How I grow in coco Youtube videos and pics

Weed, I feed every day. I never use just water. Sometimes, I feed with a much weaker solution. I did that the last couple feedings with my closet grow under the Perfect Sun 1000.

If the leaves are dark green and you are getting some purple and you have been giving 2mL of camag per gallon of water, then keep giving 2mL of calmag but lower the amount of nutes.

If the leaves are a healthy green and you have been giving 2mL of calmag, and you are getting some purple, there might be a different issue, like it getting to cold sometimes in the room or a PH issue thus they are having a hard time uptaking mag or K.

Hey LDFR,

Quick question do you ever just water? So the schedule would be FEED, FEED, WATER. How much cal/mag should you use if you start getting purple stems (petiole). Should you just use a water/ cal/mag mix?
I have been using a feed, feed, water regime in my current grow and it is working quite well. Haven't had to flush at all yet and plants seem very healthy. Almost at harvest now and buds seem to be a good size. I also don't feed/water daily, usually every 2-3 days.
Haven't been able to compare different regimes properly yet so can't say if there are any benefits to this but I do notice most coco growers feed daily and only use plain water for flushing. Makes me think its not the best way to do it but definitely works.

Thank You, I think I need to increase the cal/mag I was only doing 1 ml per gallon. The temperatures have been in the high 70's or low 80's during lights on and dropping to the high 60's low 70's during lights off. I only feed until I get slight run off and usually every other day.

Thanks, So you would flush every 3rd day. How much water do you use per flush? Is it ph adjusted?

No problem.
Not quite though. I wait for the top inch of coco to be dry before feeding/watering which usually takes 2-3 days. So in 7 days I feed, wait two days, feed, wait two days, plain ro water.
When I give plain water I just use enough to get 10-20% run off. This way the medium is wet and the plants can absorb the left over nutrients.
If I notice the run off measurment is less than half the ppm of what it was fed a couple of days before, I will feed again the following day. If not, I wait until the top inch of coco is dry like normal.

Hope that makes sense, I'm pretty wasted right now ;) haha

Do you ever measure your run off for ppm and ph?

I never PH my run off.... I hardly get any. I feed them 1/2 of what I think they will need await 10 minutes an add more a 1/4 at a time. As soon as I see it trickle from the bottom of the pot. I stop.

After growing for years, I found there was no need to check runoff. Not unless something is going wrong with my plants and I don't know what it is. That is rare.
I guess being such a noob I can't speak plant language yet so I need something to tell me what is going on before I get major issues

I've spent the last couple of days going through your material, thank you for being so helpful to the great community we have here, I'm planning on using your techniques on my start up project with autos in my greenhouse, and plan on building a room indoors where I can get real serious, hope to see what your perfect sun 1ks can do in the new rooms, we have a low plant count in ak and I'm planning on growing large indoors to stay legal and still pull some weight, I was planning on a diy build but may just go with your lights to give a little back for all the great info you have put out, I'll inquire more when I get my room built and have a better idea of what I'll need for space and lighting, hope to see your new rooms working soon.

Hey LEDRF and other members. I read all the 20 pages of the thread + watched your videos for hours but since i'm a newbie there's just too much information to process. If you have the time can you check my thread and tell me what extra equipment i'm gonna need or make some suggestions/corrections. Growing sure is a bit more complicated than i thought! Thanks in advance!
