Help: Plant been sick for over a month

Thanks for stopping by Dean. We did some troubleshooting and figured out the issue now, so I guess my ladies are now "fixed" up. It was a bit of malnourishment and poor watering practices. Now I'm just looking to set them up for flower, they are in their 2nd week now :)

@Emilya, it's always a pleasure to have you around. So I can reach the plants no problem, it's draining the little run off that I am concerned about. If the plant is intertwined in the trellis, how could I remove the bottom tray, or the liquid in it? Do you mind explaining a little how the turkey baster may help with this?

EDIT: The moment I finished typing this, I realized what you meant. Suction it out with the baster! Genius!! Sounds like tons of work but my ladies deserve the love lol!
Ha ha. The turkey baster will suck up your run off. You must be really stoned. Lol

I bet Emilya has helped everyone on 420mag either directly or indirectly( like someone just reading her journals) I think she deserves an award! Fr fr. She’s awesome! Good luck bro
Thanks mate! I know... I'd love to mail her some bud for appreciation, but I don't know if it's against the rules AND I'd be doing her a disfavor compared to what she grows

Trellis is going up! Only thing I'm curious about is.... how do you guys water the plant when its all entangled in the trellis? I usually don't get much run off, but even the bit of run off i get i always drain it. I dont know how I could move the bottom tray out if the plant is all entangled in the trellis and I can't lift it up to create the space that allows me to pull the bottom tray away. Any suggestions?? Wet Vac is not an option, no space to store it :(

I’ve attempted a trellis 3 times now and end up taking it down for this very reason . I can’t water my plants nor deal with run off . When you find the answer, let me know , I’d love to know how ya do it without breaking your back ;)

Thanks for the thought, but I don't need or want any reward nor do I want anyone to get in trouble trying to get me one. My satisfaction comes from seeing so many people come to this forum after reading my articles and who are now using my methods and getting great harvests as a result. Just logging into this forum each day and seeing all the mentions of me and my watering method gives me tremendous joy along with the satisfaction of knowing that I have done something good and in my own way, have made the world a better place.

You're too kind Emilya. Thank you for all of your help :)

Turkey basters work wonders I have 6 of them ment for different uses, also a shop vac . I’m glad your back on track now , it’s always stressful when getting over those hick ups. Can’t wait to see how things pan out for you

Just gave Cannabitch her first watering with molasses. Starting to see a bit of frost and growth on the nugs... im not sure if its because of my trellis training, but im surprised how little they've grown vertically since flipping them. I haven't had to adjust the height of my lights, and its been 3+ weeks since flipping.

The turkey baster is testing my patience and perseverance, but I guess it's better than testing my girl's patience with me bringing in yet another thing into our home for my plants

Sorry to say guy but they look pretty sorry for 3 weeks into 12/12.especially considering they are over 2 months old already.
Many people who grow with Leds run into issues for the main reason that they dont run their grow space or grow tent hot enough. When growing with MH/HPS you dont run into this issue because MH/HPS emit a lot of IR radiation in the form of radiant heat which the plants need to maintain an optimal rate of transpiration and therefor growth, rule of thumb, the hotter your grow space is (within limits) the quicker and lusher your plants grow.
Leds dont emit IR radiation in the form of radiant heat like MH/HPS bulbs do so plants under Leds dont transpire at the same optimal rate as those under HID bulbs which leads to problems with nutrient uptake like calmag issues which I am willing to bet my last penny is the problem your plants are suffering from, this is exactly why Led companies like Blackdog and California lightworks recommend people to increase ambient temps in their growtents to around 88° fahrenheit when growing with Leds. I know many people complain about heat issues when growing with HPS bulbs but your plants NEED radiant heat (within limits) to maintain a good level of growth and transpiration, so when growing with Leds run your grow tent hotter than you normally would and you wouldnt have issues with stunted growth and yellowing leaves.

Pretty sure leaf temp is supposed to be around 72-78F with 70-75 percent humidity. kpa1. Need an infrared thermometer to check the leaf temp because it will be lower than the tent temp by a couple degrees I think. I have recently just purchased myself one so I can dial in my VPD.

Ideal ambient temperature is 75° fahrenheit when growing under MH/HPS because the actual leaf temperature under those conditions will be in the middle to high 80's due to the radiant heat given out as IR by the bulbs but because Leds dont give out the same radiant heat as MH/HPS you need to increase ambient temperatures to around 86 - 88° to achieve the same effect.

Easy peasy..... Get a big flat storage bin, put wood blocks underneath it to keep it elevated above the tent floor surface. Also put some kind of grate inside the tub with blocks or spacers to keep the bag slightly elevated above the “floor” of the storage tub. (No girl likes to sit in a wet puddle) After you water the plant remove the wood blocks from under 1 side nearest the door to your tent, then all the water will drain towards you where you can suck it out with turkey baster, super soaker or shop vac. replace the block and shes sitting level again

aww crap my bad I should have read further and went with ..... Yes what Nutty already said

check Home dePot for item called “bucket head” that turns any standard bucket into a shop vac. add a length of garden hose or clear tubing from the plumbing department to a cheapie manual or battery powered siphon pump for watering those hard to reach places @Ghostwriter31

Quick question idk if I asked this , what ppm is that water your watering these girls with, what’s the water source . Just curious because had a situation like that in the past and the end result was mineral salt content in my water source. May be worth looking into , most people have all the right stuff in place but overlook the water source , I changed to distilled water and I haven’t had an issue since .

@aphrodisia thank you for the insightful reply! I can run my room hot, above 80F no problem - will do my best to keep it in the high 80s. I didn't know ambiance temperature needs to differ depending on the light source. This keeps getting more complex. Unfortunately I don't think I will have big yielders.. although I truly wish I did reap more yields from my efforts, I gained (and continue to) a lot of valuable experience.

@013 thank you so much buddy. Nice little crafty suggestion you've provided there hehe. And of course @NuttyProfessor always there on the ball with great insight and tips.

I'm afraid my grow isn't too successful, but we will do what we can. Cannabitch has some budsites where the pistils are brown but the bud hasnt fattened up yet. Most of CB isn't nearly as fat as MJ... and MJ isn't really fat for them being a month old :(
