Herbie's Beans - Black Widow And Super Skunk

I don't have much problems with PM inside but im anal about cleaning my room and if im messing around outside i usually get cleaned up before i go in my room and i soaked my scissors in alcohol
ive had that shit wipe a round or 2 thats why i brought out the BIG GUNS the ozone it works but like i said it kills flavor.
ive tried copper spray, surfactants, bicarb, and to no luck just when you think you got it under control it pops up again!

What ive read is PM Is it gets inside the plant and there is really no way to get rid of it it just keeps coming back but im not sure about that alls i know is once you got it its HARD to get rid of and a long time ago before i knew what it was i had 1 plant outside HOLY SHIT the thing was almost 12' tall but just silver as could be never seen anything like that before , lessons learned
You drive around here in the summer and some of these fields around here are loaded with it. Like i say my neighbors grow it on their hydrangeas they don't even know what it is year after year he get it then i watch as he basically rolls around in it while he out cleaning his yard Id say something to him but hes a FUCKING ASSHOLE! SO I just shake my head and laugh about it!

When i used the bicarb on them years ago it turned all the hairs brown )I was in flower trying to save them) and i was careful about not getting it on the flowers pm is a foliar disease anyways but ive also read if you change the ph on the leaf surface (The bi carb) to raise it like 8.0 its supposed to kill it but im skeptical about that because it didn't work for me !
I didn't have any luck that way either it just kept coming back so i just dealt with it, for me its about preventing it anymore because I know if my plants get it its ALL OVER but the 😭😭 !

I put this on a 15 min on 1hr off in-between rounds for a day or 2 to kill any rouge spore's that might be floating around. I left it on to long when i took the flavor out of that one + it was too close to the plant it killed the terpines no o taste at all ,took me a few minutes to figure out what happened

So i got my blumats dialed in on the one end pretty good 👍 101 its been hoovering there for a week or so. I don't do the wet dry cycle ive tried both and after Comparison of the 2 different methods I see BETTER results with a consistent moisture level than I do with a wet/dry cycle...... just an opinion not right not wrong just something to think about though for those who don't agree with a consistent moisture level's well see what happens this round in flower ✌️

I think when you have that big garden bed which must hold a fair volume of soil that it is better to do what you doing and not attempt major wet/dry cycles. My trough is about 80 gallons (probably less than half your's) and I don't water every day so there must be a wee bit of a natural reduction of moisture but not all the way to being dry, plus I have mulch on top which helps maintain moisture especially with the wind & sun.

Funnily enough, with your previous mention of finding worms on the floor making a run for it. When I was growing in pots I would see that from time to time, worms on the tiles. But growing now in a trough with a lot of hot weather, so far I haven't seen a single worm on the tiles, so I think the bigger volume of soil must be helping maintain a more even moisture balance.

I pruned off a lot of future small growth early on, which has left my canopies much more thinned out than previously, not that I encountered PM, but I am hoping it helps against potential bud rot when previously buds were pressing against one another, cos that's a shit when it happens.

Anyway your plants are looking lush, green and healthy, and Super Skunk brings back memories! :bong:

Thank you @Stunger 🙏 I have about 160 gallons in there plus it's a fabric bed not metal and I don't have any aeration in the bottom just soil in there but yeah down in your bed especially with the mulch on top your soil probably stays a good consistent moisture level 6" deep is where i measure but yeah its all on how you want to do it i like these auto irrigation saves a BUT LOAD of water and I have always had a BAD habit of over watering so these REALLY HELP there is no one here to slap my patties 😂😂. Here's a photo of the young ones they are coming along well to. I use minimal food and not much worm castings at all during a round usually @start up about 1 cup for a cubic foot of soil that's it , no compost i think the bio char REALLY HELPS out Alot with the food and microbes+ all the real estate
