Cool, I always assumed for some reason diesel strains were Indicas... live and learn.Yes mostly diesel with Chocolate Trip
Homer, First, plant canopy and shot great. I like the side by side...two different strains, both look quality comparable from cure to close up. I would like to try smoking both for a taste tester. Nice. After getting a three-week drought when I was busy I finally had time to pressure wash my deck in preparation for staining and it has rained every day since with lots of rain in the forecast so I might as well do a little report today.
My Gorilla Glue is starting its eighth week of flowering today. The breeder says this strain should take 7 to 9 weeks so I figure it will probably take 10 weeks at least but I checked the trichomes today because I have the time with the weather keeping me from my staining. I see lots of clear and no amber so I think she has at least a few weeks to go. Being a Sativa mostly I don't want her to get too amber.
She is looking pretty happy still thankfully.
I have lots of bud sites but not huge buds so I am not certain how she will yield. My biggest harvest was this Northern Light in a 5-gallon pot at 10 oz so I was assuming the GG in a 10 gallon would have the advantage but I may be wrong. The NL has many fewer bud sites but had some pretty massive ones!
A buddy I used to work with dropped by with a sample nugget from his grow and it is pretty impressive especially next to my NL.
He's doing something right. He swears by HEC lights. Hope everyone is well.
Oh, interesting. I know you like Chem 91 a lot. I have to put that on my grow list.Diesels are more sativa in their effects. Original diesel was Chem 91 x Mass Super Skunk
Thanks, cr8grow. I think you are being a little generous in your opinion because I think my buddies strain is frostier but I am fine with that; just shows I have room for improvement. I got some kind of filtered toker as a prize so tomorrow being Friday I am going to give my buddy's bud a test.Homer, First, plant canopy and shot great. Cool, I knew there was one strain you raved about but I wasn't sure that was it. Now it is on my list for sure. Any breeder in particular? The Chemdogs are the real deal, if I could only grow one strain it would be Chem 91.
Sounds like a good grow oldsmokey. If Penny recommends the chem 91 it must be good and I grew the 1:20 and it was pretty good. Nice fruity aroma and sticky.Going to grow a couple chem 91 and 2 20:1cbd next round.
Thanks, Penny, I will get Humboldt versions. I have seen you mention clone only before and that has always made me curious. Does that mean someone took a cutting from a female plant and kept the phenotype alive with just cuttings so it has never been made a seed? I can tell my tincture is kicking in because I am having trouble asking what I want, lol. I ask because I thought if you just took cutting generation after generation the plants eventually lose their mojo? Or can you take cutting indefinitely?Look at CSI Humboldt he has S1’s. Remember it’s a clone only so if you’re buying seeds and they are not S1’s then they are hybrid crosses.
Can't go wrong with Penny's recommendations, other than P98, lol. I actually made a timelapse of my 1:20 grow if you want to check it out. P98 was supposed to be the star but because of a lackluster performance 1:20 stole the show.I got the Chem 91 on his recommendation.
Thanks for finding that Homer! Great info.I found a good vid about the different extraction methods
Oh, that is surprising and amazing. I assumed the mother was long dead and cuttings came from a long line of cuttings. Any idea how old this thing is because I guess they can last in veg for almost ever.Skunk Va has the Chem 91 mother, CSI Humboldt took that cut and reversed it pollinating itself.
