Heirloom's A Little Bit Of Everything - 2016 Journal

Opening the buds up looking for seeds certainly fluffed it up. I'm sure there's a few more seeds in there. I'll find them eventually. One is already loose in the jar.

I gifted about 4 grams + it's seeds to a neighbor. He was amazed and happy. Didn't know what to think when I told him all the seeds would be female.

I know I told you next update would be outdoor, Buckshot, but it's been brutal hot and the girls are not the happiest. We need need to catch them in the AM before the sun hits 'em. Hope the heat breaks soon. They could use a break.

How your girls coping with the heat? Taco shells waiting for filling?

A few folded. Some just went a bit limp, similar to over water, but I know it's not true. One plant, the bagseed cross from last year is just loving it. Both plants used to make that seed were bred outdoors for generations, one here and the other in So Cal. So it makes sense that it's doing so well. Most of these 'boutique' strains are carefully cultivated in a warehouse or climate controlled greenhouse, and for generations. They adapt to it. So they don't make the best outdoor plants sometimes. I'm hoping to narrow down a few good outdoor strains or make some crosses that are adapted for outdoor life in my enviro. Will take a few seasons minimum.

:Namaste:

Yeah there's a definite difference in outdoor girls than warehouse breed.. Locals down here say that beans have taken a month off flowering time in last 30 years.. Everything is adaptable isn't it...

Wow! Those are some healthy-looking seeds Heirloom! Why is it the seeds we pay through the nose for are whispy, sad-looking little bits? Every single seed I have that was home-grown presents as superior to those grown "professionally".

The heat's been stupid high and humid here too. Haven't been able to open up the windows for days now. I'm on the third floor in an urban neighborhood. Lots of brick and concrete to hold the heat. We all need a respite.

Haven't been here in a few myself. Oh yeah.... The tents! :laughtwo: I almost forgot. Lol! Just waking up. Good morning Heirloom.

Everything in nature is designed to adapt in some way. It has to.

Just came in from picture taking. It's freaking sad that I'm tuckered. I didn't even take all the pics. Outdoor pics in the next hour or so.

A very good morning to ya Heir and friends...been very busy with life these past couple weeks, so havn't been around much. Hope your re-hab is going well my friend . Your garden looks splendid Heir...have a great day would ya! Cheers.:circle-of-love:

'Morning duggan! Life happens to all of us, we all understand. Re-hab is #$*^ing re-hab. Scheduled torture sessions with self induced torture in between. I'm developing a real dislike for my arm. Leg is not that bad except for pressure points. And I've just about had it with the clam shell.

Attempting trimming the other day was frustrating. After I got pissed and threw in the towel I sat and brooded for a while. All I could think about was Edward Scissorhands. But even that would be hard because with out the radius, ulna and wrist, there is no twist. So it got my brain thinking about foot operated controls in heavy equipment. A special 'trimming attachment'. A rotatory bud holder controlled by a foot switch. It holds the stem and can spin, right hand can do the scissor work.

Then I came back to reality a figured I would probably end up buying an auto trimmer.

Have a great day brother!

'Morning Sue.

Because seeds grown professionally are for profit and rushed. And I have a feeling they grade their seeds like we do and keep/use the best for themselves, selling the 'B' grade or even lower to us. We, on the other hand, care about the outcome beyond a buck and will let the plant finish. Rarely have I received an 'A' seed from a vendor.

But that's cool. I took one B seed and made 350+ A seeds, untold amounts of bud, clones for friends and still have that original plant going in clone form...so I can make more original batches. Not bad for 1 B grade seed.

Thank you for the reps!

Have a joy filled day!

I can't even stand to leave the house...:thedoubletake: I don't remember it ever being this hot...:trance:...:circle-of-love:

Hi-ya D! Thanks for wandering over here, nice to see you out more and more.

Thankfully my new AC is kicking butt! Unfortunately my AC is kicking butt on the humidity too and buds dry QUICK! And the tents are low in humidity.

But it's 75 in the house, even when it's 103 out side. Best temp differential I've seen in a house like this.

Throwing some your way bro. One of my favorite journals. Keepin it real and really keeping it. True that on the plants adapting. Sometimes I think it's the plants that are raising us, not the other way around! All 3 of my girls are in day 27 of over 100 degree temps. 101 in the greenhouse, 108 outside! And they're doing better than me! I hear so much about temps and plants that I'm almost afraid to start an indoor grow. lol... almost.... But with a total Hip replacement and massive arthritis, it's inevitable! ...

Good morning Heirloom...
I was in the garden last night spraying the plants with pesticide because I have something that is eating my candy kush and found this last night by the eggplant. I sprayed it of couse but found another one in the bucket with the candy kush...Susan...this morning. This time I sent it to bug heaven. What is it?

Be back with pictures

These were all captured this morning right around sunrise, so they still have sleep in their eyes....

Here is a Blue Dream. This is an original seed plant, not a clone like all the others. So until it's budded out and judged, it's BD-P2. P2 for Potential Pheno 2. If it proves the same, then it's clones and seeds will get lumped into P1.

This is Cali Bagseed X (WWxBlueberry). This is the one soaking up the Sun/heat like a Wahini on the beach. Also the one that suffered the broken branch, which never skipped a beat it seams.
