Well how nice to have post 3K dedicated to the greatest Candida harvest I will have in my lifetime.
Hello grow buddies, I’ve been a busy bee again. I decided to dry the candidas in the 4x4 tent, so that meant I needed to find a home for Afghani for the next few weeks while she finishes. I had to reconfigure lots of items lights/fans/hygrometers, all of which stresses me out. I don’t like messing with the environments once I have them dialed in. But I did it anyway and Afghani is now living in the 3x3.
Ugh, I know she’s painful to look at, but it’s the reality. Not all plants make it through to harvest pristine, and that’s ok.
I gave her a plain water and feed, I
think the damage has stopped progressing, but it’s hard to say without waiting and comparing pics later. She’s got about 2-3 weeks left to go, I’m guessing.
And now....
~ Candida fields forever ~
One last look before they go!
Taking the candidas down was a bit of a cluster-f. I was able to take them out of the net one at a time, so that was good. But not one stem was able to hold itself upright, they all flopped so hard! So we had to hang them up to remove the fan leaves.
One down (up?)
And another (she broke in two cutting her down)
We did that again... and again... and then it was friggin bedtime. I was already beat just from removing the fans. We made it though 4/6 and I checked with VG about leaving fans on for the last two. After I got the thumbs up, I chopped and hung those babies!
To the left, to the left
To the right
Everybody!
The girls down low are the two plants I didn’t remove any fans from - those also broke apart a little during harvest.
And that’s a wrap on the Candida harvest! I was originally hoping to keep each plant whole and see who ended up heaviest, but it just wasn’t feasible. Now I’m just hoping they dry well and I’d be so, so happy if I end up with a lb. We’ll see!
I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe!
Post 3K, out!
