Heavens Shores - Bill's 2022 Grow: Come Meet Howie! Show Us Your Grow Too - Bring A Pic

Part 2

Too tall solo cup

to

2 Gallon bag

Screenshot_20220629-100323_Chrome.jpg

This girl G.M.O. grew too tall in her solo
I'll have to bury her deeper than usual
I'll have to make a false top to the pot
This will ensure proper watering
( PAY ATTENTION TO THE DIFFERENCE )
Water must always flow to the
outside edge for proper watering

Screenshot_20220629-100326_Chrome.jpg

Always in layers
Thinner layers at the bottom of the pot
Increase the thicknesses of your
layers as you rise in the pot
Increased thickness will encourage rapid
root growth at the top of the pot
This way the solo will expand immediately looking for water

Screenshot_20220629-100333_Chrome.jpg

The secret to huge healthy roots

Screenshot_20220629-100338_Chrome.jpg

I'm using very very mild nutrients
and superthrive to mist with
I usually add B1 aswell

Screenshot_20220629-100346_Chrome.jpg

Don't go any thicker than 1/2"
for your first layer of soil
You want thinner layers at the bottom
As you rise in the pot thicker
layers of perlite will encourage
immediate root expansion

Screenshot_20220629-100353_Chrome.jpg

Important to have a thicker layer of perlite
under the root ball

Sprinkle @DYNOMYCO
directly onto your roots for maximum
protection for your roots

Sprinkle Bokashi Frass & @DYNOMYCO
directly under the root ball aswell
Mist to activate

Screenshot_20220629-100645_Chrome.jpg

Don't miss an opportunity when your roots are accessible

Always add @DYNOMYCO
directly to your roots for best results
The younger the better

Sprinkle Bokashi & Frass aswell

Mist to activate

Screenshot_20220629-100648_Chrome.jpg

Cover your buried rootball in a
thick layer of perlite
Sprinkle again
Mist again

Screenshot_20220629-100656_Chrome.jpg

@DYNOMYCO
Is effective on young roots

Now ready to start adding more soil

You mean herbivores... do you (sorry imagine a question mark here, my keyboard has decided its French now and appears to be preventing me from changing it back to being the standup anglophile she used to be.) I`ve been thinking about raising rabbits and wondering how I could get them some fresh things during the winter at low to no cost.... I cant believe I never thought of this....
Aye, Alas the piggies are herbivores, the cats however not so much hehe. XD

Speaking of a rabbit my neighbor ig had a bunny in his backyard in a cage as his daughters pet (like wtf why) the bunny got out it was filthy had chunks of it’s ear missing it was sad to see. We went to grab it but then suddenly realized it’d be better not to but if you release domesticated rabbits they usually don’t have any of the instincts wild ones do and most likely won’t make it. Lose-lose situation.

But yeah I think cannabis leaves and stems given all the nutrients should last them winter and whatever stuff extra you produce you can freeze and dish it out slowly over winter aswell.

Fill the outer edge one last time with perlite
Cover with a thin layer of soil
Pushing it into the outer crease
Now it's time to feed
I'm using top quality @Remo Nutrients

When you feed it automatically runs to the outside edge

Team Work

Screenshot_20220629-105447_Chrome.jpg

Make sure you reform your hump
and moat after you water

Don't be afraid to reform your hump
and moat at any point
during your grow

In the final pot you can
let it level on its own eventually

But until then keep your moat
for best results

Ready for the garden

Bill284 Method completely
adaptable to any pot

Works in anything you
use to grow with Coco Soil BX.........

Try at least one pot on your next grow
Don't you want big healthy roots

Now you have everything

I can’t wait for my second ‍run
I have all of your guides saved and im sure my new plants will be happier..
Thank you for being so awesome..
Without your help my plants would have been dead long time ago.. probably eaten by bugs but your great support helped me get trough most issues and I felt much safer once you came around to help, Bill..

Thanks

Isn't kelp extract a source of manganese?
Hey Melville! Sorry for the late reply - it drowned among other notfs.

But yes, Kelp, at least Ascophyllym nodosum, is very rich in all trace minerals.
Adding Kelp (even if it would be rich in Mn only) prob won't change the Fe:Mn ratio much.
I guess tha ratio is important to maintain in hydro.

Thanks Verb. :ciao:
So seeing as the chart I have is in gallons my mix was not exactly accurate.
What do you recommend for cal mag..ml/l micro..ml/l grow..ml/l VELOKELP..ml/l or per 10 litres if that's easier.
Hope your doing well Amigo

Hey my amigo!
Sorry I was two pages behind and just saw the post.
So according to your plants current size I'd start off with 1ml/L CalMag, Micro, Grow & Velo (and if some of them are already in flower you could just mix up a separate batch and switch Grow to Bloom)
Idea in all simplicity is keep them always in 1:1 and the ratios will be fine.

If you happen to have any Mg source eg. epsom or Remo's Nature Candy you could try to leave CalMag out and start from 1.5ml/L micro, grow velo etc.
Working your dose up to 1.5-2ml/L seem to be a good ’all rounder’ range.
If you later on go much over 2ml/L of Bloom & Astroflower then you might run into lockouts due excess amount of K and or P.

Thanks so much Verb. :thanks:
Guess I should check my own thread more often.
One auto is in flower but I'm giving her Geoflora Bloom and water.
Actually burnt one of the babies in a solo giving the 2 ml dose.
I switch back now.
I've got the supercharged kit, it does come with the Astroflower and Nature's Candy so I'll be careful with those ratios.
Appreciate the help.
Hope your having a great day my friend. :yahoo:

Hey bill good morning sir.. I'm sure you have already covered the perlite on top lesson....but can I please ask why? Is it to keep the top from pooling when watering after a long dry period and the top goes semi hydrophobic?

Quick question for ya @Bill284.
Hope all is well your way sir and everything is
Nice and green and lots of sun!
When I make my plant food in gallon batches
Does it go bad let’s say if I only use a 1/3 of it and put the rest up for the next feeding?
Hey Daniel :ciao:
One day usually isn’t a problem.
What happens when it sits the salts fall out and drive up the ph.
Just double check your ph the next day.
Stir well and you will be fine.
Take care.

Hey Hap congrats Mucker , nice pic.
I run a ring in the moat on the outside to induce water flow to the edges of the pot.
A little extra perlite on top helps when the soil hardens ( hydrophobic ).
The perlite encourages vigorous root growth inside the pot as well.
I’m going to run a couple pots that I can open and show root structure.
I’ll do it in conjunction with the DYNOMYCO root show.
Air pots and bags with an opening.
It’ll be interesting.
Hope your enjoying your day.

Damn @Bill284, now you’re displaying some very advanced journal skills. EXCELLENT TUTORIAL IN PICS!!!! Never seen you go all out on a journal before, this is amazing.
