Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Looking nice and flat and even so far! Nice training.

I put small rocks between the soil and the lower leaves I don't want to remove.

Thanks, Shed. I have been lucky so far with my training and they are behaving pretty well.

I find lower leaves make watering more difficult so I usually remove the lower ones before long so I may just leave them the way they are and get rid of them when they look sick. I guess it is agreed to not let leaves touch the soil and I wonder why? I find it does seem to make them sick; anyone know why?

Day 43 of Veg.

Still amazed at how much growth I get every day at this stage. Most of the vertical growth is from the secondary branches off the main four on my quadlining WW . I am just going to keep tying down the main four and let everything else go vertical.

I made my vegging room nice and big so I can fit my box fan and my bucket to sit on when I do my training. I like having just two plants at a time at each stage because I can really concentrate on training them properly without it being a big task and I actually look forward to it.

Surprised how much the humidity varies over 24 hours in my basement but if you see my highs and lows for 24 hours I am still barely within limits. Looks like the dehumidifier might have come on soon.

In these pics you can see that stretch I’m talking about on the secondary branches.

I removed some bottom leaves on each plant so now nothing is touching the earth. I prefer it that way anyways for watering so it was inevitable. Besides this is a minimalist grow so fundamentally I couldn't bring in stones, lol.

Those inners are really outpacing the mains! Are you going to let the mains catch up eventually?

Yes, they seem to have gone crazy the last 2 days. Not really sure what I will do. Usually, by this time my last crop is done so, I am ready to flower and let everything go vertical but they have another week or so to go since I started them earlier just being 2 plants. If the secondaries get too tall I may tie them down or supercrop them but hopefully once I let the mains go they will catch up, time will tell. Stay tuned, lol.. :thumb:

Day 44 of Veg

Nothing too exciting going on other than my secondaries on my WW growing faster than anticipated but not a real problem yet as far as my canopy staying level goes. I tested my trichomes on my budding plants and I have probably another week to go before these get flipped at a min so my timing doesn't seem too bad. They already take up an area of 1.5 x 2.5 feet so they should fill my 3'x3' once they grow a bit more and stretch.

Looking good.

Thank you Bean Town.

This is what stretch looks like.

I was under the impression stretch came just after they were flipped and this is still on veg? One might have thought maybe my lights were too far away but I have them at the same 18" I have with all my plants and I know from experience if I go closer they will burn the leaves so not sure why she is stetching.

Remove all that low inner growth clean her up a bit.

I took your advice and cleaned them up a bit. Can I ask why you recommended it?

How tall are the mains compared to the middle if you cut them loose?

Hey Shed. The mains are about 9 inches long and the longest secondaries are about 7 inches. My two plants are pretty close in height so if that continues I think I will just continue on the way I have but maybe let the mains come up a bit. I found in the past the mains seem to find the canopy no matter how long they are held down.

Underneath the canopy is were the hated insect thrives keep it clean so no bugs or rot sets in.

Thanks for the reply BeanTownFan. I find it easier to stick with something if I know why I am doing it; appreciate the info. :thumb:
