Gypsy's Caravan Chronicles - Book 1 - Caravan Chaos

I pre-sexed the Purple Lamborghini seeds. Looks like 5 female, 4 male and 2 unknown. Nice fair ratio. :)

Just got the email. The Bern is on it's way. Still waiting for replies from the other two so TDT gets another brownie point. :thumb:

I really need to get into town more often lol. Today I ran into someone from the old med dispensary and was gifted some M/F Purple Urkle seeds :yahoo: Same source as the last time I ran it. Solid grower with very few blank looks :laughtwo: so it's been in good hands.

1 hour to lights on :passitleft:

So how accurate has pre sexing been for you Electro.? Sounds like something i should be doing when I run regs.

I just popped some Slurricanes too.. Sounds like we might both have a bad ass harvest around the same time. Congrats on the Urkle seeds too. I saw some s1 seeds fro csi humboldt online for $100 per pack... I should make some seeds, lol.
I'm interested in the different phenos you might find because after my accidently breeding project I realized that the Urkle has a lot more to offer than what's expressed in the clone. Good stuff Electro and such exciting times.. with all those genetics I'm going to be stuck on your journal for years to come.:Namaste:

Ok...you stopped me in my tracks here for some reason. Let me see if I can figure it out........ yeah.... explain please what you mean by "I realized that the Urkle has a lot more to offer than what's expressed in the clone"? A part of my brain really wants to understand that statement and wouldn't let me walk away. :laughtwo:

:laughtwo: I like the way you judge his capabilities. Very few blank stares. Lol! Congrats, that's quite a gift for a man with your passion. :high-five:

Did you remember coconut oil? :battingeyelashes:

What's up Sue.

Once upon a time when I was learning to grow ( which wasn't very long ago, lol) I was running some unstable genetics and a strain I called Orka Cookies threw some early bananas during my initial pheno hunt. I was growing a Purple Urkle at the time and I found a few seeds in my Urkle. It was only 4 or 5 seeds but I knew who the culprit was and the Urkle is very stable, I've never seen a banana on her after many grows. I was interested on what would come from this seed since one was a green sativa dominant strain with no purpling and tons of Frost.

The Urkle has quite a few traits and is easy to spot. She vegs very low and stacks nodes really close. She produces rock hard buds that don't even start changing color until about week 7 and gets a full color on her tops by week 9. The coloring starts at the very tips on the top colas and works it way down the bud. The lower growth has little to no purple at harvest. Another trait of the Urkle is her leaves.
Shes all indica but here fan blades are thin and I swear you would think she was a sativa if you tried to judge her by her leaf shape. Her leaves do not purple either. Light green all day every day until flush where she lightens up and yellows.

The crosses I grew showed some amazing recessive genes in the Urkle. The color was everywhere and the berry smell was strong in all the phenos. The flavor from the urkle mom was a very dominate gene and easily overpowered all the other flavors. The purpling on 2 of the phenos started very early and started low in the canopy and worked it's way up. The buds also seemed to purple from the inside out starting at the little calyx below each bud. When I broke them open the color was bright and vibrant. Both these phenos were much more purple than the original purple urkle and did so with ease.

I honestly believe there is a better pheno of Purple Urkle than what was chosen for the original clone. I've seen some S1 grows that produced solid buds and full color from top to bottom and looked almost exactly like the original. The genes in the Urkle are packed with some very desirable traits and I want to see what else she can do... She a wonderful plant and I hope 10 years from now I can Bragg about having her to the new 420 members.. lol, future goals..

I've been pre-sexing for quite a while. :hmmm: Forget how many years now. My record is 100% :) but I know when to back down. A good portion of my 'questionables' end up female or mutant.

Lol, I probably saw the same CSI seeds during my binge. I knew if I hung on tight a clone or seeds would appear sooner or later. It's a pretty popular strain here. He gave me F1 seeds so this IS going to be fun for the late summer/fall roster. :)

Purple Urkle is known for multiple phenotypes. ;)

This guy has been breeding it for a long time and does a really good job. He said I'll see a few easily.

I about died when he said he had it :thedoubletake: I was actually hitting him up for his Grape Ape or Harlitsu  His Harlitsu is awesome. It's a 50/50 THC/CBD that's incredibly strong. Gorgeous plant.

Just not a night for flash pics lol.
Avalanche rolling along. Too bad she's so stressed from seeding and that little pot. There's hints of that genetic water release leaf curl thing going on. I'd like to see a lot more of that. :)
Avalanche.jpg

She's producing seeds that are the results of using fem pollen from a Scott's OG x Dark Angel donor.

Aubergine still sits there purpless. She's also taking a very long time. Every time I look at her it's still two weeks out for the next inspection.
Aubergine4.jpg

Gobillygoo seeding. Scott's OG x Dark Angel fem pollen donor here too. There's some tiny Aubergine cross seeds and some better White Widow on other branches, but get a clear pic? nnnnooooooooo
Gobollygoo_seeding_x_Scott_s_OG_x_Dark_Angel_.jpg

and this will be the last of the Scott's OG x Dark Angel for while. This one is S1 seeding so to the archives she goes. I donated a couple clones too so it's spirit lives on. :)

All in all, gotta get moving and clear things out lol. The Myco-Tek stock calls. One more round of cloning and I think I'll flip the mothers tomorrow.

Ok. I'm doing good. Today's fix helped. :phew: BUT, I'm going to check a tracking number. Which means I need to log in. Which means I'll have to shop. :laughtwo:

Good morning 420 family :circle-of-love:

Been a little while since I've had this one out. Khione (Scott's OG x Permafrost) As tasty now as it was in the beginning. :) It tastes like a lime kush with hints of grape
Every bit as potent too lol. :tokin:
I think this will be the one to beef up Avalanche into a second version on the fem only side of things. In the mean time I'll introduce various males to Avalanche and keep her clone only for a while. Definitely into something really special with her. I woke up to an email from the guy I got the seeds from yesterday. I gave him a sample and now he's workin' me

Lime Kush with hints of grape........ OMG gypsy, you have me drooling over here, and I'm surrounded by the DDA scent from the girl hanging behind me. :laughtwo:

It's that or citrus kiwi. Tough to put a finger on, but good :tokin: That's been in the cure jar since January and it really hasn't changed much. A touch smoother maybe. Same comfortably numb high with the same intensity. :thumb:

:passitleft:

So much for the Blue Magoo BX pfft. Ain't no way in hell I'm sending you cash in a box dude.:rofl:

Lol, I feel the exact same way..
I've noticed lots of seed banks losing there credit card vendors lately and if federal laws doesn't change we will probably be using nothing but bitcoin very soon for online purchases.

Once Jan 2018 hits and CA rec sales kicks in I'm going on a clone and seed shopping spree up and down California.

I mean I get it. It's not fair. It's not easy. But at the same time.. Welcome to free enterprise. It's not fair or easy for a lot of people. Doesn't change the fact that a good business should have contingency plans in place and be adaptable. FAST. I place an order a week ago waiting for the instructions on how to pay email, and get nothing. Today I decide to log in and check it out. Still processing. So I go to some other pages to see if maybe they are on vacation or something and find a message from three days ago with the box story. Come on man I have a LIVE order here and your'e not going to give me the courtesy of an e-mail? Good luck with your business in the future and you better hope I don't end up your competition. If we had an aggressive smiley it would be right here. :laughtwo:

Sorry, a bit grouchy today feeling stress of dealing with banks (imagine that) and my immediate future. I took a big step today in beginning to network on the recreational side of the cannabis industry. I'm also negotiating a position with a non-cannabis related company more along the lines of what I normally do. So I may be facing a career cross roads in the near future. Shopping for a new house in case I have to move which won't be determined for another week or more. Shopping for car insurance. AND slow ass seed banks that won't even send me stuff to be distracted with. One thing for sure the universe has blessed me well and I feel like a jerk even complaining about it soooooooooooooo

:passitleft:

Upon further reflection and careful consideration I have arrived at the conclusion that Super Lemon Haze is not only delicious and potent for the spindly thing it is, but it gets me pretty tweaked. :trance:

Checking on the new mothers. Gobillygoo on the left and Permafrost on the right. :)
Gobillygoo_left_Permafrost_right.jpg

and a quick peek at the Myco-Tek Seed Co. cheer leading squad :cheertwo:
I brutalized them fairly well lol. Left them in gallon pots just a little too long. I'm hoping the stress will instigate a sex identification so I can at least justify those poor leaves around the base. They've been coughing up clone after clone from the recovered sections. Flip was going to be today but I think I'm slacking for the rest of the evening :laughtwo: It's been a dandy.
Gorilla Dawg F1 in front. Hell Monkey left rear. Chem 91ix right rear.. and that little thing front right.. I don't know :hmmm: Should probably check that.
