Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

It's the half-split method of troubleshooting;)

Exactly, used it a thousand times in millwrighting but never heard it labelled. :thumb: Edit: Thinking again we called it splitting the difference but I think half-split method is a spiffier moniker!!

I'm pretty much working in half gram increments so I'd go down to 7.0, but keep an eye on the tips and see how they do at 7.25. For science!
I increase at .25gram increments but haven’t been pushing my plants yet! I will be on it soon though!

Hey Homer!! Hope your well I can see the garden is! It’s rockin and looking fantastic!

All I can say is Sauga encouraged me to push them and it seems to have worked out well for me. Thanks buddy, glad you like the garden. I am doing well thanks; how’s married life treating you?

Awesome! Going to go through all these pages to get caught up lol

I'm setting up a 5x5 tent with 1000w hps (chose the 1000 over dual 600 hoods for now) using 4 autopots with airpods, dual fan intake/exhaust and all the gadgets for heat and humidity control. Decided on 4 white widows which I'll be soaking this weekend.

Hey Whiterabit. Sounds like some serious gear. My White Widow is from Dinafem; would be cool for comparison with such different approaches with the same strain.

We are all here to help buddy. I am only on my fourth generation and everyone here kept me going in the right direction. You should start a journal and every time you have a problem solutions will just appear like magic. Lots of experts that know waaaaaayyyyyyyyy more than me.

I did a scrog and it makes watering kind of a pain. Most people now are doing training like quadlinging. Gives the same result without the constant obstacle of a scrog net.

I intend to do a journal for input, and to help others (can never have enough!) I've only been here like an hour and you've already been helpful *insert beer here* (Duff, Ofcourse lol)

That's why I went with the hydro setup. I'm used to soil, but WW are new to me and I've read good things with those girls in auto feeders. I decided to grab the 4 pot autopot system so I can train and expand them without having to manoeuvre through the tent to water. That's my plan, anyways.

Going to start at the beginning of your thread and go through your posts and grows now... Will follow up once I'm all caught up.

Sorry I know almost nothing about hydro setups but many do. I am sure you will do fine once you get your journal up and running, good luck in your grow.

Hey Homer, your Plants look awsome. I was thinking about trying megacrop but went with a high brix kit instead for my next grow. Maybe if the kit isnt my cuppa tea I'll try mc the next run.

2 of my current plants are doing great and the third, with all the same inputs is being a problem child. Not much activity on my journal from people with suggestions for what might be the issue so I've not changed anything. If it dies it dies.....

Happy growing

Hey, Knifemaker. I am somewhat familiar with the high brix kit and from what I hear people are getting good results but it really is the complete opposite of my approach and philosophy for my minimalist grow. From their website this is what is in the kit.

It contains:

8 oz. Brix Foliar Spray

8 oz. De-Stress Foliar Spray

8 oz. Growth Ionic Drench

8 oz. Transplant Drench

4 oz. Cationic Drench

4 oz. Tea

20 oz First Run Amendment Powder

One lb Roots Powder

One lb Recharge Powder

One Doc Bud User Guide

As opposed to MegaCrop which is just one single product. I would find it interesting to see a comparison between the high brix and MegaCrop but honestly for myself personally I don’t think the additional product would be worth the hassle and extra cost because I am already growing more than I need. And the brix system needs RO water and I just use tap.

Sort of odd you have one problem child but since the other two are doing fine with the same system it sounds like that plant has an issue. Hope everything works out and good luck.

Got my hbb kit last week and just got my soil cooking sunday. This run is getting advanced nutrients ph perfect MGB along with voodoo, b52 and calmag. 2 loving life. The problem child had an out of soil experience on its first day above soil. Still dont know how or why it climbed out of the ground when it sprouted but its been slower and smaller than the others since the beginning. Just the last few days its been looking sick tho.
I've tried tagging some of the more experienced people who seem to help with problems but they must be too busy, and I totally understand how that is.

Have a knife day

That is really bizarre that it climbed out of the ground; never heard of anything like that before, sounds like it almost wants to commit suicide like a beached whale, LOL. Like I said since the other two are loving life it sounds like this one has an issue perhaps unrelated to how it is being treated. I am just spitballing here but maybe it has some sort of a defect.

This is only my fourth grow so I am far from an expert. Have you asked @InTheShed or @Pennywise ? I find those two seem to know just about everything.
