Good luck saving as much as you can BIll. At this point, can you bring them in the house to dry off, even without the lights? It may give you some time to get them all chopped.
Thanks @LKABudMan :ciao:
I had to dump 5 or 6 completely and salvaged what I could from the rest.
That cold snap got me.
Closing the vents drove up the rh.
I'll know better next year. ;)
Have a great day my friend.

Bill it looks like you have got some great bud there. You have a choice to focus and rejoice in what you’ve got or get twisted over what you haven’t got. Choose wisely coz it impacts your smiles for today.

My granny always used to say, the best way to get over a man is to get under another. Gran was really quite the hoe. But if you apply this to growing, dust yourself off and get under another grow.

And well done. It has been great riding in the sidecar watching your triumphs and tests. Xo
That's what I said to Stacey.
We threw out half a Northern Lights, huge girl , moldy on top.
I said it's half a plant more then we had yesterday. :thumb:
It's all good T thanks so much for the encouragement and kind words.
After what happened last year I'm pretty far ahead.
Lots of positive stuff happening. ;)
I've no complaints at all.:cheesygrinsmiley:
Hope your doing well T I've been so busy I'm way behind on your threads.
Have a great day @Trala :ciao:

That's a bit savage Bill, wasn't expecting that
Hope the salvage plan works out for you fella
Thanks @Roy Growin :ciao:
I salvaged what I could and dumped acfew.
My first time with bud rot.
I've battled everything else , there had to be something I missed .
Hope your well my friend.
Take care.

I lost a good chunk to rot myself, not only in lost buds but also in lost bud maturity from an early chop. Don't let it stress you big dog, crops come and go, and you can always plant more!
Thanks for the encouragement @RedskinnedRhino :ciao:
I saved what I could and I'm moving on with a smile. :cheesygrinsmiley:
I'll be jarring soon, that's a win in my book. :thumb:
Sorry to hear you were hit too.
Hope you doing well Amigo.
Take care

Hi Bill,
I'm so sorry to see the rot and the loss after all of your hard work. Once the rot takes hold it can be brutal.

Enjoy what you can salvage. Take care. :ganjamon:
:passitleft:
Thanks @stinker :ciao: your 100 % right.
It's a sneaky bugger.🤪
I thought I got it but it's so far inside you'll never spray in there.
Live and learn.
There is always something new to deal with.
I got a harvest so I'm good.
Hope your doing well my friend.

Chop Nivek. Now. This is from a fellow BC grower with lots of outdoor experience. Now Niv, chop now. The diminishing returns factor is so high now even in the dry due to overnight temps, and radically declining light . In these conditions the plants stall out the ripening process, making the grower hem and haw, and it ends up taking us by the ear into a rainfall, after which all buds could be lost in 24hrs and you never saw it coming. They get 'rained on' every night with a dewpoint anyway. Chop. Now. Not exaggerating.
I agree @ReservoirDog .
I was busy for 2 days chopping.
When I checked the back corner of the greenhouse it was gutted.
2 days and it went rampant.
It's right inside the buds, you'll never see it coming.
From a couple spots to complete loss that quick.
It doesn't fek around, it's serious stuff.
Heed the warning @nivek :ciao:
Take care.

Ugh the big bad mould, we always have to harvest premature in the outside greenhouse, truly finishing is never an option as the biggest fattest juice buds will be lost to mould if one waits too long.
But I'm thinking with the size of the operation and all the flavours you had going you're still golden, we've had years where we had to trash most of whole plants as well and still ended up with more than enough buds till next time.

So yes anyone encountering it, save what's there immediately as the problem with mould is the stage where you can visually identify it is the late stage and theres more that's getting infected you just can't see yet.

Mornin Bill. Sorry your hair caught fire. lol. It always looked on fire anyway, maybe no one will notice. My heart aches to see the carnage and leaps to see the RSO tray. Must be glad to have a new grow room happening now! Do you have all the major pieces of equip on hand etc? Dont worry about replying, for real I can wait. Thanks for sharing all of this the whole time. It's been really (really) special. (Yo Howie! S'up Dog?!)
Good morning @ReservoirDog :ciao: the fire is out.
Just dealing with the mess now.
I've caught up, only 1 left and she is warm and dry.
Equipment for the new room , mmmm.:nerd-with-glasses:
I've got a ton of new lights and some fans.
Everything else will come in time.
I'm hoping @VIVOSUN will sponsor it.:thumb:
I'm impressed with their equipment.
But I need insulation and heat it there first.
And budgetary concerns have ground progress.
I'll tell you now what's going on.
Stacey's company has been bought out.
Her store she opened and made 2 million the first year, 4 Russian dudes walk in yesterday and told her it's ours now.
We had an idea but it was a big shock to her.
We don't know what's going to happen.
They are the biggest company in Ontario with tons of stores.
Half her staff actually came from them.
Quit because of working conditions and moral, came to work for Stacey and loved it.
Now they are scared to death what will happen.
Plus they already have a district manager for this region.
So where does that leave Stacey.
Either way these dudes scared her to death so even if there is a position for her there is going to be that going forward.
She was very close with the previous owner and the news has completely gutted her.
It's been a rough few days.
Real rough.
I'm trying to harvest in the middle of this turmoil.
Trying to comfort her and chop at the same time.
Life is funny that way sometimes.
I told her it's going to lead to bigger and better things for her.
It's an opportunity either move up or move on to somewhere else that you will like.
There are lots of opportunities up here.
It's not like last summer when we were 4 hours away.
We are here we have a house everything is ok ,she can take some time and find something.
She isn't as good with change though or the unknown.
We are opposites that way.
So it's been a crazy here the last little bit.
I need about 3 grand in materials to finish the growhouse.
That's a hard sell right now.
So I'm doing what I can and moving forward.
I'll figure something out.
If she doesn't have a job $ 3000.00 will pay some bills , so it's not easy to spend that now.
Once things fall into place we can get back on track.
But in the mean time I'm just taking things one day at a time.
Let the chips fall where they may and I'll scoop em up don't worry.
After last year this is nothing, a little hiccup.;)
Nose down ass up right. :thumb:
Talk soon my friend.
Take care.

I agree RD! That apple betty is sweet!
Hey Scott she is amazing.
I've grown purple before but she is beyond that.
Pure heaven to look at.
Broke my heart to chop ger.
But I manicured everyone of her buds.
They are incredible, took me forever but it didn't matter.
They are perfect.

Apple Freeken Betty , hehe. :ciao:
