Horse's Coco Hempy 400w CMH Vertical Crawlspace Grow 2010

horse...
ok, your jack gets those claw leaves too....any idea what they are? one day i guess we will figure it out.....
my jack this is the 5th gen. of the same plant, grows like hell, then stall, and then tries to gain wt....which is good, this time she is tired tho....im going to let her go....maybe do a diff. seed or just start a new one....the last time she gave me a few seeds on the smaller branches....like a xmas bonus....so i'll give them a try.....and my original was a long time clone, so who knows how old that plant was to begin with.....take care, and have a very merry holiday....the plants look great....oh, and here they are using some stuff, not sure of the name, but you spray the leaves of the clone and it stops them from losing the moisture out the leaves....guess it works, i was given some, used it, and it plugged all the holes on the sprayer, so i politely gave it back with some kind excuse.....i do not have the temperment for spay bottles with plugged holes.....lol...L....seems a small thing in the scheme of life, but after a few hundred of them, it gives the term "pitching a fit" a whole new meaning...i could win a bottle toss...lots of practice....hubby boils them out...he retrieves them out of garbage...where i throw them after i pitch them a few times....hugs, L

High Lavendar,

I'm still sleuthing on the claw thing. I've been given, and have read at least 10 causes... but if your Jack's get it too, I'm even more in the dark, since my son's aren't.

I hear ya on the spray bottles. Mrs Horse leaves a trail of them, too... or when the garden sprayer clogs, she just takes off the pump and starts sloshing the mix out :lot-o-toke:

Sounds like you have a good deal, though... you break 'em, DH fixes them ;)

Salut,

:peace:

The Crawl is looking good Horse. Other than the mysterious curl they are nice healthy looking plants.
Your Russian still has a bit of the rounded single-leaf growth from revegging, looks like. That can take some time. Little Jack seems to like her new space, she's already trying to look like Bg Jack with those fluffy clumps of pistils.:thumb:

Would it be a pain to try cutting your nute strength by say 25% for a few feedings?
Old axiom. leaf pointing up is praying for something, leaf pointing down is begging for it to stop. very loosely paraphrased, but maybe they're getting just a little too much. BTW I said it was an "old" axiom, not necessarily an acurate one.

Merry Christmas Horse and Mrs Horse and all the others in your herd.

Thanks Mick, Mrs Horse sends a holiday nuzzle your way.

The WR has always been like that. Trichs all over, even down the stems of the single fans. She'd been in stasis for 6 months. I figured she'd want to get on with things.

And OC+ was the fert, and temps were pretty low for an N od.

I'm thinking it was a lo temp, re-vege, CMH lighting combo. with minors in macro and micro fertilizers. DocBud sez control your environment. You look at the upfront cost, gulp, and go a less expensive (ha,ha) way. Good thing that doesn't stop us all from growing... and sperimentin' :grinjoint: This indoor thing is neat, but way out there to me :smokin:
:peace:

:bravo:Very nice Grow! I really enjoyed following along! Hope yous'e dont mind if I join the party? Tooo much fun goin on in here.

I have had experience with all sorts of leaf problems, and would like to take a stab at an explaination.... I believe you have 2 seperate issues.. 1 being the claw from too much nitrogen caused from either the additional nutes (I find OC+ does not like the addition of other ferts), and/or the root zone being to warm (black buckets and rocks obsorb heat), which would cause the OC+ to release at a higher rate. That would be easy to check by sheilding the buckets from the light. The cupping is to slow down the transpiration evaporation... looking at all the pics.. it appears to have started on the leaves closest to the bulb in front, upward and ontop.. caused by the dry heat being blown and bounced off the bulb, also with some signs of overwatering.

I would not worry too much about it as it does not appear to be prohibiting bud growth!

:nicethread: Good Job! +rep
BTW Merry Christmas Everyone!

Thanks to Mrs Horse.

I'm sure that WR will kick in.

Your plants look very healthy so I'm not so sure the indoor thing will be a tough study for you. :slide:

Those curled leaves are just looking for attention, some girls crave it,lol.:goodluck:

Thanks for stoopin' in MedScientist. I'm with ya on the Nitrogen OD. I think the Shultz stuff started the whole thing by lowering the plants immune system. Then, I think, the light took over.

The bucket temps have been approx. 60-75° (60° when I schultzed 'em), so IDK if the OC contributed to the od or not. With the vertical setup, I think the plant shields the bucket, but I'll check that.

The dry heat theory is probably one of the links in the mystery chain, because that is pretty much where the curling is. The overwatering shouldn't be a problem in a hempy bucket, but I do have some strange and unnatural talents :)

Thanks for the encouragement.

Hey Horse hope you had a great holiday. How's things with Ms. Claw?

Howdee BlueDog,

Kids, grandkid, cousins and MIL... all snowed in at our house... eeeeehaaaaw!

Ms Claw's still flippin' me the backwards bird (s), but looks like bud production has resumed :slide:

Thanks for lookin' in. How's things in the spa? :rasta:

Hay Mick,

The WR is just plain weird. She's packin' new pistils that are least an inch long... but she's not packing on much more weight. I have no idea when she'll finish, but she sure is gooey. One of her daughters is really rocking, so the line shall continue... I'm hoping for some good SOG candidates :thumb:

Yer right, those curley girls are high maintenance... flat tops for everyone!

:peace:

Hey Horse :yummy:

For once, I have no input. Never had a plant stall like that. OC+ should be enough I would think, but been wrong before, ah many times actually!
Good luck!

High OMM,

I'm treating the curl as an oddity now :) The lower temps definitely effect the OC release, but it's probably not a problem that you'll ever have:rasta:

And, we're not mistaken, just misunderstood ;)

Thanks for droppin' in

:peace:

Hay All,

Don't know when the 5 stars popped up, must be kinda like watching a train wreck... but thanks :blunt:

Now I'll have put more pics up tonight ;)

Is his cage under the house in the crawl space? Depending on where he lives, it could be very dry. Or very humid. My Dad smoked Pall Malls.... he lived in florida.... :tokin:

Now that sounds like a party Horse! Not one I'd care to be at lol. Reminds me of my son's 10th bday party, he had 8 friends over to camp out in the backyard.... and of course we had thunderstorms all night. So we had 9 wired 10 year olds in the house all night.... 18 years later and it still haunts me :)

Pressure's on now buddy... we want 5 star pics or nothin :lot-o-toke:

Winter air carries little moisture. Heat it, and you got desiccation time. Nothing likes searing dessert air but cacti. Curling into a claw, tender leaves try to hide?
With a house full of people, your RH is no doubt up nicely. 'Til they go :)

You're dead on Propa. My 'veg room' monitor is reporting 0% RH the last 2 days, never seen that before, flower room is consistently 20-30%.

Some say that's a perfect rh for flower, others say keep it at 50-55. So much conflicting info, but I have to say that they look fine. I'm gonna try and build a real veg room today and address that rh, because I know 0 is too low.

Yep, yep, and yep.

The crawl is a different story, tho. I'm the only one doing heavy breathing down there :)

I hadn't put the heat and humidity together, but seems as tho the girls did... now I've got to work on hot n steamy ;) an endless loop of The Botany of Desire?
