Hello From Ontario Canada

HELP!!! I have a major problem. I am about 4-5weeks flower. My tent is in my attic and the temps were getting kinda high Mid 80s for a couple weeks. then last week we had 3 or 4 days of 90+ . I think I fried the shit out of my girls. I have since moved everything into my garage where the temps max out about 82f, Humidity is still fairly low at 50%. The only other thing different was I had girls outside in direct sun for a few hours twice this week. (never been out). Mary is a lot worse than Jane. Jane is a bit bigger. My nutes have not changed. I use foxburrow trio and calmag. feed about every 4 days abiut 1 1/2 gal . pots are 5 gal pots. always get some run off. PH is always

6.5ish.

Looks like sunburn to me. Sunlight is a lot more intense that electric light, and they probably weren't used to it. I think that is flowering stage, humidity of 40-50% is good. They should be happier in your garage.

I hope you are correct. I thought I was giving them a treat. Lesson learned. Thanks for quick response. I just hope that the bud growth is not affected too much.

I believe that you have to "harden off" any plant that goes from the cushy indoor environment to the brutal realities of outdoors. That can happen in the spring, sheltering them from cool temperatures, providing a wind-break, or easing into the intense sun. Personally, I also worry about taking indoor plants outdoors, and then bringing back in, as they can carry bugs (mites, aphids, etc.) that can take over a tent pretty quickly. I do have plants growing both indoors and out, but I don't move them back and forth, for that reason. They are either "indoor princesses" or "outdoor warriors."

Penny seems optimistic about your plants making it to the finish line, and I would definitely trust his judgement.

We all learn lessons the hard way! :)

They will make it to harvest but that was a lot of heat.
I hope you are correct. I would be devastated if they didn’t because of one stupid mistake so late in the game. Like I said. Jane was not hit as hard as Mary. I am sure she will be ok. Its Mary I am not so sure about. Would harvesting a couple weeks early be an option if she goes down hill for next week or so? Also. i have always given them a daily misting. I never worried about doing it mid time cycle. Is this wise or should I wait till a bit before lights out?

I am not sure about the early harvest so I will let others share their advice on that. On the misting, I do that occasionally as well, but always just at lights-out. The leaves have "pores" (stomata I think they are called) that are open during the daylight, and close up gradually over night. If you mist right at lights out, the leaves can uptake the moisture through those pores. I don't mist earlier in the light cycle, as the droplets of water can burn leaves like a magnifying glass.

That all being said, given you are in flower now, I think you might want to keep humidity down to reduce the risk of mildew. I use misting in the veg stage to help increase humidity and foliar feed, but I wouldn't add humidity to the air once in blossom.

Sorry, rambling a bit, but hope this helps.

Welcome to the community. Those look like they are getting off to a great start!!! Stick with it, be patient, and ask ask ask when you have questions!!!

:welcome:

Could be worse man , solution orientated is the way to be, so just a few questions , how did they look before you moved them ? Have they just been getting worse or are you doing improvements yet ? Is there any way you could set up an ac unit in the attic ?? I know it’s costly but it’s crucial to maintain your environment , I was battling heat aswell in my grow so I move it to the basement , it’s still 28 deg Celsius at canopy level lights on , but 18 when lights are off . But when they were upstairs it was pushing 30 degrees . But root zones need to be cool like 19-21 degrees where you get optimum growth , there are so many factors to a grow and if one is out of whack it’s a nightmare, I know there are a lot of good growers in this family , I hope one of us can come up with something to help you with this , good luck friend

Before the move they were in perfect condition. The 2 days that I put them outside scorched them. Having black cloth pots just made maters worse I later found out. The environment in the bathroom of my shop should be ok for the remainder of the grow. It is well insulated and the tent temperature maxes out at 82 degrees f. Not the best but better than 95f in attic. This being my first grow, I have learned a lot and was doing pretty good until one error in judgement. I will most defiantly do better on the next one. Thx for the reply.
