Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Homer my 1:20 last year took about a week and half to go from cloudy to some amber after I had just a couple of amber fyi, it took longer for me than what was stated, but I think you are close. Bruce Banner is a great strain too btw if you grow, I have Dr Seeds White Tahoe cookies on the go now, I think it may be my nemesis too lol.

Thanks for the input about your 1:20 ripening experience; I will keep a close eye on her. Good to hear about Bruce Banner too; the THC claims for it are pretty enticing. I think I will grow it after my next plant which will be Penny's recommendation of Dinafem, Purple Afghan Kush. Sorry to hear about your White Tahoe nemesis, I feel your pain, lol.

Purple Afghan Kush sounds interesting for sure look forward to seeing it..., Bruce was very moist and sticky when cured, I don't smoke anymore, caps and edibles are my go too now. White Tahoe was first too sprout but lagged till her roots finally took, was going to cull but she has come back some what so she lives another day lol, we will see how she eventually turns out. All the best to you and all in these trying times.

Yes, Penny recommended the Purple Afghan Kush as pretty dank but the way you described the Bruce Banner it is pretty tempting. None of my strains yet have been moist and sticky during curing so that would be pretty impressive. I have quite a supply of Northern Lights which is pretty sedating so maybe I will hold off on the Purple Afghan Kush and try the Bruce Banner next. I appreciate the report.

Sounds like your White Tahoe may still be a winner. I have had plants that were not very impressive but ended up being good budders so she could still be a winner down the road. The final insult with my devil seed strain is that over seven weeks into flower it is not sticky or stinky in the least with tiny little buds so maybe yours is more of a problem child than a true nemesis.

Just wondering if the P98 suffered from any nitrogen toxicity (sorry I can't recall). As @MrSauga said:
"An optimum level of nitrogen throughout the plants growing phases will result in vegetative vigor, bright green leaves due to chlorophyll production, increase the number of leaves and size of the stems. Other advantages to an optimum level of nitrogen include an increased resistance against insects and fungi.

On the other side of the pond, too much nitrogen reduces yield and flower quality and causes weak stems, excessive foliage growth, delayed ripening of your fruit and creates a less sweeter end product. Your plant will show little resistance to pests as well.

More importantly though is too much nitrogen during the flowering stage will cause your plant to produce much smaller buds."

An interesting hypothesis but I don’t think it’s applicable in this case because the most this plant was ever fed was 6 g per gallon MC plus .25 g per gallon of BE so it was never given big doses of nitrogen. It was actually fairly healthy in flower for about a month until I decided to cut back it’s feeding to 5.5 g per gallon of MC for some dubious reason.

I did a fair amount of growing in my younger years and I remember several times having really small sickly plants that still had sticky buds. I think if you have a good resinous strain no matter how you treat it when it gets to the end of flower it would still be fairly sticky even if the buds were undersized.

And this demon seed strain is past seven weeks and has tiny buds without a hint of resin-like it is a hemp strain. So yes it is not a healthy plant but there is something severely wrong with the genetics of this plant in my humble semi-informed opinion.

My gorilla glue is nice and healthy still thankfully and is developing some nice secondary branches since I topped her about a week ago. She's up 3 g per gallon MC and seems content with that. She has a nice structure and looks like a promising candidate for training but I've learned not to count my chickens before they're cured.

My 1:20 looks like she is ready for harvest and since she is falling over despite me propping up her base it just seems reasonable to harvest her now. Despite having a little MC dosage issues she got to the end in decent shape but I am still going to take four cuttings off my Gorilla Glue plant to do an MC dosage comparison trial. The Devil Seed plant is if anything consistent continuing to be a total failure on all fronts other than completely dying. But seriously I just don't care anymore but I find it astonishing how bad this strain really is.

I have some comparisons of my buds between the 1:20 and the Pre-98. The 1:20 doesn't have the biggest buds but because the plant is so big there are lots of them and they are extremely sticky and quite pleasantly pungent with a nice fruity aroma. Overall quite happy with this plant.

The Pre-98 has just a few tiny buds and even if I completely squish the Bud between my fingers there is absolutely no sticky residue and no pungent odor like there is almost no resin in this plant. It honestly seems like a hemp plant because the buds are almost nonexistent and those that are there have no resin. It is really astonishing.

A close-up of the trichomes tells the story. The 1:20 has much more plentiful and bigger ones than the Pre-98 and honestly I'm surprised it has that many.

This pre-98 was quite a roller coaster. Wouldn't want to do it again but it was a good lesson in acceptance, at least I tell myself that, not sure if I believe it. This is the last posting I will ever mention this plant because there is virtually no reason to harvest it because there is nothing on it worth harvesting. Moving on though my Dr. Seeds Bruce Banner are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.:headbanger:

Hope everyone is holding up okay. We certainly are living in interesting times, to say the least. I think I'm doing okay but there's no one around to tell me otherwise, LOL.

The 1:20 lookin good Homer.
Thanks. Penny. I am happy about it also because it bodes well for my Dr. Seeds Gorilla Glue and Bruce Banner in the pipeline.

Homer that 1:20 is fantastic looking, can't wait to hear the harvest report...
Thanks, NA. Going to start trimming today. Not really looking forward to it because there are so many good but small buds. I might only do half and the rest tomorrow. Report soon to follow.

I harvested my Dr. Seeds 1:20 today and gratefully despite all the small buds it only took about three hours. The plant has been developing a kilter the last couple of weeks and maybe she knew her days were numbered because today we had almost a total collapse.

I ended up getting about exactly 24 ounces of wet bud so using my previous conversion rates of 27% I should and up with just a hair under 6.5 ounces. I was hoping for six judging by the size of the plant and buds so I am pretty content with that especially since they are really nice sticky resinous buds that should provide me with some good medicine for quite a while. I included a fair amount of sugar leaves with my trimming because they are covered in trichromes. I still have a fair bit of Cannatonic left so I should be able to concentrate on THC strains for the foreseeable future which I admit are a lot more fun to grow for some reason.

Homer, nice harvest and pictures.
Thanks for dropping by and for the kind comment.

Yea those buds look exactly like my pheno! You will be happy with the smoke and the medicine it provides! My wife loves the oil from that plant
It certainly does seem like a good pheno but then since it is the only one I grew I wouldn't know so thanks for the input Dutch. Encouraging your wife likes the oil because I am going to take it orally also. I am interested in experimenting with it because all the other CBD strains I have tried had a fair amount of THC so I can finally find out what CBD does on its own.

Good job Homer, nice harvest!
Thanks a lot, Penny. Every success I have relies on the foundation you helped give me. :thumb:

Congrats on the harvest! On to bigger pots and even bigger hauls :).
Thanks Shed. For sure about the big pots! I am curious how my Gorilla Glue does all alone under the big light flowering in her 10-gallon pot. So far she's looking to have a lot of potential! :headbanger:

My Gorilla Glue, which is my only plant currently, is still looking nice and healthy without any signs of leaf stress. I have been training her for almost a week now and I am getting a nice structure; if these early signs are any indication, which often they aren't, things look promising.

I already have her up to 3.5 g per gallon of MC because I started out at 2 g per gallon and have raised it half a gram each watering. I gave it a full gallon last time so a little plant like that should be at least a week so I think I'll take her right up to four and then leave it there for a while before going up to 4.5 Max in veg.

My Dr. Seeds 1:20 has been in the fridge a few days and the way the buds cling together this is definitely the most resinous strain I have grown to date which really surprises me because I don't expect that much out of CBD strains.

We had a lovely day here in Niagara about 60° and sunny so I cut the lawn for the first time today this season. Nice to get outside and feel like a free human being for a while. Being a loner at heart I was hoping this isolation wouldn't be that hard on me and except for a few bad days here and there I've been in pretty good spirits but I admit I do miss just seeing people like going for a walk at the mall or talking to the lady at the bank. Meaningless little encounters actually have more meaning it seems than I imagined. Thank goodness for the Internet though for the entertainment factor and the way I can keep in touch with people remotely. If that goes down then it's a whole new ballgame for me but from what I have read that's probably the last thing that would go.

Hope everyone is well and your buds are stinky.

Yea people will get tired of this crap eventually. Just hoping it goes back to fairly normal.
I just read a pretty grim article from the Editorial Board of The Washington Post about how we are through the initial stage but this is just the beginning of the ordeal. A pretty sobering and not inspiring read. I just hope they can keep food in the grocery stores because if not that's when all hell breaks loose.

Oh, forgot to mention my Dr. Seeds, Bruce Banner arrived on Friday. :headbanger: After that, I think I will try your suggestion of Dinafem, Purple Afghan Kush. I actually didn't lose your list like I thought I did; I guess Windows updated the sticky notes so now when you delete them they are still stored on a master list so I am going to slowly work my way down your list.
