Must make you proud Blaze, seeing the national symbol, lol... Is it the same type you have? I think my tree has an Aussie name like Waratah or banksia etc but all part of the protea family...

Thanks for this Grizz. Never thought about it before; protea = saffa!
All respect to Blaze and jandre; just never clicked in my head til I saw this photo and read you call it a protea.. It IS a s. African native that was introduced for its beauty and the (almost)identical climate here. I just had to look it up!!
And I call myself a cricket fan!! Sorry Saffas!!!

The Protea flowers were one of the things in bloom when I was there. I must have taken 100 pictures of just that. LOL

Canna, they are beautiful flowers, would look even better when somebody knows how to point a camera, lol.. We used to have vases here, three or whatever years ago. I hadn't realised they were gone, lol.
 
It's a tree... Mines about 15' high and wide, actually it's split in half at base, more likely 25' wide.... Pink ice I believe.... Bonsai Protea would be cool, that's some advanced gardening...

She has acres to grow it...I just wanted to present her a plant and not a seed/bulb...
 
:passitleft: High Grizz... Just passing through... I'll be really happy when spring is over... Toooo much work but about have the garden done and also a bathroom make over that is about to kill me but it's almost done... All that's left is the bottom trim and that will hopefully be finished today...:yahoo: Then back to playing in my garden...:)...:circle-of-love:
 
never use it.. I don't get anything from it... Think I've used it twice.. Second time was just to make sure..

Yeah I knew you know how to use it. I'm jealous, lol.. I'm not into buying stuff to not use it, although happens a lot, see the dbv combuster and latest bong I brought..... I'm tossing up now between the mighty or plenty, a lot to spend though if I don't end up using it..

I just use my normal grinder and with my draw is bat pushed in the whole draw and sucked the air out in short puffs/sips every 2 or so seconds till my lungs are full.The temp is just under combusting and get good vapor as well.Ive found only fill the trench a third and just drop it in,not packing at all.It lasts maybe 2-3 hits and only use the fresh batt for max 6 hits.Here is a pick on how full I do it

Funny thing I did when I took this pic after using it today,was looking at the pic on my phone and tapped the side of my phone to knock the crumbs in you can see on top of the trench :rofl:
