U got it Sparkey. Please make 420% sure you are mixing things properly OK. Read the instructions over. If you have ANY questions or concerns ask away OK. Remember to use good water also ok.

Quick question
My tap water is under 100ppm and i have a berkley water filter. Would the berkley do the trick you think? I heard thru the hydro store our tap water is

Hay Sparkey @seedlingmtl Just got one of those and he is using it with the kit. I think it is a good filter and will work well. Seedling was also a student of Duggans
 
Hey PC...Sparkey.. :roorrip: ...about that filter, yes, I would feel good about using that water , as long as the chloramine (mostly) and chlorine has been evaped from it. Is that 100ppm , before or after the filter..:roorrip:That is great water ...can u test it after going thru that filter..

Unfortunately, i never tested the tap water. The guy at the hydro store mentioned us having great tap water being under 100ppm.
This is my first run using tap, always used bottled Geyser Spring water from the dollar store.
I would rather used the Berkley if thats a better option.

Ive been watching some of those Docs video clips. How he drenches his potted veg plant in 5 gallon bucket. Really cool stuff.
 
Oh....i would advise you go ahead and get your actual tap water tested. If i may make a suggestion...wat i would do is to wait until the filter is installed...take in two samples..one before the filter, and one after the filter. This will tell you wat you need to know , in order to use tap water. This is the most important thing we put in our soil bud. We need to make sure your not gonna have root issues cuz the water is killing off the micro heard in the soil. Please get it tested. It doesn't cost much and you will find out some valuable info. just my thoughts ...ok... :passitleft:

I will buy a tester now to test my tap water.
Usually i bubble it for 24 hrs before using but my plants really faded fast this time in flowering and that could have been the reason. Water is killing my micros.
Going to go order the ppm meter now from zon

Fashionably late! But I made it!! My notifications have been going all wonky on me... I say this every time, but I really gotta stop relying on my notifications :smokin2:

The baby doctor appointment went well. Everything’s on track and the way it should be. We’ve got a day booked for the cesarian. Life is good!

I should be getting around to harvesting the bakerstreet tonight. Just in time, I opened my last jar of dark Angel this morning... I’m cutting it close. I might just have to go buy some to tie me over!:nervous-guy:

Hey @Opar . Im not @Duggan or the Doc but that small doc kit should get you through the Neville Haze run. @PCaddict had the smaller kit, he should have a good idea if it will last.

Thats really cool you are going to join us. :high-five:How many beans are you going to drop in July. I heard she gets really big, so she needs plenty of space..

I ran out of two things from the small kit with this grow. I ran out of Trans plant drench and Tea. You may want to pick up the bigger bottles of that. My grow I am doing now is only a 9 week flowering strains and I ran out so I think you will need more of those. I also needed Snake Oil and didn't have it so that would be something else I would go ahead and get. You can also wait to see how it goes and if you see you are starting to run low order it then. It cost me a little more to buy the individual bottles instead of the large kit but that's how I had to do it. I ended up getting the other bottles over the course of a month or so.

I would probably get the bigger bottles of Trans plant and Tea. If you can swing it get the Snake Oil too. Just my 2 cents worth. Duggan would know better then me so maybe he will chime in.

I also think it is GREAT we are getting others to use Docs system. and that others will be joining in on the Nevilles Haze grow with us, Duggan is going to have his hands full for that grow with all us Newbs
 
With the small kit and the NH grow.....the flower time is way longer, so there is a pretty good chance you will run out of something. Depending where you are....(USofA?) and how long it takes to get the package, you could just wait until you start getting low and order a few bulk bottles of the ones you are needing. They usually ship fast enough that it isn't a huge deal. If you plan on sticking with the kit.....just order up the full bulk kit when you can afford to. It is most definitely worth it in the long run.

I do not think Snake Oil is necessary for the NH grow. Snake oil was designed as a supplement for salt loving (hydro) OG type Frankenstrains that are heavy feeders. Sativas like NH should be perfect for a first run soil and shouldn't be such a heavy feeder.....therefore should have no need for the SO. If money isn't an issue, go ahead and grab it so you have it when you need it.....but if you want to get through the NH grow on a budget, I would hold off.....but that is just me.

Yeah, this filter doesn't strip the water like RO. It isn't coming out pure H20, it only removes the bad stuff. Pretty sure it leaves salts and minerals intact, so you should keep that in mind when looking at ppm. Without getting into scientific jargon....It will remove all the bad stuff, and leave the good stuff.
