Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Yeah for Mango Kush! So happy for you that she made an appearance! All the other little ones are looking great! Early congrats on the upcoming harvest, the trim bag will make life a lot easier. I keep thinking I should look into something to take some of the work out of trimming, maybe one day but I keep spending my grow budget on other things lol.
Thanks N!! You know, it was really hard to spend that money. It’s a lot. But now that I’ve had it for two harvests, I’m really glad to have it. It cuts trim time to 1/4 of hand trimming.
Let’s math!! 7 plants, 3 hours of trimming each (low estimate) = 21 hours of trimming. Even if mr h helped the whole time, 10.5 hours just isn’t possible with two kids (you know!!) It’ll still take a while with the bag, but you get the idea. Mr h broke it down to an hourly wage vs how many hours you spend trimming and I was sold.
:adore: Queen of Kush!

When you break it down that way it makes a lot of sense! You nailed it about only one of us able to trim at a time with the little’s running around (usually Mrs. N).

Hello, hello! I did some watering today, so I snapped a few photos.

Candidas at 6 weeks post flip as of tomorrow.

With stupid ass daylight savings, I thought it might be a good time to drop it down to an 11/13 light schedule. Candidas starting to wind down over the next two or three weeks. I tried to look back at how long the last Candida harvest took and it seems to me like that one went over 9 weeks! For some reason I was thinking 7-8, not that it makes a big difference. They’re already starting to flop over and I’ve found an upside down cola each time I go to water them. The net is good, but the lower colas fall out the big squares. I can appreciate why some nets come as a set of two for upper and lowers.

The bad news... something is wrong with afghani!!

She’s gone so yellow!! And she has such a long time to go, I’m pretty worried about her. She’s the only one affected, all I can think of is she’s underfed, or not getting enough water during her feeds? So today I made her, her own feed and upped it to 5.75g/gal. I also picked up some powdered aloe after reading @candycane’s write up on it’s benefits. So I added that to everyone’s water too.
She does seem to be bulking up quite a bit now, maybe she’s just hungry and I’m behind the ball? We’ll see how she responds.

As for the wee ones, Cherry 18 was a dud. She didn’t do anything at all in the dirt, so I dropped another one into water today. I need to borrow some mojo from @Carcass, I’ve had three bad seeds this time around and I usually don’t struggle like this. It is what it is, suppose. Hopefully this cherry 18 will sprout, I only bought 3 total. :nervous-guy:

Here’s the rest of the kush crew

I fed OG Kush with her first feed with MC and her leaves started perking up right away, so she’s looking happier and that makes me happier too! :)

That’s the whole tour for now, I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe!

They look beautiful HH! I have a couple of plants that have been similarly yellowing like your one and I reasoned that they still have potentially a month to go so I have given them some top dressing to help them to harvest. Wow, those Candidas are really looking lovely!:yummy:

Sorry to hear about the dud, HH- feel free to use some mojo...although mine evidently only works 66% of the time... :)
I don't see any tip burn on the Afghani, so a bit more MC than what she's used to might be just what she's looking for...

A very appropriate 2 thumbs up for the Candidas! :Rasta:

I'm thinking your increase of the MC will help the Afghani. She does look like she's just hungry. Fingers crossed.

And now to get kushy wit' it!

Very nice Hh! That Saugaview shot of the buds is really fantastic! Hopefully the bump in feed for the Afghani will get her back on the right track, I’m fairly confident it will.

Too bad about the dud Cherry 18 but I’m sure the next one will pop up just fine!

Thanks N, I sure hope so! I’m sprinkling some of @Carcass’ mojo on it right now, so if that doesn’t do it, I don’t know what to do! :laughtwo:
I hope bumping the feed on the Afghani works, and if not you can probably borrow the green filter MrS uses, since he just finished taking pics for the week.
:)

I just peeked in and I think she looks worse! I’m thinking of giving her a ph flush and follow up with a 5.5g/gal feed? Or am I just not giving her enough time to take in what I just gave her yesterday?

I've always waited 4 days for any feeding benefits (or damages) to start showing up on the plants.
She should have an answer for you by Thursday morning....:goodluck:

The new ones look great HH! I'm not sure what's going on with the Afghani. My feeling is if it was from a lack of nutes there's no way it would turn yellow that fast. If it was from a lack of feed frequency it would. I'm not saying that's what happened, but a plant can turn yellow real quick if it's not kept moist at all times through flower.
My opinion on MC is that 5.5g/gal would be enough to keep the plant green to the finish line.

I really think you’re on to something there, it’s very possible she was too dry. Thank you for stopping in Mr. S :thanks: I’m going to start watering her heavier, all of them actually. The only other thing I was considering was if my buffer went bad and I needed to start ph-ing?

I would need distilled water to do a slurry test, right?

pH issues will show gradually. Even a lockout of a mobile element takes time. You see the signs first. This happened fast and really doesn't appear to be a pH issue or a lockout. The yellowing is uniform which leads me to believe she may have been running more on the drier side than wetter. You won't drown the plant or cause root rot at this point, so go crazy.

I'd bring the MC back down though, to 5.5g/gal., if you're going to go craaaazzzy.

Thank you Mr. S! I will do what you recommend. I just bumped it up to 5.75 per gallon in the last feed and that was the highest she’s had. I’ll drop it back down again. :thanks: :thanks::thanks:
