have a tendency to overdo things, and think more is better.

We make those type of mistakes with nutes, light distance, and etc.

i couldnt agree more with this. on my first project with the CS i oversprayed no doubt about that. i was SPRAYING THE PLANT, not SPRITZING like i think is a much better way to think about it... especially if there is a chance that a few day spray then set and forget can produce sacs!! then we know Less can Definitely be more here for sure!!

just a light spray or spritz...:):peace:

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Yeah it could be totally possible that we don't need to spray the leaves at all.

I just spray the whole plant once because that's what I've seen others do.

In fact it could be possible we don't need to spray nodes at all too.

I'm going to try just spraying one, or two young buds for a few days, and see what happens.

Maybe I'll give my new baby HBD a try just to switch strains, and see how it goes.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Then maybe a more mature plant that has no new growth at the nodes would also be a good requirement.

I will hold off on spraying anymore as it seems that there might be enough CS in their system already.
