Help identifying male or female please!

I would. How long after topping it did you switch it to 12/12?

:passitleft:
Um like 3 4 days this is a top shot at a quick glance it look like a bud right?

So based of the top shot and the fact I seen pistils already say a female that slow starting?
It’s either female or hermie (but doubt that). How long after you topped did you flip to 12/12? Like @bobrown14 mentioned if you topped it right before flipping it could slow down it’s development a bit. It looks good now, just watch it grow!

I flipped like 3 4 days after topping it. It responded well to it so I figured it was fine the tops were starting to re grow they really grew when I flipped it

So I topped on the 9th of this month transplanted it the same day the next day I saw preflowers with pistils so I switched it to 12/12 so I flipped two days after topping and transplanting oops!! I didn't realize that until now. I now know why thanks

Reason for the slow starting is the topping.

Think of that top you took off as the plants brain. She has to grow a new one to replace the old one. BEFORE she can do ANYTHING else like say grow flowers.

The reason as I mentioned earlier is that the apical meristem (main stem you cut off) is where the growth hormones go to and come from. Without that "brain" she doesn't know what to do except grow a new one and thats what she is doing. Once that new apical meristem is grown in, she will start flowering much faster and she may even get a little taller.

As plants mature in VEG, they will show pistols coming out of very immature calyx. That's not a pre-flower. That;s the plant growing sexually, like maturing.

Plants are not mature until they show sex and you want to let them get mature before putting them into flower. You can put them in early but they will still need to grow thru the maturity process before they flower.

Top after the 3rd or 4th node early in VEG. After the 3rd or 4th node, you're not helping things grow along.

Yeah that looks good and bushy now. If you top earlier and let her VEG a few weeks, she will get much bigger and you will have larger and more flowers.

Your plant looks healthy and happy. Just give her a little more time to get going. So expect the chop day to be say a week or so longer than the breeder suggests.

Growing headbanger day 33 from seed 10 days from 12/12 I switched it after I noticed preflowers with pistils on my plant now my preflowers are looking kind of maleish put one top shot cause the tops look like buds and the preflowers look maleish lmk asap
Male's tend to grow faster, very symmetrical and blocky. Branches are usually side by side instead of staggered. But best way wait tell you see ball's. Ball's are unopened flowers full of pollen. And male's mature and start making flower balls before females start budding. And hermaphrodites make balls to. Trash them as soon as you see flower balls. Unless you intend to pollinate. Do not pollinate with hermaphrodite! your seeds will produce more hermaphrodites.
