Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

What's the calmag brand Homer? Can you post a pic of the N value, Ca and Mg content? Or just tell me, I don't need a pic unless there's a girl holding the bottle.
Yes, there is a rather friendly-looking gal on the bottle; she is a bit of a cow but I find that can work in one’s favor.

Seriously though I’m actually looking forward to your opinion because I know you really know your nutes so here is the label my friend as requested.

LOL! I certainly never expected an ROI conversation about using a couple of stones to keep leaves off the dirt! :slide:
Oh yes. I do take return on investment very seriously and am committed to my minimalist approach not because I am a Puritan but because I am just plain lazy and I am trying to make the most carefree bountiful garden I can.

What I meant to say was that I forgot in my last post was the latest thing I eliminated is my fans and I see absolutely no difference at this point and I am saving about 100 W in power I figure. I'm just stripping it down to the bare essentials.

That is interesting. I just turned 60 this year and I don't even have a will made out. I really should do all that.
The Baroness and I just did ours 3 weeks ago. Funny this has come up.

Hey Homer!
Regarding your 20:1 I know your mentioned it being smaller compared to the pre98. I noticed that the 20:1 always had quite small structures and smaller branches but produced nice resin and buds. I’m keeping my mother 20:1 shorter and to encourage some stronger branches! It may be on your best interest to train her a bit more! Just some food for thought

Thanks for the inside track on the 20:1; good to know she is a good budder. I am just waiting for my two secondary branches to beef up a bit then I am going to make them the mains by going pretty much horizontal with them so I will be doing lots of training with some super-cropping. I appreciate the input.

I meant to mention I once broke one of my secondary branches by trying to bend it horizontally too soon so now I wait a bit for the secondary branch to really take hold of the main before I start training.

There’s lots of pictures I can dig up for you if you like! I’m looking forward to seeing what yours turns into!
Hopefully they turn out like the ones I posted today in flower now because I am using the same training. If you have pics feel free to show. Always willing to learn.

I watered my NL today and I removed all the leaves that have yellowed since my last watering 3 days ago as part of my Cal/Mag comparison test. Unlike last week where I had slightly more leaves yellowing on the Cal/mag plant, this week I had several-fold more yellowing on the plant that has not receive the Cal/mag.

I had a good look at the buds also and I cannot see any real difference in the size or quality of buds between the two plants so even though this week it seems the Cal/mag may be keeping leaves a little greener it doesn't seem to be helping with the yield which is the only part that really matters but it's still early so stay tuned, LOL.

They both look amazing, and I'm with you that we can't draw a conclusion yet from a few more leaves on one last week and a few more on the other this week. I wouldn't have even taken those leaves off as they're still green!
Yes a little early for conclusions and also I don't usually start getting a lot of yellowing till about now in the cycle anyway.

The leaves actually came out a lot healthier looking in the photo than they really were and I would normally leave them but since I am doing a comparison I wanted to keep a running tally. Also when they do begin to yellow they get bad in just a matter of days so it isn't like I am being all that premature.
