H00k's Not So Hillbilly This Time Grow - Girlz 2017

I just got Lebanese and Shit plus i have Peyote purple coming with Violeta as the freebie. Cant wait to get those going, i have Pck x Erdpurt running right now. .

Was getting a lil' nervous...late yesterday was 48 hours and only 3 taps were visible...its been my experience to get results within 24 to 48 hours...however...this morning 8 of 9 were showing proof of life...

...So today they went into dirt...the 2 Malawi's went into their forever homes(7 gallon) filled with 2/3's of my mixed soil and a 1/3'rd of triple mix/EWC on top of that...
P10602841.JPG

...The other 7 went in 6 inch pots with the triple mix/EWC...they'll stay inside for a couple/few weeks before up potting to 7's with the mixed soil as well and then the whole harem will go out to the shed...

Something I've always worried about when germinating seeds is the paper towels. Some of them brands have alot of something like lotions or the dyes some have, But I had one brand that killed all my seeds I was trying, well alot. But I have had seed stock that took 6 days to pop. I start stressing at 48 hours also. 80% pop withing 24 hours. Congrats on all the youngings. Keepem Green

Good afternoon!...been busy busy busy...note to self...don't expect a basement reno job at my daughters house to go smoothly...F@#k!...lolool...also got three loads out of my Dad's basement to the dump and restore...

So...one lilly and a malawi didn't show their heads above ground!??...WTF!...germed another of each and they poked their heads up yesterday and today...so they will a week behind their sisters...thats no biggie...

So the pineapple and og are doing fine out in the shed, although I'm having to play with a small heater to control temps and RH...have good air flow tho' and the weather looks good toward the weekend...hopefully it will stay nice...theres an old saying round these parts for outdoor gardening...don't plant till the first full moon in June...

Nice.

Hey there Doc .... looking good there buddy.. for cracking seeds all I do is soak them in a glass of 1/2 peroxide and 1/2 filtered water... usually I see tails in 24ish hrs then into final containers. I'm with Woddy, paper towels sometimes have chemicals added into them that are bad for see sprouts. They mostly just float there.... overnight and then into soil.

I sometimes wonder where that paper towel method came from. I never hear anyone sprouting tomato seeds or other veggies in a paper towel?? Only time is cannabis seeds... weird.

Thanks bob...yeah, paper towels...just something I've always done and had a high success rate...I know some people just put them in wet soil with equal results...but, I like to see the tails...maybe I will try just soaking next time...don't have to worry about the towels drying out...lolool...what is the thinking with the hydrogen peroxide?
The auto's went in their final pots, because from what I've read due to their growth pattern its wise, so as to not have the tap bottom out in starter pots...Photo's, I have always up potted...mostly due to space...have to start them in the house while playing a guessing game with the weather...
Do you add any particular amendments(that you prefer) once plants have started flowering to enhance blooming and bud development?... anyway thanks for stopping by...have a great evening...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

lolool...I can vividly remember things like 40 to 50 years ago...but...where did I leave that tool I was using just a couple days ago!??...oh and anything on the honey do list...but that's just selective I think...lolool...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Evening!...few pic's for the journal from today...

added big honkin' 85W CFL to auto box...trying to coax Pineapple Express to get some legs...

...The basement girlz will be due for a watering tomorrow or the next day...will prolly add a little fish emulsion and humic acid to the water...They should be able to go outside to the shed in a week or two in 7 gallon pots...wishing now I had a veg room with my T5 board to veg them a lil more in a cost effective fashion..hindsight is 20/20 vision...lolool...Have a Great Week Ya'll!...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:

Good afternoon...wet gray Sunday here...blah!...maybe try to find a movie to stream...but an update first...Its 21 days for the girlz downstairs and they're about ready to move out to the shed...even the week behind 2 are coming along nicely...once the smaller pots dry out a bit more(fed on Thursday) they will get transplanted...

I was gifted a light from a bud who never got around to using it...1000 watt Chinese led...full spectrum COB?...so now Instead of using the hoods from the basement...I put 2 lamp sockets back to back and the 2700K CFL's from the basement will in them at the time of the move...have the pots all ready to go...

...the girlz in the auto box are doing OK...OG is outperforming the PE...about 8 inches taller and more buds(they are bulking up a bit as well)...the PE has been stubborn from the get go...short and dense...I did get her spread out pretty well, but she's not reaching as I hoped she would...won't be much yield from her...I've got a shitty shot of them in their box...will get an outside shot in the next day or two when I get them outside for a feeding(compost tea/molasses/humbolt secret) and closer inspection...

...That's about it...have a great day...and for anyone that has to work tomorrow...sucks to be you...LOLOOL...cheerz...h00k...:Hookah:...

Transplant day!...normally, I would have pics of root devleopment...but..sometimes life gets in the way..the purple mexicans and a lilly and a sugar loaf had roots wrapping around the bottom of the pots...kinda surprised, since these were bigger starter pots than I normally use...and at just over 3 weeks...

Plants look great hook! I wouldn't sweat the runt... it happens! Drop another seed and fight for a place to keep it??

The walleye biting?? Hope you and the misses enjoy your summer! How about a smoke report for last years harvest while you wait? Peace brother!

Thanks Bud...considering never playing with auto's, and new soil and new light...can't say I'm surprised...the OG is looking like maybe a week or two more, judging by the pistils...will be checking trichs next time I bring her out for watering/closer inspection...really like her structure with just one topping...I may or may not start another auto...have the time...not sure if I wanna' spend the dough on power tho'...we'll see...have some fast and Vast...incredible bulk...and more malawi on hand...

Some issues with the main room...putting in the ceiling over the room has caused some heat/humidity concerns...can control it, but is a PITA...gonna see if I can stabilize without having to add AC...I am a cheap SOB ...lolool...also...this morning on their second light cycle...2 of my 4 300 watt UFO lights failed...all chips out, except for one flashing red...waiting for a response from manufacturer...not a biggie right now, being so early in veg...enuff' horsepower in there for now...disheartening tho'...they have a good rep for customer service, so we'll see how this plays out...

Aside from some shore casting and canoe fishing out front for steelhead...haven't dropped a walleye line yet!...undertook a basement bathroom reno at my daughters house...way more time...money...stress than I was counting on!...should have it wrapped up within a week...then...some ME time!!...lolool...

...As for a smoke report...all are typical indica, especially when taken to amber trich level about 25%...nice mellow sleep inducing effect...If I had to chose a favorite for that run...prolly Tangerine Dream... the sugar leaf/small bud mix from all strains is a nice well balanced smoke and has been a staple ...not so couchy...just gave two of my fishing buddies a vacuum sealed bag of Money Maker...they like it...
