Growing on ya and for ya! Pretty as a picture Van. Looks like the cream of the JH crop so far.Jack Herer Auto Day 53
She's getting big. Spread her out to try and get some better light penetration but she is morphing into a jungle! I am starting to dig this girl...she is growing on me.
Hi Amy, I'm growing a CKS JHa, but I don't know if I can give you a good answer. I have a couple but they are in soil that may be too highly spiked with nutes. I guess the first thing I can tell you is don't overfertilize them haha. I do have one that is coming up nice; it's been in the soil since late January but there's still no sign of pistils on it that I can see. I think some of the guys using Greenhouse seeds are starting to flower.Ok so Van suggested I check out this thread cause I was asking around about the JH auto from CKS that I might like to try. I got 30+ pages into the thread and no-one has even dropped a seed yet so... screw that! I’m just going to pop up here and ask the question ...
Hey CS! Are you one of the Canadians growing the CKS genetics? How long has she been ‘up’? How’re you finding it?
And others, are the CKS plants performing ok?
...’common’ name for comfrey is knitbone
It’s a great source for natural fertiliser too - a literal green manure (I say literal because if you make a ferment out of it, it truly smells like, well, shit!).
Yeah she seemed to grow out of the freckles/variegation. That stem is a monster on this girl.is that the one that had freckles like mine ?
I'm not sure Smeegol, it's a fungus that grows on the white andyelloe birch out here, it's called Piptoporus betulinus, aka birch polypore. You could look it up; if you can find it it's good for a whole variety of things.Oh wow, everyone's been busy while I've been sleeping.
morning guys and hiya @Amy Gardner. Some really good info this morning....
@flytier, we only get silver birch here, would that work....
@Pterostychus, thankyou kindly for sharing that as we have willows following the river course that flows through our town.
@Amy Gardner, lol I've heard it called knit bone but couldn't remember.
There are many species of comfrey. The one I have is the most common type ( S. Officinalis) unlike its cousins it doesn't spread vociferously or take over the garden and doesn't emit chemicals which repel other plants. As Amy said its a source of nitrogen and it's meds.
Good companion plant.
Enjoy your day...
Can't recall the time on these but my autos ran 84-110 days from sprout. There are quick ones out there but I don't think the JH was one.
I messaged him last month. He mentioned not smoking currently... he was gonna maybe be in my area this summer. I told him we should spark one if he's toking...Has anyone heard from Illizm? He's been in my thoughts quite a few times the last couple days. I hope that the increased daylight hours is working some wonders for him. If you are out there, drop us a line buddy.

So how's your back, feeling better today?

Mine is definitely the exception out of the bundle I got. For each one of those, we have Sheds that didn't make it....
