CRISIS AVERTED UPDATE

Hi folks, we turned the tap on yesterday and dust came out :eek: ! Our well pump met its maker! That was 3pm on Friday. I made a call, the well folks came and diagnosed it as a bad pump and today it was hauled up 550 feet and a new one attached! I'm flushing it as I type! What a great service these folks do!

My plants won't even miss the 24 hours without their auto water. When I drought it takes a week to notice even a little. Another hour of flushing and it'll be clear enough to run through the filter and into the house! Never a dull moment!

i think he is saying the pump is 550’ in the ground to the bottom of their well. Have to pull it up to ground level to replace it :)

Oh so the well is 550 feet deep with the pump at the bottom. That makes more sense. Thanks Ke0ncp!

Lots of them aren't so deep. We had low recovery rate when drilling it so it had to go to abyssville. A well needs to have so much recovery fill back as you tap from it. This one was slow and making it deeper created a battery of water to have on hand. 1.5 gallons a foot is stored in the hole.
We're in a countryish neighborhood. When building there was a moratorium on hitching onto town water, which is their wells as well. :) . It's a small town that kind of runs minimally that way. It may still be so.
Yep it's down the bottom hanging on the end of a flexible pipe.

Yeah, glad you got a new pump! And in short order!! 500+ ft. is a long ways! Here, it's 150 ft. Kinda hard water, but not enough for a softener. You grow such gorgeous ladies. Wondering how they're (and you, of course) they're doing. Hope your weekend is nice. It is here! Happy Smokin'

I seriously hoped it would be on flexible pipe or you would have to notify air traffic control when you haul the pump out!

I had a splice hose blow off while away yesterday and thought I had lost my POS pump in the basement luckily after cooling it primed right back up , fucking 400- relieve and would have to do it myself !!!!!!!!! Glad you could et it fixed quick stone

It was incredibly fast timing Bode! From failed to fixed in less than 24 hours! The well outfit is a family owned operation. My wife went to school with an uncle of the installer that came.That uncle drilled it originally. It was really nice to have them!

Hehe I can hear them clearing the airspace so I can get a new pump! :rofl: He had it out and a new one in in an hour! My plants never knew what happened and it was fixed! I don't even know how much $. This replaced one's 12 years old.
 
STEADY AS SHE GROWS UPDATE

Hi everyone, the group is chugging along and fattening up! So far there's been a halt in the negativity that came on. Buds are getting bulgie and green is staying in the leaves. I've keep the ugly on so we can see if any more needs to be done to help. I love seeing the same green margins every day when I peek in on them!

I'm top watering with water most times now. Not every day, every other. If I go every day water comes from some of the over flow holes so I decided to let them dry out and keep the top roots damp. Maybe it'll be every third day?

Anyway, here they are today.

Gorgeous group of colas, SO!!! Banana Pudding is stacking nicely. White pistils galore!! Pretty ladies! Apple Bettys are looking little crispy, but full of buds. Strange how one is short, and the other so different! And Mango Mousse looks like she's been a little trouble getting her to the finish line. They all look like they have a ways to go yet. Gorgeous group! Happy Smokin'

Hehe, this was the grow I was being super vigilant about de larfing and making a limited number of colas to get less but better bud. It kind of worked out! I kind of both won and lost that plan when several FIM's appeared and I took the bait and grew them out! Oh and a triple noded plant in the Banana Pudding!

That Mango has seen some rough times Bode! It seems to be stopped or slow to worsen and she's building bud now. She smells nice and sweet!

Let's just talk weed then Smokes! Word has it I'm going to like this Apple Betty! I grew an Apple one a few years ago and it nannered late in flower. I'm keeping my good eye out for that. No relation to this Herbies cultivar so I'm not worried. That one turned out to be one of our fav's for a long time!

I do have some things growing. I’ll be putting together a journal soon hopefully to share at least one plant with everyone.
