How to Make Feminized Seeds With Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro LED

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

At one time I was thinking about it but I really don't have the space to safely quarantine plants with pollen from the plants in the Veg & Bloom Tents. My bedroom is the only room in our apt. my daughter & her little friends are not allowed so that's the only room I'll grow in.

I grew that Pink Salad in the same space as the Carmel 5, and the Pink Salad has been almost seedless. (5 seeds)

And the C5 had over 350 seeds! It's cuz of that nanner pollen. It's not as viable as the powdery type.

Any comments out there about my pollen isolation plan?

Is the bag over the bud theory safe?

My golden goat/golden goat and holy grail/holy grail will be totally isolated.

My crosses will not be so safe but working on a better system. Might just need more clones which I have available. Yes, this is what I need to do. Little male and females in the same closet grow. I could still do one plant in the greenhouse.

Looks like I have about 3 weeks until the pollen is ready for harvesting.

And the greenhouse.

Nanner pollen??? Is that a term applied to feminizing?

Good question Mr. Green.

Good question Mr. Green.

Wow someone finally noticed I keep talking about nanner pollen.

Yeah nanner pollen is different guys. Harvest a few plants full of nanners Vs male sacs

And you'll know what I'm talking about. Male sacs have dusty pollen.

Nanners have clumpy pollen. It don't go as far as male pollen does.

The only thing is females can get dusty type pollen sacs also.

It's only happened once so far for me tho. Well twice at once.

Two of my pink salad I was spraying got dusty pollen sacs that I harvested.

They were kicking out the dust in a mad rush.

I only kept it going five days, and I harvested 10 packs of pure yellow dust.

And pollinated four other girls. That's what I mean by nanner pollen.

I've never seen any chat online about this, but did chat with BID from time to time about it.

Sorry but these older photos were taken with a different camera.

Also I may not see any chatter online about the difference between nanners, and sacs.

But I do see indications in CS journals, and regular grow journals that hint at what type their dealing with.

Like how some Colloidal Silver users grind nanners to extract pollen. Male type sacs never need grinding.

The dust drops freely, and even becomes airborne. Nanners don't seem to go airborne to me. (maybe a little)

Nanners kinda drop like rotten bananas. Does more like a plop then a poof of dust.

Nanners work great with my method of dropping whole ripe nanners on top of your buds.

Now when I get nanners I know I'll be layering them on top of the buds for 10 plus days.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

I guess to conclude my Colloidal Silver theory I'll state that Colloidal Silver is known to inhibit a female flowering hormone in cannabis and so the result is that male flowering hormones dominate and male type flowers are produced, but nanners are produced by stress, and when nanners are produced by Colloidal Silver it's not because of the blocking of that female hormone, but the stress that you've caused the plant that produces the resulting nanners. That's why low CS PPM's, work over long spraying periods, or over spaying can still bring on nanners. You've basically turned your Colloidal Silver into a feminizing stress technique like flashing lights, or heat stress.

Well I do all pollinations at least 30 days apart myself.

I know it keeps the pollen pure that way. So no I don't really advise it myself.

People have generally diverged from my way of doing that tho. Good luck!! :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

These Colloidal Silver theories I've expressed are only based on my personal observations, and they may, or may not be correct. idk But they should not affect anyones Colloidal Silver seed run, because basically I'm saying Colloidal Silver one way, or another will work for you. :)

But in the spirit of open discussion when performing your own Colloidal Silver feminizing seed run I'm suggesting you think about what I've said, and wait to formulate an opinion until after you have some Colloidal Silver feminized seed making experience.

I'd like to hear from you then, and CS generator growers are kinda outta this discussion because of the low PPM CS, or high PPM, but contaminated Colloidal Silver. Both types in my opinion will only achieve a stress induced result.

Buy a high PPM Colloidal Silver, mix it down to 60 PPM, and do a whole plant spraying. This is the formula that achieved my best result. (when I say whole plant I mean don't do a one plant self pollination.)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

About one minute into this video you will see real male pollen. (The dusty kind.)

We don't have much experience really with nanners, or banana's.

As a community it's generally shunned, and even demonized. lol (the evil nanner)

But you don't knock dust off a nanner. Not like you see in this video anyway. :peace:

Also notice the paint brush moving through the little flowers.

Nanners are stiffer, and only light husks after a long drying period.

Good descriptive posts Toker, and thanxx for asking the question a lot of us needed the answer to but never crossed our minds to ask Greengrocr.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Got it. I have always identified these as nanners or bananas when they pop up on a female plant. I was not aware that they will show their ugly faces using colloidal silver or that the pollen genealogy might not be true.

I will carefully extract pollen from open sacks only. Good tip.

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Those are beautiful! Never heard of t*ts..well, the plant..

I'll bet you want some of those DrZiggy!

I heard they get pretty big sometimes, but even the little nuggets are good!!

A little Colloidal Silver will get ya all you can handle bro. :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

T*t's = Origional cookies ( Durban Poison and OG Kush) + sour Diesel add back in. And this is the T*t's mother.

It is from a local breeder and is available at the Cookie Company in San Jose, or was until the city changed all the rules.

Those are beautiful! Never heard of t*ts..well, the plant..

Alright guys it is pretty funny, but lets stick with discussing Colloidal Silver, and not get all boobly eyed. lol

Boys will be boys, but lets show respect to the ladies. :)
