On the bright side there are many other Homer's running around trying to figure out the same thing. I heard the trick is a jeweleller's screwdriver around the wood and wax and she pops right out.

That screw was a good solution
lol, well when I said I heard to do it that way I only learned that when looking for those pics. That sounds like a good idea.
It looks like he burned the box. I guess if I was going to do it that way I would have heated the screw up and screwed it in, let it cool and pull it out with pliers. Or I would have put it under Grandpa's press from frustration.Too bad he didn't have more pics.
I think what threw me for a loop was I read that somebody melted it because it was wax but mine didn't have the consistency of wax but more like some kind of a glue or epoxy? Whatever it was I got it out and the seeds, vial and wooden case are all intact.lol, well when I said I heard to do it that way I only learned that when looking for those pics.

That is exactly what I was thinking which is why I didn't mind the challenge getting them out. I think that's why they do it like that and they do mention I think I read on their site it's good for long-term storage the way they do it and gets them safely to you. Don't quote me.At least you know your seeds weren’t tampered with
An ironworker would have gotten a bigger hammer.lol, well when I said I heard to do it that way I only learned that when looking for those pics.

I'm guessing you are right and it was probably hot melt from a glue gun.I think what threw me for a loop was I read that somebody melted it because it was wax but mine didn't have the consistency of wax but more like some kind of a glue or epoxy?
Or got his apprentice to figure it out.An ironworker would have gotten a bigger hammer.
When looking for men who will walk a six-inch beam 300 feet in the air intelligence isn't exactly the trait they select for so not sure the apprentice would be a lot of help, LOL.I'm guessing you are right and it was probably hot melt from a glue gun.
Yes from the consistency I think it was from a glue gun.
Or got his apprentice to figure it out.
Well, it isn't like the stuff grows on trees. No, wait...So wood is in high demand out west also.
My 2-day job of reorganizing my growing rooms still seems 2 days from completion 5 days out but I like how it is turning out. I think I may be posting a little surprise in the next little while. It probably would have been quicker if I just went out to the woods and cut it myself
Thanks, Penny. Hopefully, it will be done for Monday.Gonna be a nice space when it’s done
For sure and I would like to get it out of the way because I have a few other jobs backed up because of it.Good weekend to get it done.
