Growing Without Bloom Nutes By Farside05

Day 20

Pots were getting light. Since I haven't really been feeding till runoff for almost 3 weeks now, I decided I'd do rinse and reset. I ran 2 gallons of plain tap water at each of the girls. It took about a gallon and a half before I saw any runoff. Then I gave them all a gallon of the 5's (5mg Mega Crop, 5ml Pro Tekt, 5ml Cal Mag). I'll stick at this strength feed until the flip, barring the plants showing any deficiencies or tip burn. With a good soaking of the Faux Mix™ like that, it will probably be Sunday before I have to do anything else to them. They'll probably get topped around that same time. We've been having some unseasonably cold weather, which I'm sure is slowing them down some since I do not supplement heat in the closet the tent is in. Its about 6-8 degrees cooler in there than optimal. They're still pretty good sized for 20 days though. Since they are photos I can always choose to just veg them a bit longer to make up for any slowed growth. I didn't shoot any pics because the light turned off before I finished. 10-4 used to be lights out, but with the time change its now 9-3. I'll try to post up some pics later when the lights come back on.
Farside05 my lights are on 6pm to 12pm. Off 12pm to 6pm. Since they are on timers I had to adjust the timers to stay on the same schedule since I was used to it. Lol.

I had to do the same. Plants got an extra hour of light, but I'm sure there were no complaints. :)

Hey farside, off topic but are you going to hit any of the British Lion shows in Jan/Feb? I may try to hit a few.

I could change my timer but my tent is a fairly tight fit in my closet. The timer is behind it. I'm too lazy to crawl my fat ass behind there to change it for the 2 weeks or so I have left in veg. I'll just sort it out when I change it to 12/12.

Ugh, why we have to keep up the "fall back" charade is beyond me. Keep me in the light longer in the summer, and lets be done with it. :D

I hadn't even been paying attention. There are a couple dates (Atlanta and Nashville) that are within driving distance. Considered going to the Maiden show in Atlanta last year at the last minute but it was an outdoor venue and the weather turned for the worse.

Daylight savings is manmade. I just leave my timers as is. Half the years bloom is from 8-8, the other half it's 9-9.

As someone who works 3rds, I'm not a fan. While everyone else gets an extra hour of sleep, I get an extra hour of work. Then it always seems like I'm off on the Spring Forward day when I'd only have to work 7. Go figure.

Nice. I'm looking at Nashville myself. Love Nashville. :)

I was at the Atlanta show last summer, and it was hot AF in the pit. I was wiped. Thankful for friends with seats and water deliveries. :D

Maiden dates are getting released tomorrow, but I think they are all overseas. Australia, New Zealand, EU, etc. I've seen this tour plenty enough, so not worth the travel expense for me and a third leg. :(

Sorry for the hijack, back to the awesome plants. :D

We must live in the same general area. I'm around Chattanooga.

Chattanooga, wow brings back memories. I used to go spelunking "Caving" years ago, around 1978 or so. I went to college in College Dale, Tennessee.

Samsies here, only I'm in flower

Down with daylight savings time !

I'm maybe 8-8.5 hrs from there.

I do love Chattanooga though. Great town, great area.

I work thirds as well, and I was actually off this time around. Work doesn't compensate for it either, so the fellas who were stuck working still only got paid for 12 hours instead of 13.

Those fan leaves are starting to put on some girth!

Just ordered up one of the Dr meters to give it a shot. Will let you know after I can get some testing on the lights.

Finally got to mess with the meter a bit earlier this evening. Found I was throwing about 20k lux on a little one, according to the meter, but the plant doesn't seem bothered by that so I've left it set where it's at for now.

It's a decent little meter for $20. Couldn't really ramp the lights up to see how that went, but may in my other tent this weekend.

I love presents, and it's not even Christmas yet. The last of June's prize pack for Plant of the Month from finally arrived.
