Here We Go Again

What I would do..... Option # 1: Leave door open. Option #2: Leave window open but could build something to have a screen and venting into that room.(probably what I would do if I absolutely had to have the door closed). Option #3: Cut a relief air in the door(I'm in HVAC and I did it all the time. Just put a relief air door screen).
:passitleft:
So myself I would never vent into the attic. It can create some moisture problems in there. It would in Canada anyways. Myself I would just leave the door open and done. Or an LED... Ultimately the decision is yours and you can run whatever venting you decide. I'm just telling you, you need fresh air INTO the room and nothing will change your problem without that. Sorry fella, that's the best I can offer you. Good luck with your grow, I'll be watching for buds eagerly :blunt:

I appreciate all the advice you have both given so far for this. Hopefully I’ll be able to produce some buds out of this eventually then I can save up a bit and get an led that will ultimately make growing a lot easier!

Okay so opened window and door last night to see what happens then cranked light back up to 600W. 9am it’s on 35 degrees and 27 humidity

35 is alright, it is on the higher end, though... you wouldn’t want it to go any higher... would it be worth getting a small AC for the room?

its 31 now with the Door open and the Fan blowing out into the upstairs hall through the door. As of now I’ve aerated this as much as possible. I mean...can I produce a yield from this? I could look at getting an led in a couple of months after this harvest and then presumably the heat problems will be solved right?

I have looked into getting an ac but then it’s the case of the extra noise within the room that I’d like to avoid if possible. I’ve seen ac units for £200 which Is kind of steep but I’m not sure how much it will help with the heat?

LED may not be your life savour, but it would help... just roll with it. Your plants will grow, they might get heat stress, they might not. Roll with the punches as they come.

when Ivented into the same room I was running around the same temps. As soon as I built a way to go to the window, it solved everything. I wouldn’t recommend venting to the attic because I’m Canadian, and I wouldn’t recommend that to any Canadian. Your residential housings might be built different then ours, idk. I just know I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe there’s a way for you, idk. I hope you figure it out man.:passitleft:

One thing I'd like you to check is the thermostat that you're using... What temp does it pick up in another part of the house like downstairs? It wouldn't be the first time I've seen them out by a few degrees. I use to see it all the time when I was in the salt water reefing hobby. People would buy a digital thermometer and it would be out for years. It's worth a check....

nothing new to report here. Have left the door open in the room and put the light up to 600w and now temperatures sit at a steady 33 degrees. Still slightly too hot though. Just need that little something extra to kill off the last 6 degrees or so.....however summer is approaching so it’s going to be getting hotter regardless. Would air cooled lighting do the trick?

I’ve also done some testing and have figured if I put my whole extraction setup in the attic I can decrease the overall noise of my setup by a hell of a lot. thinking of buying another extractor fan setup but with this one extract air from a hole in the attic that leads outside to push into the tent. Think this could be worth giving a go?

edit : forgot to say I don’t have a thermostat in my house so it wouldn’t be that causing an issue. I have radiators but all are turned off, I don’t use them even in the winter. Typically I am one of these people that are generally always hot, I also think my house has mad insulation.

You missed the point fella... I may have used thermostat when I should have used thermometer. The thermometer that you are using in the tent.... Go around the house with it and check the other temperatures. In your bedroom, in your kitchen... THE THERMOMETER MAY BE FAULTY IS MY POINT...

Want to know how you're making out?

hey man, measured the temp in every other room, it fluctuates between 19-22 Celsius.

everything is still the same, they look to be growing however they don’t have a deep green colour to the leaves, more so a pale green/nearly yellow colour.

They’re still alive so I mean it could be going a lot worse right...

Well see how it goes. Maybe you can get through a grow with this light while you wait on getting a new led. I think that light is just too hot to be honest. I wish there was something else I could suggest.

is there going to be a point when the heat could just kill them or if it was going to happen would it have happened at this point being as they’re seedlings?
It will stress the plants out enough to make them herm on you, before they would die because the heat. Growing in these extreme heats isn’t not doable. It’s just not ideal. For plants to thrive, they need proper conditions.

Updates : these plants look pretty sad and crispy. Are we nearing the end of the road for these?

They’re looking more yellow and crispy than ever now. Perhaps an air cooled lighting setup would be something that helps? Will this drop the temp by 7-10 degrees centigrade? If it will then I’m willing to purchase this as it looks like I’m going to have another failed grow attempt as of now unfortunately. I have been ph’in the water to 5.8.

on a brighter note....in my 2 foot tent my 4 purple punch autos are looking lovely so far And it looks as if a nugget is starting to develop on one of them. I have them on a 20 hour on 4 hour off cycle. Running a 250w light on them, no temperature issues with them or anything and they’ve been in a pot for 20 days now. Aw what point would you add vegging/flower nutrients or is this not done for autos?
