Congrats! I have been really happy with it. I Never go above 1/2 strength. And never Ph.
Are you using coco above the res or pure perlite?
You using Tap or RO water?
if Tap what is the PH and PPM of it
mine is like 7.3-7.6 and PPM is 343

I use either Distilled or filtered water from my fridge. I'm unsure of the Ph for the water that comes from the fridge but it is 170 ppm.You using Tap or RO water?

I use either Distilled or filtered water from my fridge. I'm unsure of the Ph for the water that comes from the fridge but it is 170 ppm.
My feed goes as follows. I always add 150ppm cal mag (100 for seedlings. Regardless of what water I'm using)
And Then anywhere from 150 to 300 ppm of a and B (combined total).
I think I was doing it incorrectly originally I was adding equal PPM of A and B. As opposed to equal amounts. Recently I have used 3 ml cal mag 3 ml part A and 3 ml part B. You'll notice the part A contains far more dissolved solids.
So if I want to increase ppm of base nutes I will add A and B check combined ppm and adjust (obviously easier to add more than attempt to dilute).
The Ph perfect promise will correct any water with a ph between (approximately) 4.8 and 8.5. So your golden with your sink water. However your higher ppm may not be totally ideal. It will work. I like my base water (before nutes) to fall between 100 and 200 ppm of TDS.
Sorry for the long winded post....
Yea i always thought that 2 ive yet to actually use the full recommended amount lolHahah golden arches! Too funny BJ
Remo is doing well for my buddy swagg he's in coco but still. I still have yet to Ph once.... . I'm noticing some N or cal mag def. On the plant with TMV so I'll bump up the cal mag some. I'm at half strength for my base nutes. And won't go any higher. Maybe even back off a tad. I think 1/2 strength should be the full strength recommended dose haha!
So since I use a ro water filter system to get water 4 my girls and I have a natural well so my ph from my ro water system comes out around 9.0ish so would I not be able 2 use a ph perfect type of nute so I don't have to adjust the ph any more? Like will those nutes not work right and adjust themselves to the proper levels with my well water being so high a ph level??Ya my PPM water is High... Ill probobly stick with RO water and maybe try some Tap water with a few Test Dummies
Great info Dab.... really appreciate it

This question is answered when you understand the equilibrium relationship between CO2, HCO3, and CO3. In a closed system, the relative amount of each dune compound varies with pH. At lower pH levels, CO2 is the predominant species. HCO3 is the predominant species at mid pH levels, and CO3 is present at higher pH levels.
Since RO membranes will reject dissolved ions but not dissolved gases, the RO permeate and RO feed will contain roughly the same amount of CO2. The HCO3 and CO3, however, are often reduced by 1-2 orders of magnitude. This upsets the CO2, HCO3, CO3 equilibrium that was established in the feed. In a series of equilibrium reactions, CO2 will combine with H2O driving reactions similar to that shown below, until a new equilibrium Is established.
CO2 + H2O --> HCO3 + H+
water faucet
To summarize:
The new equilibrium will always result in a lowering of permeate pH if there is CO2 gas present in the feed water.
The pH drop is usually largest for waters with high amounts of alkalinity or HCO3.
When there is very little CO2, HCO3, or CO3, there is a very small pH drop observed in the permeate.
Therefore it is not true that reverse osmosis filters will always reduce the pH level of water to a noticeable amount. The pH difference after the RO depends on the composition of your input water source; depending on whether you have large amounts of gases such as CO2 in your local water supply.
Yea idk what any of that means really lol but so far with my los setup its been working out amazingly and as for my hempy girls i had to adjust the ph altho when I was running my roots organic bottle nutes i didnt adjust the ph at first n they started to suffer so I then adjusted it wrong lol to 7.o n they kept lookn bad till i was told to do the ph to 5.5 and now they been doing great some said i didnt need to ph with my remo nutes but I've been to nervous to try it out since I dnt wana lose any of my girls lolThat is high PH for an RO system.
I thought RO filters always reduced the PH, but I found this explanation online
It still doesn't sound right that your PHis that high.

Well yea just like in veg if u want the roots to grow dry em out and stress em alil to force em to grow to search for water but if u feed em 2 often then the roots won't develop as much as if left unwaterd some timesThis is interesting. I recently purchased some RX Green Solution nutes on eBay, and when they showed up they were the previous formula, made for professional grows in mind, and at half the concentration of the current formula. Ever since I noticed this I began wondering if I'm over feeding.
Cannabis seems to express its best potential when you can keep the plants on the edge, maybe with some controlled stress at particular times in their development. Part of me is wondering if I'm not getting the same terpene expressions I get in soil because the plants are being too pampered, too well fed.
I know that sounds crazy, but does it make sense to anyone other than me?
Hey hempy peeps! Another week, another update. This will be the last one in veg as ive just gotten room in my tent to get my ready-to-flower girls together. My GSC is really bushing out so i gave her undercarriage a light defol in preparation for the flip this week. She will get another touch up when she stops stretching. This is Girl Scout Cookies by Feminised Seed Co at about 5 weeks in pure perlite using AN 3 part pH perfect nutes.
I love my Perfect Sun Dwarf Star and i have added an old Mars Hydro 300 that i had to provide a little extra light.
Happy growing all!
Dam laz lookn good i have the same light two of them actually that i have in my flower tent i so wana get one of there ps cob setups and put that in my flower tent n use one of my dwarf stars for my veg area either way I love those lights ever since I got them my buds have been dense and sticky as hellHey hempy peeps! I'm using remo nutes rite now and the only things I have for veg are micro which is 3-0-1 and then grow which is 2-3-5 and then nature's candy which has no nitrogen in it so I prolly wudnt up that but what about the micro it has 3% nitrate nitrogen maybe up that alil bit maybe sweetsue could chim in here and let me know how she looks compared to the ones she has ranDevils carnival does look a little lime yellow to me. If mine I'd be feeding some Nitrogen.
I have a little deficiencies in my soil clones. Treated them recently with some 4-3-3 organic stuff I'm testing.
