Seed drop alert!

In preparation for the upcoming 4x4 tent completion, today was seed drop day! #projectchaos begins as I attempt to hold on by the seat of my pants.

Seeds dropped:
3 Bubblegum auto - 50 indica/50 sativa
2 Jack Herer auto - 40 indica/60 sativa

I also got some additional tent supplies ordered, so things are really starting to shape up around here

We did a group grow of JH autos last spring (mine was a dud but I stuck around for the banter!). Van Stank grew the most impressive one and he loves the smoke if you needed any encouragement to push through the chaos .

Hello, hello! It’s been a bit since I made an update, so here’s some pics from today and yesterday.

Real Blackberry Kush (45 days)

She is starting to smell so good already. Anytime I adjust the ties, or pluck some leaves, it really smells like sweet, sweet blackberry. Looking forward to the smells yet to come.


“Tall” mystery auto (46 days since sprout - 20 days since first pistils)

She’s growing some decent little (almost) golf balls, I’m setting expectations low, so I’m already pleasantly surprised with ~a month to go still.


“Short” Mystery auto (45 days since sprout - 20 days since first pistils)

Expectations are low and staying low on this one. Love is being lost on her, but still, she stays.


Mystery seeds 1&2 (12 days since sprout)

No news on the auto seeds yet. I’m hoping to see some heads starting to pop out tomorrow. (fingers crossed!)

I think the Mystery autos will go at least 90 days from seed. Interesting looking plants, bud formation seems normal. Only time will tell. Time is our greatest commodity for sure. I am glad the seed company did you right. Other plants look great, your thumbs are green like it or not! Cheers!

Aw, thanks Wally! I was guessing about mid-end of February, so that would be right on target. They really did take care of me on that, and then some. I just got my replacement seeds earlier this week and I have so many friggin seeds, I feel like I’m stocked up for a year or two! #seedrich

The youngsters look great as does the Raspberry. And I think you should do some leaf tucking on the "tall" auto to uncover the buds hiding under those big fans.

Thanks Shed, I have been a bit when it’s under the light. I’ve been rotating them all a quarter turn or halfway. Then I try to part the upper leaves for direct light on the lower buds. Not so easy with the short one, but I try. Do you think I should tie them back? I’ve been being as gentle as I can with them.

I should call it the Scooby Doo grow, and the tent can be the Mystery Machine!

If you go to mars hydro website, they have a super search function with tent size and it will tell you what light power you need

Day late update:
4 of the 5 seeds have sprouted (yesterday). I opened up the pod for the Bubblegum auto that didn’t sprout and it had nothing happening. I put it in some water to see if I can get anything, but I’m not holding out much hope. My first seed to not germinate

I am assembling the second tent and equipment. I bought the same LED light I already have (450w) thinking I would put them both in my bigger tent eventually. But now that it’s here, I feel like I made a mistake and I should’ve sprung for a bigger light. Between the surprise autos looking so small and stunted every day, the seed that isn’t sprouting and the too small of light for my 4x4 tent, I’m not feeling super great about my growing ego. Maybe it’s just some winter blues? I dunno, upward and onward. On the positive side, I was gifted a magical butter machine and I’m so excited to put it into action!! Now I just need some more weed to use in it! Happy Sunday all!

It's an emotional roller coaster for new growers. I went through the same thing. Everything will be fine and you are doing a great job. Maybe hold off on the second tent for this grow and concentrate on the one tent. Put both lights in the one as you mentioned and get things dialed in, build some more confidence and experience, and blow 'em away next run.

Keep your head up girl! Your thumbs are green, DEAL WITH IT! Sometimes we have to do the best with what we have. Plants are just like us, ups and downs. You've already shown you care for them. Don't beat yourself up, the plants will thrive under your supervision!

A while ago, I saw a video of a speech given by a general (I think), and in it he said, “make your bed every day.” If you haven’t seen it, you should (youtube it), but it really resonated with me. The point of it, was that small successes build momentum and lead to bigger successes. I loved that message, and today I put it into action. I’ve been putting off repotting the blackberry kush quad, but tonight I put on my big girl boots and got the coco ready, repotted and added more tie downs to really get her quad on again. I’m feeling the shift in momentum already, and much better about my grow. One seed didn’t pop, but four did. I read Mr. Sauga’s suggestion to scale back and had a strong ‘no’ reaction, (thank you @MrSauga!) which made me know I love this and I can do it. Pity party time is over and I appreciate knowing that the ups and downs of learning to grow, gets to more people than just me. I’m excited for tomorrow, because I have more work to do. Building more momentum pics coming too! #latenightlongstonedpost

You know you can grow because we've all seen it here! Speaking of things generals say, one of them said something like "You go to grow with the equipment you have, not the equipment you might want or wish to have at a later time."

I think your doing great HH and with the seedlings to your new quadline it clearly shows they are all doing well! You got to harvest number 1 and it’s only going to get better!
