Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

If those were mine I'd supercrop the tall ones and get light down to the lower middle. That will increase the budsites as well as let the mains catch up. But of course...they're not mine :).

I have done that in the past and was considering it but I wanted to see how well they would even out if I just let them go. Seems not so well. Thanks for the suggestion.

One reason I wasn’t so worried about the canopy this time was that I noticed that buds that are on the periphery of the light and receiving a fraction of the luminosity seem to have buds just as big as the ones right under the light so it just didn’t seem to me it was as important as I thought to have a perfectly flat even canopy.

Not just the even canopy but more light to the lowers where the intensity is greatest. Maximize the buds where the lux are.

Ok, I will supercrop!! :headbanger: :high-five:

Make sure you bend just above a potential budsite that can grow into the space you create, and always bend into a space where you're not blocking something below.

Thanks for the advice. Bending so the budsite can grow is a good idea and sounds like a challenge to not block what is below but that will be my goal.

Ok, I went all in on the supercropping. :headbanger: I tried to fan them out radially to open up the centre and also make it wider.

Day 56 of Veg!!

Your suggestion worked out very well Shed because the super cropped branches are staying down but pointing up now and lots of little shoots are starting to sprout and it has given me lots of headroom; great improvement, thanks.

I watered today using same as last time 5 g of MegaCrop per gallon and gave each 5 gallon pot 1 gallon each. I let them dry out so much that the Cannatonic leaves are all curled up in the photo from watering them two hours ago.

From turning on a dehumidifier I have gotten the humidity down to below 50% in the basement so I think I will be able to grow all year round with acceptable temps and humidity because I know from this winter I can keep the humidity above 30% and my dehumidifier keeps it below 50% now and once summer starts and the central air-conditioning is going it should be pretty easy to maintain. So I think my basement method is going to be a success.

I know that 30-40% for late flower is what's posted a lot of places but I'm sure with good airflow through the undercarriage and across the tops you can live at 50% all grow long. See where 50% puts you on Archiweedies VPD chart if you have good control over your temps.

Thanks for the chart as it helps a lot to know where I am with my temps and humidity. You are a constant source of info. :high-five: :ciao:

.
Nice job on supercropping Homer. You can compare them with untouched stems to see the result for yourself. Supercropping is great :passitleft:

Hey, TriangleCheese. Thanks for the comment and thanks for the early lessons. You are the one that got me started on it!! :thumb: :high-five:

Day 58 of Veg

I did my original supercropping Wednesday and by today I had a few tall stocks sticking up again so I supercropped them again today. Really happy with the nice canopy I am getting. I don’t think I am going to have any problem going from four plants to just two with the good coverage I am getting when I switch to my 600 W LED budding light.

I expected my flowering plants to be finished by now because they are supposed to be finished budding in 8 to 10 weeks and I am now at 10 weeks and five days but they still don’t look ready so I guess I will just let these go a while longer. I could flip them with the 300 W light but I don’t see the harm in waiting for them to get bigger.

These are before the second supercropping today.
