Why a supplement with Silica (and more info on why I don't cut N and feed a bunch of P).

This guy had some interesting information. Shed pointed me to your thread awhile back, but never actually watched the video.
Definitely seems to be legit given your results.
Theyre beauties my friend.

That podcast and the AN Phosphorus Myth videos are at the core of my growing beliefs.

Day 53

Given past Fastbuds grows, probably 20ish days left. Took them all out and cleaned up bottoms some more and thinned out the inner fans. Back left got the greatest defoliating. Fed 2 gallons each of my 6/5/5 blend (6g MC, 5ml Silica, 5ml Cal-Mag). A headache free grow so far. Maybe one might be close enough in 11 days enter as a POTM at the last minute.

Sure...swooping in at the last minute to dash the hopes of the other entrants!

Looks like there's a couple solid entries already. I really need these things to color up for prettier pictures. Where's the pink of Strawberry Cheesecake and Purple of the Purple Lemonade?

Funny sidebar...Last weekend we worked on the yard most of the day then relaxed on the back deck with a few margaritas. I had a co-worker that lives down the street stop by for a cocktail. She has no idea I grow. The tent vents to an attic/outside on the rear of the house near the deck. Several times she proclaimed "there must be a skunk in the area, I can smell it".

Day 55

Everyone came out for a big watering. 2 gallons each of plain tap followed by a gallon of 6/5/5. Gave them a bit if a rinse and reset. Some of the buds are getting a bit heavy for the height of their branches so I had to break out some bamboo stakes.

How often are you rinse and resetting? I’m starting to see droopy leafs and some clawing. I’m not sure if they are still recovering from the shock on the 19th. Hit them a little too hard with the nutes. I’ve stopped using BE and now only use MC/SC.

I don't worry about it until I get to full strength nutes, which is about day 28. I'll do it then and then about every 5th watering thereafter, which for me is about every 2 weeks.

Mine started clawing on me last week after I hit them with 5g/gal MC and 1g/gal BE and SC, so I was considering it. I ended up dropping the BE completely and bumped my MC to 5.5g. I flipped on 3/2.

Amazing spears farside! I hope things aren't too crazy by you.

I'm not clear on why you bumped up the MC after seeing clawing. It's not like there's any N in either BE or SC so all the nitrogen was coming from the MC.

I didn’t know what all that meant at first. I thought it was from the low humidity and cold temps. It really wasn’t bad at first, so I didn’t look at it as a nitrogen issue.

Ever since I pulled the natural light out of the tent, I hadn’t been checking the color every day like before. When they told me BE wasn’t for soil it kind of threw me off my game. I took out 1g/gal of the BE, so I added another .5g/gal MC and .25g/gal SC to kinda balance it out. I didn’t stop BE to try and fix the issue.

My thought was that if the bag says I should be at 5.5-6g/gal MC, then 6g/gal total is where I needed to be regardless of the ratio.

I’m still playing around to see what it can do. 5g/gal MC, .75g/gal BE, and .75g/gal SC seemed to be the sweet spot. I haven’t been using the SumaGrow.

It's always more important to read the plant than follow the schedules, since every plant can be different. I'm just at 5g/gallon now even though according to the schedule I should probably be at 5.5 or 6. As long as my leaves look happy I'll leave them alone.

Agreed. I'm about mid flower on my solo GDP girl, and she's quite content at 5.25g/gal. She's been sucking the mix down, and kept a nice green to her.

Nothing too crazy, everyone, including the plants are healthy. Still have my trainee until the 22nd, which cuts down on my 420 Mag time.

Day 60

2 weeks (ish) left to go on three of the ladies. Back left (Strawberry Cheesecake) is a real laggard and is just now getting into bloom good. She's weeks behind. I've had to put bamboo stakes in all the more advanced plants to keep the colas upright. Still not getting any color to them. Don't know if it just comes on late or if some of it may have to do with the spectrum of my light (3500k). It grows monsters, so if I gotta sacrifice some color for weight, so be it. I'm off Monday and Tuesday so maybe I'll get a chance for a decent photo shoot of each individually. Might be a bit premature, but that's what I thought when I took the pics of my Blue Dream in June but it still worked out OK. ;)
