DAY 62 BANANA JEALOUSY 1-2.

Hi all just a quickie update. The girls are out enjoying the high temps 90+ and the cool breeze. No issues or deficiencies to report on either one. Just some happy ladies patiently waiting for the party to start.

And we had a friend show up and chill for a minute. And stayed still long enough for me to decent shot close up 😁.

💚💚💚🤘🏻
I'm guessing your groundhog hasn't bothered your plants, that's good. 😇
I had a staring competition with a groundhog this morning when I went to pick today's strawberries. Had a good talk with it about how it can just go back across the street to the neighbors and fuck up their flowerbed, leave mine outta it.

There's a stray cat living in the garage and I'm sure that's why Gary the ground hog hasn't been around....so me and the stray have a symbiotic relationship right now...I'll let it stay and give it food and water....it protects yard from birds and ground mammals 😂.

DAY 67 BANANA JEALOUSY 1-2.

It has been a busy week and haven't had time to update. Fortunately there hasn't been much of a change in anything except continuous grow, both of them are three foot tall and about a foot and a half across 👍 . They were each fed 1/3 @GeoFlora Nutrients Veg and watered in. With the temperatures being in the upper 80's low 90's they are needing water about twice daily. Over night with the temperatures remaining fairly high they are essentially bone dry, so I water in the morning before strong sun....and then later in the afternoon noon around 3-4 pm. So far no issues have arises from the heat nor the sun. This Banana Jealousy strain by @SeedsMan is awesome. So far these have given no issues and have endured multiple weather extremes and didn't slow..... definitely some strong genetics.

DAY 74 BANANA JEALOUSY 1-2.

I have been kinda busy and have not had time to update......and realized it has been a week 🤦‍♂️.

Both banana Jealousies have not received anything from me the last week except a little stabilizing. The storms that came through had some high winds and kept blowing them over so I built a temporary planter to keep them in place until the next clear day when I can go out and rebuild it and give them some growing room, they are a tad close right now. The rain has kept them watered and I fed last about 10 days ago so they have needed nothing else. Here are a couple pics from today when the rain let up enough to step out.

DAY 84 BANANA JEALOUSY 1-2.

Well we received some unfortunate news about seedsman being breached and cancelling the sponsorship here at 420 magazine. I wish them the best of luck with everything.

But due to the comparative being cancelled I now have 2 photos I am kinda stuck with 🤔😅.
I am not used to growing these and in my opinion this is taking to long 🤦‍♂️😂.....so how do you speed up the seasons to activate flower?....that's right move to artificial 😎.

IMG_20240706_110839887_HDR.jpg

So that's what I did this morning. Before moving the plants into grow room they needed to be carefully gone over and trimmed. Something was wreaking havoc on the foliage but I couldn't find any insects except a couple tiny spiders building webs in the lower notches.....they were allowed to stay 👍😁. After I made sure that nothing was hitch hiking in with them, they got a final trim and placed in they're new spot. The light they are under is fairly low powered but am ordering a stronger light this weekend with an additional standing oscillating fan.

Other than that feeding is in two days with next water, initiating 24 hours of dark on them tonight, and the grow space goes into 12/12 for the entire room.

Beautiful girl there! Personally I’d prefer to leave outdoors for 11 1/2 - 12 hours daylight and bring in for bedtime but that’s just my opinion. Best of luck!

The comparatives are still finishing, and 420 says they will hold them to the prizes promised at the end. So don't give up on it.

Cannot unfortunately, something is literally chopping whole leaves and stems off. Not sure if big passing insects or taller ground critters?! All I know is it's getting worse so I had to bring them in where I know they be safe at least.

No worries I don't give up on plants 😁. And a 80+ day veg is a good point to flip any way.....watching a lot of you finish up yours has made me want in that action lol

That’s unfortunate but makes total sense to me. The only other thing I can offer as a solution is raised beds lined at bottom and sides with screen material and chicken wire (version with smaller holes) and then about 4’ or so high chicken wire on all sides for critter protection. And although not organic, I have used the pet safe animal repellent around border of outdoor garden areas as well. It says you can put right in garden but I never have. Only things I’ve used for bugs in garden has been either Neem oil or SNS.

Yea this is first time trying out side growing so I was not 100% prepared for deterrents and prevention .... So I will try again next year with a plan in hand.

Thank you for the advise I'll definitely look into raised beds and fencing.

DAY 104 BANANA JEALOUSY GIRLS 1-2.

Alrighty..... We've been absent but not lacking 😁. So during the last 22 days since last update the girls have been moved inside, trimmed, and have initiated flower fully.

A reminder of how they looked the day they were moved inside..... 3 ft tall and 2 ft wide.
IMG_20240709_122337548.jpg

And now this is where we sit today....just over 3.5 and 4 ft tall and between 3-4 ft wide..... Just some fluffy ladies 😁

IMG_20240731_114100844.jpg

These ladies are definitely a low ...... slooowwwwwwww ...... grow lol maybe called banana jealousy cuz they're jealous at how fast everyone else finishes 🤔😅🤣... I joke but it's ok with me 😁.

She is peppered with bud zones throughout the entire plant and all bud zones are pretty closely spaced from each other so they should definitely both produce a fairly large quantity when all is finished 😁.

DAY 119 BANANA JEALOUSY 1-2
DAY 37 FLOWER.

Hey all, been super busy over here but I've been balancing parenthood, work, side work, tattooing, and growing 😂.......so I apologize ive been absent here .

The banana Jealousies are doing very well and seeming to love the space and the lights.
IMG_20240815_162925468.jpg

The stretch has definitely stopped and she's just bulking her bud sites daily.
IMG_20240815_162932196.jpg
IMG_20240815_162936387.jpg

They are being fed every 10 days with 1/3 cup of @GeoFlora Nutrients bloom top dress nutrients with nothing needing to be added so far .....*knocks on wood*😅.

I have a pretty good wet dry cycle going..... I'm watering every day in a half. And I've been waiting for them to do the droop before watering......and they bounce back after about 20 minutes.

We're still on a 12/12 schedule from 6am to 6 pm under a non sponsored led (unknown actual wattage).

Other than that here's a couple nug shots.
