Heavenly Hybrid 2nd Grow: Blackberry Kush, Coco Grow, LED450

Opinions please - my supercrop looks like a bruise at the bend site. Too much super in my crop?

Well, I apparently can’t upload any photos right now. But it’s a dark color right at the bend. The rest of the stem looks fine so far and the top is facing up, towards the light. I’ll try to post a pic again later. :(

If the super crop was done well there will be a knuckle that forms or a “kink” so to speak that will begin to scale or (produce bark). This happens the lower portion of your plants stalks as they grow and become more durable. At the supercrop point that section becomes harder and begins protecting itself from being a weak spot by increasing dexterity at the bend.

If the top of your supercrop has rebounded then I wouldn’t be worried at all. If it was limo and facing the floor well then I would be worried. But from the sounds of it you had a healthy supercrop and your plant is responding to it! Here is a supercrop from my EM monster lady showing colour and scaling. I’ve also included another picture from my EM1.1 that shows lower scaling on the plants stalk and up into a break from earlier on in Veg!

I hope this helps HH

Thanks gents. I panicked a little after looking at Dutch’s pics. After closer inspection, the 1st and 3rd pic shows the one I’m concerned about. It is so floppy, I added a little piece of electrical tape. Bah, I’m feeling totally insecure about everything right now! Second guessing everything, grow mojo is low. I’m just going to stay out of my tents and water only for a while!

Update-
Finally starting to recuperate a bit, so I can actually get into the big tent for a minute. It was moving day for Mystery Auto (day 39). She is with her auto kin now, and I’m hoping she will bring some positive energy from the success tent into the 4x4.

The 4 autos (day 25) have been through hell and look like they’re coming out the other side now. Had some too wet of coco droops, had some pH issues, and apparently some too early training stunting, I am really struggling with autos so far! But I keep on plugging along. I was thinking of un-bending them, but they seem to be acclimating already. I’m so worried to stunt them any further, so I’m thinking I will leave them. I tied down a fan leaf or two to get light and air on the nodes. Lol, I think it’s for the best that I can’t really get in there. Helps protect them from me! :laughtwo:

Jack #2 took it pretty poorly too. This angle doesn’t show it well, but this one has some nice new growth coming in.

And in the smaller tent, the Blackberry Kush #1&2 (BBK #1 - day 72 veg) (BBK #2 - day 39 veg)
These ladies will soon be flipped to 12/12 :cheesygrinsmiley: yay!
BBK #2 will be 6 weeks on Saturday, so that will be flip day.

Alittle tlc and they will be perfect! Do you find the overall yield is better with the 5 gallon compared to the 3 gallon pots?
:welcome: Cmoney! This is my first time using 3 gal, so stay tuned!

The BBKs look great! Is there a lot of undergrowth on #1 that's still covered? If so, now would be the time to take a few leaves to get them the light.

The new growth on the autos looks good so they're probably past their darkest days :).
I need to water her today and she’s been a bit neglected lately. I’ll pull her out and try to fiddle around some. :thanks:

Man, I hope so Shed, I’m not very interested in another 1/8th per plant harvest... :eye-roll:

I’ve been a busy little bee, so have a seat and get comfy for this update.

To start - I reconfigured the exhaust fans in the small tent and got a smaller fan to place in there. Because it’s smaller and lighter, I was able to hang the carbon filter inside the tent. I feel like a grown up now - like when you get a real bed and don’t just keep the mattress on the floor anymore. ;)

I wanted to get everything dialed in before flipping to 12/12. Now that that is done, I went ahead and flipped the small upstairs tent and at 75 days old, Blackberry Kush #1 is finally going into flower!

Which brings us to BBK #2 - that sneaky ass little b...
I’ve been holding off on flipping because I wanted BBK #2 to reach the 6 week mark before flip. Low and behold, the surprise autos just keep on surprising...

Pistils showing at 6 weeks. So this sneaky B was moved downstairs to the big tent.

I checked my light schedule and I’ve never seen the lights out when they’re supposed to be on. The big one isn’t starting to flower, is there any possibility that the small one isn’t an auto? Is there anything that would make it start to flower other than a shorter light schedule? I’d just hate to move it down to the 24 hour light tent if she isn’t an auto. Whatever, I’m happy to be done with the 5 mystery seeds and everyone is in their final spots. I just hope the rest of the seeds I got from this place are legit. Moving on!

On Valentine’s Day I dropped another bean. OG Kush auto, it’s only been a couple of days, so she hasn’t popped out to say hello yet, I’ll keep watching.

I recalibrated my pH pen. I’m not sure how far off it was, but I think it was off by ay least 1 full point, maybe more. Ummm big fat duh, definitely not helping the struggles I’ve been having with the 4 autos. I’ll be sure to check and calibrate much more often from here on.

And here are the autos!

These photos were from yesterday, and already this morning, they are showing some nice new growth. Hopefully they can survive my - trial by extreme error ways. I continue to learn and will improve as we go along.
I just can’t believe that small BBK is a surprise auto too. I said I would embrace the mystery and the mystery has not stopped surprising me. o_O All I can say is I’m SO glad Mr. Hybrid picked a bigger tent for the 2nd one. Even though we didn’t know it, we certainly needed it!

That’s the news in my little neck of the woods. Happy Gardening :ciao:

Hi HH!

I’m not sure about the auto-photo thing. I think certain stressors can make a photoperiod plant flower even in long light periods (what is your veg period set to?).

If it is an auto - there is no harm leaving it in the veg tent. If it’s not an auto then it might reveg if you leave it - but it might not. The only reason to move it, so far as I can think, would be if you’re sure it’s a photo and you want to keep flowering it. At 6 weeks those flowers would indicate a very slow auto I think. An auto would usually have started to flower 2-3weeks ago and be much further along by now, usually... But these seeds you’ve had don’t seem to be usual so it’s hard to know. And I guess it could be a long vegging auto. Anyway - that’s all i’ve got for you on that question. My indoor experience is minimal. I know weenmeoff had some photoperiods that initiated flower while still in the veg tent and I’m not sure he ever worked out what caused it - he just flowered them out.

I’ll tell you what tho’ - the BlackBerry Kush #1 is looking fabbo! Bring on the flowers!

Here is my mother 2.0 to my original bagseed. She is about 8-9 months old. I have her under a 24 watt light at an 16-8 schedule. She still grows 6" a week and appears healthy except for her small leaf size. I have been trying to keep her growing slow until I take some clones. She has had these preflowers for 3 months now. They haven't really changed.

I thought it may be of interest. I do wonder if her clones would reveg.

Interesting stuff @Amy Gardner and @Virgin ground! These plants are so amazing, but also crazy. I’ve had the BBK #2 in the auto tent since Sunday morning (so about 36 hours) and it has a 24/0 schedule right now. Before I moved it, it was vegging at the 18/6 schedule, but that tent is now flipped to a 12/12. BBK #2 looks like she’s doing okay in there so far. (If she is an auto, her name will become tricky B). Her buds are looking like they’re increasing. I’ll take some photos of her tomorrow. The only stress that could even be a possibility was a Tony amount of ambient light from the screen on my exhaust fan. But it would’ve been exposed to that the whole time, and I did try to take care for the screen to face away from any tent opening. It was growing so beautifully the whole time, I can’t imagine it was under stress without me seeing? It’s a real puzzle for me. Preston said he’s had autos take 6 weeks to show before, so I’m guessing that’s what’s happened? No clue really though. I’ll jist keep watching for her to show signs of stress or something in the 24 hour light.

Sorry to get here so late! I want to start by posting a picture of Pt's auto at 51 days, or 7+ weeks. Not a pistil in sight:
full

The next thing that came to mind in regards to VG's mother plant showing pistils and never flowering is that my some of my older clones do that as well (meaning clones off my older vegging plants). No idea why but It's almost like they're exercising their pistil-making capacity. This is a pic of my next Sour G that's been under 24/0 since I cut it a month ago...check out all the pistils! But the plant has been alive for 14 months:

I agree with Amy that you might as well leave it where it is and see what happens. If it's an auto it's in the right spot and if it's a photo it might reveg or it might not, but either way it should keep growing!

Last thing...the LST looks great! No matter what the plants do or how big they get, the training is spot on.

Congrats on the flip...hope it's going to be a beast for you :).
