Growing Without Bloom Nutes By Farside05

Welcome @SOG001. Took a gander at your thread. Looks like you built yourself a beautiful room.
Thanks it was a lomg time commin I am still dialing it in the temps and humidity are the best I've had in either of the last two grow rooms I've had Last grow I harvested 3 lb's from 8 plants I have to say coco for me is the best way to go

Coco has its fair share of fans. I've used Pro Mix in all my grows except the last one. I thought I'd give Coco a shot. It was alright, but Pro Mix seems to fit my watering style a little better. It's just what I've got accustomed to.

To each his own for me, and my inability to dial it back in soil, coco has worked well. I read your post about nutrients and feeding very interesting. By the looks of your plants I would say you are opening my eyes to a path to better growing
Thank you

I was going through my Blue Dream and Brooklyn Sunrise grow journal and I started bowl training on the 26th day also. The other plants did look like they were a couple days ahead of this grow, but the other grow was summer time and I didn't have to battle some colder days in the tent. Given the progression in the other grow, I should be wall to wall plant in the next 5-7 days.

Why a supplement with Silica (and more info on why I don't cut N and feed a bunch of P).

Thanks for sharing this video. Great confirmation to my thoughts. I have now done three grows in Hempy (Pour to Waste) with Pro-TeKt, Grow, and CalMag. My cost per gallon of mix is around 11cents. My triad of grow. Light, Environment, Nutrition. Get all three correct and wonderful things happen.

Welcome BT. It mainly comes down to those big 3, we all just drive ourselves crazy trying to micro manage them...lol

I love that podcast but have to laugh at it some in hindsight. The Dyna guy tells you that all you really need is a complete fertilizer like Foliage Pro and Silica, and that you can run that start to finish. All the other bloom boosters and such are manufactured and sold just because people think they need it, and corporations are out to make money selling you shit you don't need. Yet when Dyna starts to officially market to the Canna crowd, what does their feed chart look like? A whole laundry list of products, just like every other nute company out there. A bit of hypocracy you think? Lol

going through the prefectsun guys vids now.. i have used coco for shrooms in the past, just hate to do the wrong thing now.. will research a bit, thanks.
I also use Dyna-Gro Grow in an alternate media method called Hempy. 100%Perlite pour to waste. I like soil-less growing, keeps it so simple. Coined with Pro-TeKt and Cal-Mag perfect combo. I also use two of the Perfect Sun Mini’s side by side in my Flowering tent (2'x2.5') and a Single Mini in my Veg tent. I'm subbing in and following. Nice grow.

My Excel Spreadsheet

All kinds of calculators from plant nutrition to calculating dosing for edibles, summarized data from the Great Phosphorous Myth videos above, templates to make your own feed schedule, etc.
I tried to open your spreadsheet. Just clicked on it and it opens a new window but nothing happens. I have created one also that calculates ppm. Would like to compare, always looking for a way to improve the process.

The link is a redirect to my server. It probably opens a blank window rather than the spreadsheet. Depending on your browser, it's probably downloading the file, or somewhere there is a small prompt to save the file.

Agreed, I try not to over thing the process and focus on a path and follow.

I understand what you're saying about the interview. He says one thing and I feel he really means it. However, his partners and investors certainly have bigger ideas and will always win out giving the customer what they want. I must say I like having just a little flexibility to individually adjust the numbers. That is why I'm so interested in your Pro-TeKt and Foliage Pro grow here. I'm fairly sure it works and feel that Dave from Dyna-Gro is correct. Given your results, I will most likely move over as I move onto a next grow and deplete my current supplies.

Just to share, here are my two 420 Gold Leaf's at 7wks getting ready to flip this weekend.
The one on the left had a little early on trouble shedding it's helmet and was stunted some. Really messed with my LST ideas. Obviously the one on the right has some lower leaves that have finished their job. She is so ready to stretch, she's aching to push. Just wanted to wait for the left one to catch up a little first.

@BTzGrow It definitely does work. In my Easiest Nute Grow I pulled 18.5 oz on 4 autos crammed into 7 sq/ft. Pennywise and EastCoastGhost also killed it in the Vaults comparitive grow for Brooklyn Sunrise and Blue Dream using the two Dyna product method.

Hmm guy at my local store talked me into FF big grow.. any bad times with that?

How to use a lux meter to increase your cannabis yields. I use this a guideline for hanging height/dimmer setting on my custom build LED. I bought a cheap lux meter off Amazon to get my readings.
I also use a light meter, wouldn't grow without. I was able to buy a malfunctioning one on Ebay and reset the software to make it work.
Not bad, $38 for a meter that normally cost more than $150. Now I use it to make DIY Quantum boards for friends and map out the coverage and PPFD levels so they don't have to buy a meter. Great investment. BTW, this is measured at about 20" below my two PS Mini's in the middle of the tent.

I'm going to sit down with my Nute Calculator this morning over a Espresso Latte and play with the numbers. I'm also going to pack a bowl and check your Easiest Nute Grow before I start. Thanks for sharing.
