Verde haus is popping out the ground, bless these babies and pave the way for heavy foliage. Pix to come.

Hey Van I love your pot, hellz yeah, like minds think alike....bless your heart and hands, I sure praise em

Nothing happening here in the paper towel...

I took it out, ran more sandpaper over it, put it back in the ziploc, and put it in the freezer. I read in CanadaGuy's thread that some seeds like to think they're thawing after the winter! I'll take it out tomorrow morning and either put it back on the DVR or drop it back into the bowl. Sorry boys but it is not looking positive here.

Good going Illiz

No action in the arctic... I'll try to move her to a paper towel?

Might as well if it's been sleeping in water for 3 days. You might have better luck than I'm having down here.
Pretty sure my seed traveled in far below zero weather so it could still be "waking up"?

I WONT GIVE UP ON YOU CAPITAN JACK!

I don't like having it in water more than 12-24 hours. Mine was in the water overnight....never saw a crack. I just threw it in soil and let it do what it is supposed to do. I read keeping them in water for long periods (greater than 24 hours) isn't a good thing.

I would consider putting it in soil. Now out of curiosity.....for those of you with issues in germination, what is the temp of the water you are in? And for those that have been in paper towers, do you have them on something that warms them but doesn't cook them? The temps in my grow tent tend to be between 72-74 during lights out....and 86-88 during lights on.

Same genetics makes me think that the environment might be a determining factor in success. Thoughts???

Grow weed easy claims up to 7 days before the seeds drowns. I never leave them longer than 3 days regardless. I'll pop her in soil, well coco, today and she will go into the warm grow room to hopefully promote a pop.

I germ the same way every time. Only had 1 seed not germ for me this far.

Always have to have faith. Again I think the harsh cold may have sent mine a little more dormant. So I'll see if the warmth stimulates a seedling .

What direction do you guys plant the seed? I'm going with a rapid rooter. Let me know gang! 'MURICA

I'm hoping a little harsh cold will wake the sucker up! My water was probably in the low 80's on top of the heat mat, probably close to the same on the DVR. I'm not giving up yet. I'll start the process again tomorrow morning, so I'll either end up a week behind or a cheerleader from the side :). If it's truly a dud I'll drop a Northern Lights auto that should be arriving soon. Maybe I can sneak that one in here if no one minds.

I think some good heat is definitely an important part of the equation. I know with veggies.....some seeds like very specific environments to germinate and changing those a few degrees can change your success rate greatly. I have to imagine that cannabis can be sensitive to those temps as well.

I come across so many journals where people talk about the difficulties of successfully germinating seeds and I just gotta believe that there is more to it than just a potentially bad batch of seeds from established breeders. Someone was just posting they only had one of five Humboldt Seed germinate. I gotta believe that its something the grower is doing and not the seed. Common thought process is that all the established seed companies should be putting out genetics that have at least a 90% success rate. This part of the equation is something that really fascinates me.

Not at all brother....drop what you have if this one doesn't work.

For everyone else out there....please kind of track your environmental conditions so we can maybe find some sort of common denominator with germination if you are having any issues. Curious to see what we find!!

Mine went right from the fridge to the pot. Hopefully it'll be up when I get home.

So far sounds like your h202 mix may be the ticket
Mine was in water well over 24hrs and has been in paper towels for about 24hrs now
I'll drop mine in soil today so hope to have a new baby tomorrow morning

One would think that the genetics would be similar in them, but it would depend on the stability of the strain.

CKS insists not to soak for more than 12 hrs.
