Fer fek sake I grew up fishing those rivers and every little creek in between.we have great trout rivers in arizona. lee's ferry is excellent for rainbow. a rod, a joint and the colorado river is a good day. hopefully it won't run dry in a couple of years.
i think the valley of the sun is doomed (PHOENIX) so many people, so little water and more people come every day. CaLIFORNIaNS FOR FUCKS SaKE...CaLIFORNIaNS.
when it comes to a head, i'm hoping to be living in a cold weather state or province.
i remember seeing frozen trout (i think) floatiang down some little creeks/cricks around london or toronto during winter. funny that i can still see the fish floating down the crick/river but don't remember where. maybe up around orangeville. years later i found out the little beauties were alive, and unfreeze. nature eh?
And just this morning I was telling Stacey about Mead lake and the problems with the Colorado River.
I'd love to fish it, it's one of those top 5 places I dream about fishing.
Unfortunately I can't see us reversing global warming and these cold creeks with trout will be a memory .
I'd love to know how you ended up in Toronto fishing and what year?
You try the Credit, Bronte creek, Wilmot creek, Humber River forks of the Credit, Ganaraska river, Bowmanville creek and of course the Natawasaga.
All within a quick drive of my house growing up.
The only acceptable excuse for skipping school was trout fishing.
And you better bring back a stringer as proof.
Trout fishing was like a religion growing up.
Talk soon.
Stay safe
