A few of the seedlings have these little bumps and mild leaf curl. I've heard that this can be normal for LED-grown seedlings. Does anyone have any feedback on this?

In general, they're doing OK. On the next watering, I'm thinking of giving them 1/4 strength FF nutes.

Re: Hosted Competition - Haight Solid State vs. Hydro Grow LED

Hey, SS great work on the comparo so far. I like the light soil mix you're using, I think it'll work great. So did you come up with a height or date when you want to switch to flowering?
And are you sure you can't to lst any of them? lol Like 1 on each side, please. And I would love to see one pot from under each light get stuffed under that 150 hps cab at the 12/12 switch.
I'm with you Charlie, put the one that you're gonna cull , probably the smallest one, in the cabinet, with the 150. Great friggin idea !! See how great stoners minds work !! Merry xmas everyone !! Don't think a 150 could compete, but i'd like to see it. I know we're not supposed to be comparing any hids here, so Merry xmas everyone. And happy happy !! :cheertwo: :nicethread:

I don't know if it's normal, but my WW did the same thing. They flattened out in a few days.

looking great ss, all 10 look very good so far.
I love the labels, they make things 100 time more clear in the pics, great idea.
I also like the lights off closeups the best. Its the easiest to see whats going on. hgl 2 and 3 look like the stems and veins are maroon red. the light is off right? or is this a camera trick.
Lights on group shots are ultra cool too. I like seeing the different spectrums for some reason.

Taking pics with LED lights has been, ummmmmm, interesting to say the least.

I press the shutter button halfway to compose the shot, and the computer in the camera seems to pause for a second, as if to ask, "what the hell do you expect me to do with that?", as it decides on some crazy exposure setting that's a mile off.

The LED lights were on for all of those pics. The best results so far have been obtained by using the camera flash to overwhelm the weird LED light. If you look at some of the pics, you can see a pink LED shadow behind the seedlings.

At some point, when the plants get larger and I want to get nicer pics, I'm going to have to turn off the LED's and use some conventional lighting.

I couldn't find anything on LED compensation in photography on the Internet, but I'll keep experimenting.

thanks bro!

enjoy your harvest :grinjoint:

:rofl::rofl: lmfao:rofl::rofl::rofl: I feel your pain. I can't even seem to get good pics w/ the HPS on.
Thanks for this journal. I am incredibly excited to see the end of this no matter what the outcome. :thankyou:
