How to grow in Coco: Feed schedule

Hi cult Im having difficulty finding places that stock the adv nutes range...it doesnt look like the grow shops have them in and I dont want to mail order if i dont have too. Any other suggestions for good replacements. I know I can use Ionic grow and bloom as base.

Also have you ever used Top Crop Micro Vita? Its fairly cheap compared to Great White and available locally to me.
Also Microbe Life Foilar Spray and Root Dip??? Or is it worth the risk and extra cost of postage?

Hi Cultivator
Sorry to be a pain but I have a couple of more queries about your vegging schedule:
1) I notice you use Mycorrhizae during 1st and 2nd repots in Veg - does that mean you use it once a week, every week during veg (like you do the first two weeks of flower)? I.e should I be using my liquid Mycorrhizae once a week in veg too?
2) Voodoo juice also appears in your veg nutes - is that one feed per week of Veg or just during the week of the two repots? I am in flower now and am giving voodoo juice as per your advice; one feed per week for the first two weeks then every 8-10 days until week 6 (I feed 2 x a day and I give the voodoo juice & Mycorrhizae in the morning....hope that's correct).
3) What's the reasoning behind starting sensizyme in week 1 of flower and not before?
4) When giving the additions during the two repots in veg and during first 2 weeks of flowering, is it better to give base nutes + calmag during one feed and the other feed of the day to give just the Mycorrhizae /voodoo juice with nutes at half strength? I am probably over-thinking this but it occurs to me that mixing everything up together in one feed might not be the best way to add Mycorrhizae and other bio stuff. I have read and heard that it is better to give Mycorrhizae and other stuff containing live microbes together with feed that is at half-strength. I have no idea if this is the case but wanted your opinion please.

Thanks for the advice and support!

Sorry I have neglected this thread the past month or so. I have been busy moving home and had no internet. Been so busy.

I am going to copy and paste a post from a thread in my other journal just to get advice and opinions. Thanks.

So Ive just had a bit of an idea. im thinking I maybe go to some grows and video it, maybe interview some growers and look around their grows. Just start with small rooms and tents as predominantly thats what most people do right? Therefore it translates to the viewer better. So im thinking like maybe 1 hour show to begin with and in that hour I video grow and maybe interview people then I do maybe 30mins live. The reason for this is that I can video the grow from a device that doesn't track location, I don't want to ruin peoples grows when they kindly open their door to me. id record it on a digital cam corder or GoPro or something then upload it and after the video I do a live section where I discus parts of the grow, maybe do a Q&A?

How does that sound to start? I have to do it safely man, I don't want anyone going to prison or being robbed. I was also thinking if anyone on 420 has a journal and they want to do a vid with me I could come to them, video the set up, chat and they can be on or off camera then again I do some sort of Q&A and a tutorial? Would anyone even be suggestible to something like that as it would take a huge amount of trust on both parties? By doin this we start breaking down barriers and stereo types of growers being long haired hippies are ski masked men with guns.

Recently ive been promoting oil and in just 3 weeks ive had so many people inbox me about oil, mostly because people are hearing about CBD and want to take it and have zero idea where to start. Often being ripped off from buying shitty inferior oil thats is labelled as 100%. CBD. I want to try and inform people about CBD because if people take it thinking it will help and its mainly olive oil they won't get much of anything and pay out fortunes in the mean time. I won't charge people for it for profit if they are genuinely ill. OH YOU HAVE LIVER CANCER? GIVE ME 4500£ for 3 months treatment! No I can't do that, I give it for the cost of making it as I can't afford to give it away for free when its made from premium flower and not just waste material. So many people in the UK and Spain make terrible oil and bulk it up with other oils, my oil is the only oil ive seen on the streets thats had any care put into it, because I do care! Thats not to say there isn't good oils, its just what ive seen in the area I am at. I have a trust base, people follow me for this reason. I wonder how many people follow these journals? probs not too many, especially when you consider the power of Instagram and Facebook just even for run of the mill accounts.

I was thinking of adding like a donation thing to the channel and then instead of using that money to go on hols and stuff, to use it to make and provide oil for free to those who really need it. I have ideas bouncing everywhere. I'm interested in all feedback but remember its only going to be an hour or so once per week to begin with. I wonder what time suit every one for the live show, baring in mind the fact that we all in diff time zones, suggestions please....

Thanks everyone...

I dont water to run off when doing single feeds daily. I feed enough so the pots are light to lift up and almost dry 24 hours later. Lots of things will affect the amouny of feed given so you have to play about and see what that amoujt is for you. As long as you feed everyday you will get healthy plants.
You must be so fed up to repeat yourself on this "I feed enough so the pots are light to lift up and almost dry 24 hours later" haha ! Thanx for all your precious help : )

Heres a few pics of some plabts i have growing in coco now. None in flower im afraid. For those of hou who dont follow my grow journals, i have several strains growing. I have BLZ Bud fem, Kings Banner regular in my hunt for new mother plants, Huckleberry regular, Liberty Haze fem, Incredible Bulk fem, Amnesia Haze hybrid fem.

COCO GROWN. The very best way to grow weed. Picture overload. All comments welcome.

All your pics are totally amazing ! Is that pot a 0.5 liter or a 1 liter ? I am thinking of doing root riot cubes > 0.5 liter plastic pots > 20 liter fabric pots. Is that something you recommend ? Thanx chief : )

Sorry ive not been around the past week or so, ive been mega busy and had intermittant internet. Ive only been updating my coco journal as ive just harvested 3 grows in a row and its so labour intensive. Anyway check out my other journals if you like plant and bud pics

I switch to bloom nutes a day or 2 before flip. It doesnt increase yield but it does finish plants faster 100%. Ive tried so many diff ways to feed and the schedule i have listed on page one of this thread is about as effective as it gets. The schedule is a generic one that will work for anyone providing adequate lighting and airflow are available, however i dont follow it as its written i adjust and tweak it to every grow as they are all different and after a whole you can read the plants and what they want at diff stages, nothing is set in stone and thats why i hate feed charts in general but the are good for beginners. But yes i count flower from the start of 12/12 and switch straight to bloom feed schedule to load up on p/k and the mix i use has enough N there to allow healthy growth while stretching, the main focus is to get the roots really going the first 2 weeks of flower.

I start my plants in 1-2litre pots, i dont bother with air pots or fabric pots at this point as i want my roots to form a nice ball. Then i go from that pot to my final size pot which is anything from 17litre+. In coco its just not necessary to pot up multiple times. When growing indoors you are limited to how much you can hit per m2 and you can achieve that in a short amount of time. i would never veg more than 6 weeks ever indoors as there is no benefit to longer period in my opinion for several reasons which i wont go into now. But id go with your 3 litre starter pots if thats what you have then id go max 4 plants per m2 and 17-25litre pots to finish.

I think I got my answer here as what you use for starting out. 1/2 liter pots although some people might think you use 1 or 2 liter pots as you wrote 1-2. Correct me if I'm wrong Cult : ) Have a great day mate

Welcome mate

Im pleased that you have enjoyed my thread and taken something from it. i am busy writing a book now, it's much harder than i thought it would be as i decided to do it like an encyclopedia of growing covering everything. But now i realise why no one has done it. My expertise is growing in coco and i am a skilled hydro grower in general but even discussing the various methods to grow hydroponically is so much variables and then when soil comes into it the work load becomes huge. Im thinking of doing only Coco coir book then a pure hydro book, even though coco is hydro most people see it as a type of growing between coco and hydro. Anyway i'm working ion it.

if you are feeding twice daily you want a little run off and make sure there are no dry spots in the coco. I personally wouldnt, put the run off back through as you will start to get salt build up. If you want to reuse go for flood and drain but to be honest they all use about the same ampunt of water.

Ditch Canna if you can. Avanced is good but really expensive and can be confusing with all their nutes and additives. Remember, light and fresh air are what give great buds, always invest money in that area before nutrients. Is Ionic available where you are? Its cheap, simple and works.

Great news amigo for your book ! Let us know once it's out. Do you have a youtube channel where we can see everything you talk about in this forum ?

You say " I transplant into a 1-3 litre pot as soon as the tap root comes out the bottom of the cube." But somewhere along your thread you say you transplant into a 1-2 liter pot which I actually thought was a typing mistake and therefore would've been a half liter pot. Can you say wether it's a half liter, 1 liter, 2 liter or 3 liter pot please ?

Also in my country we can't find these 3 nutrients. Could you please tell me with which ones I could change them for ?
Buddhas Tree Flower Burst
Buddhas Tree PK
Buddhas Tree Advanced Metaboost

Thank you so much chief : )

Anything up to 7 litre is fine. it just depends how long you plan to keep it in veg and your space. really 1/2litre-1litre is perfect for developing the starter rootball but as long as pot size isn't huge its fine.

substitute bud ignitor by AN for flower burst, Plagron green sensation or bloombastic for pk and metaboost.

Thank you for your answer Cult. I really appreciate it That's cool that green sensation alone or bloombastic alone will substitute both pk and metaboost.

Hi Cult,

I am trying to figure out what transplant 1 and 2 are ? Are they both veg ? Transplant 1 = week 1-2 veg and transplant 2 = week 3-4 veg ?

Thanx !

first transplant means when you place seed or cutting into the medium. second transplant means when you pot up to a bigger pot if you decide to do that.
Got it chief ! But then how do we kjow what to feed throughout veg ? Flower is writen from week 1 - week 9 but I'm lost about how to feed throughout veg. Sorry for my possibly dumb question.

the feed for veg is there? it doesn't change from first couple weeks.

Ok so I guess this is it:
Great White Mycorrhizae sprinkled in hole for transplant or direct onto rootzone
CalMag 0.3ec (150ppm)
Advanced Nutrient PH Perfect Micro Grow Bloom 1.2-1.4ec (600-700ppm)
SuperVit 1drop/4litres
